This is one of the few remaining bookstores and they have the basics if you are looking for a magazine or novel. This bookstore is also good to take your kids since they have a decent size kids section.

I’m from small town Alabama. The local Big Bookstores are Books-A-Million with internal Joe Muggs for your caffeine fix. So, moving to El Paso, B&N took a little getting used to. Not much, but a little. It’s a bit small, but I still manage to spend ATLEAST $ 50 every time I stop in to peruse the aisles. I can’t pass up a good bargain, and they keep their bargain aisles(yes, multiple) well stocked. Also, it isnt overly fancy, but I like that. Its just books and books and books. And a corner Starbucks Café for that caffeine fix I mentioned earlier. Essential for a bookworm. 5 stars just because it’s books. And they’re kind of my thang.

This is my home, my office, my go-to in El Paso. I love the staff. Hands down, many have been working there for quite a few years, and they know their stuff. I love it here. They’ve recently added four large, cushiony armchairs near the power outlets beside the fiction section! They are super comfy and WAY better than sitting on the floor. I personally come for the café, though keep in mind they are not a Starbucks and some of them do not know how to make Starbucks specialty drinks. The café seating area is kind of small and fills up quickly on the weekend, especially Sundays. Inside the café there are also like zero outlets, so charge your electronics before you go! Four stars because of the staff and what I consider to be a well-stocked Barnes and Noble, though lacking a tad in the social sciences section I believe. Also, the history section here and at EVERY B&N is total and complete chaos… be prepared for a long hint if you’re looking for a specific history book. However, their products are high quality, I love every gift I’ve bought for people here. This place isn’t that bad! A small, friendly bookstore in a good location.

We’ve been spoiled and no longer is throwing some books on a shelf and placing a Starbucks conveniently inside enough. We’ve been spoiled by the Fountains and now we expect our book store needs to take on a more modern look with chairs galore throughout the store. Alas, this B&N will suffice. It does the trick. They carry exactly what I need and if they don’t, they’ll order it. It was a little tricky finding an employee besides the ones behind the register, but I can navigate on my own. I do appreciate the lack of James Patterson novels flooding the front of the store because let’s be real… everything he «writes» is trash. This probably has more to do with the set up, but either way I like it that way. This B&N is just your typical bookstore. It could use an update here and there, but it’s in no way inadequate. I also enjoyed my strange encounter with the woman doing circles in the entrance staring at the ceiling. I clearly interrupted whatever was going on in there because she quickly gave me a menacing stare and disappeared deep into the store. And as the legend goes, she’s still there lurking in the dark corners while unsuspecting book lovers pour over a novel while considering reading it on the floor or purchasing it, and she watches closely, smiling to herself ever so slightly, as she contemplates her return to the entrance.

Needed to get a Fantasy Baseball guide, and they had plenty in stock. This place is still the best place to buy books in El Paso outside of the internet. Of course, there are like 2 bookstores in El Paso, and the other one is the eastside B&N, which gets insanely crowded, so yea, this is the best bookstore in town.

Very clean and well organized, much like any other bookstore.

A small store compared to other Barnes & Nobles but a friendly and knowledgable staff. No DVD/CD section either.
