The only reason I’m leaving this rating is due to the fact that I came in wanted some steak tacos. They arrived and to my disappointment they had no flavor what so ever. I wanted to give the rest of the plate the benefit of the doubt but I had to return it. Management was super awesome about it and let me choose something else which was the shrimp tacos. Those deserve a 4 star rating. So unfortunately the rating is for the first meal that I really wanted, not the service.

I can’t believe I never visited Cabo Joe’s until now. They have the best chips and salsa in town. I had a burger along with their margarita fries. My husband had fish tacos. Both dishes were delicious. The service was great as well. We will definitely be back.

Sunday, nice by the way, Debating where to go??? Tilted kilt or cabo joes??? looking for a place to go have good food, drinks, but of course looking for the great customer service in El Paso area! Food excellent ‚ Drinks ice cold perfect, Customer service mmmm our girl(Ashley) was great I mean she was amazing But when another girl asks you if you need anything and just ignores you when you say you would like to order some food just because she’s too busy talking to her friends or looking to her cell its not cool!!! Quick recommendation Ms. Madea you should Put more attention to every customer not just the people you know or your friends!!! Just saying first time at this place, if we go back we will definitely ask for Ashley to serve us again!

Only in El Paso can you find yourself bar hopping within a shopping center but scout honor its that type of quirky that makes me love my hometown. After a night out we were ready for one more stop but closer to proximity to our houses because«les-be-honest» no one loves to make a trek home after a night out. I wasn’t even driving and I didn’t want a long drive home. Halleluyer for Über and seriously how does El Paso still maintain to have Über but our city council in San Antonio had to ban it; just to re-initiate them coming back into town. That’s a different rant for y’all though. Well I wasn’t expecting much and I kinda expected the whole Tilted Kilt|Bikini Joes, etc etc etc concept which my assumption was spot on. But that backyard though!(I’m certain doe will no longer be used so I’m gonna sadly opt out of using it for the sake of future me) It’s massive and there is so much space! Seriously how did they pull that off in El Paso because I’ve never seen that in a shopping center let alone. The outside patio is perfect for the stupid hot weather EP is known for as it has a nice breeze during the evenings. If you’re not wanting to spend a lot you definitely get your bang for your buck here. They have some great drink specials you can’t complain about. You can also order food inside yet I’m not too sure what time the kitchen closes at. It was a tad confusing as I wasn’t sure if it’s a restaurant still at night as I saw one or two kids but maybe they were hanging out with their parentals since nine pm? There is a massive center bar inside and a patio bar so it’s quite easy to grab a drink. If you manage to grab a table a waitress will also accommodate you. No frills no crazy dress code just great music with a chillaxin(I love Jenna Maroney from 30 Rock) vibe. So busy out the leies and your floral shirt because you’ll rock the night away here if you want a place to knock back a few drinks.

Food was great and servers were nice. We went here for early dinner around 6ish on a Saturday and there were many seating left. Happy hour is only Monday to Friday and ends at 6pm so that was a bummer. I got the combo, tortilla soup and turkey sandwich. Soup was greaaaat! Our server was nice, but she made me feel ashamed. So my bill came out to $ 10.81 and I had given $ 11.00(I was gonna tip her afterwards) and when she had come back with everyone’s bill and change. I didn’t get change nor a receipt. I asked her and she giggled and said it was only 19 cents. I said, «well, I wanted a receipt but it’s fine. I guess you can keep the 19 cents.» Idk, that was the first time someone willingly kept cents without asking the customer lol. Is that a thing that I missed? A few cents is not given back to a customer? Anyways, their nachos were good.

5 – 6 De Mayo… Great service, bar backs, servers, bartenders all on top of the game… Unfortunately, the music was not tasteful as it was off and on loud and very not mood setting, felt like I was at a strip club instead of a Bar & Grill. Cold drinks and great atmosphere!!! STAYHERE!

Came here with a friend to have some drinks for his birthday. We sat at the bar. The area was dirty around us, and was never cleaned. $ 1.50 Tecate’s you can’t beat. The girl misunderstood what I ordered when all I wanted was the lunch special. 5 hot wings, for like 4 dollars, which is a deal to me! She brings out the wrong order, which I had returned, and did not get another for fear of having my food spit in. She told me it wouldn’t be. But I already had lost my appetite since she screwed it up. She brought me the whole order of 10 wings with fries. Not what I wanted, way to much food. And something told me that she had it wrong. The chips and salsa were surprising good, which comes free. The girls are pretty, and giggly with their friends so your customer service might lack if you go. These girls work here based on their looks not on their waiting ability, or customer service.

I decided to see how this place was since they started opening up more locations, one close to me. I went for lunch and has fish tacos, which were good, nothing that would make me want to «got to have them everyday». But then they had their happy hours specials and they had appetizers on there and what’s classed El Paso style Flautas, which is their version of Chico’s Taco’s. They give two rolled tacos with white chees and a chile sauce which is much flavorful than Chico’s. I am not saying they are better than Chico’s but it is a reason I go back.

I popped in here for lunch by myself. I sat at the bar, and it wasn’t too long before I had a menu and was ordering. The place was not super busy, however, my server seemed to disappear a lot. I got my order in an average amount of time, and enjoyed my meal while watching the sports highlights on of their many TV’s. My server came out of hiding only once during my meal, and had an attitude like I was a bother for coming in alone. The food was ok. I had a burger, and while it wasn’t the worst I have ever had, it definitely wasnt anything special. I think that in the future, I probably wont return unless I am there with a group to watch a sporting event. I will say though, their alchohol prices were not that bad!

I can’t believe I’ve never reviewed Cabo Joe’s! It seems like I end up here every time I visit El Paso. That’s not necessarily a bad thing. Cabo Joe’s tends to be the most«El Paso» concept in John Geske’s empire. However, it’s El Paso style casual food done impeccably well. I tend to order the same thing on every visit. This last time was no different. The flautas with fries always seem to hit the spot. They’re essentially the high end version of a double at Chicos, complete with a little cup of green salsa on the side. For the uninitiated, these are rolled tacos filled with ground beef, served in a bowl filled with a spicy tomato broth. Here’s where I’m about to blaspheme and be declared no longer an El Pasoan by many– I prefer the Cabo Joe’s version to the original. They obviously take care with how they are prepared. The flautas still have the right amount of crunch when they’re brought to the table, the broth has a well rounded flavor and they use REAL cheese. The green salsa adds the right amount of acidity to cut the richness of the cheese and fried food as well as complement the sweet umami of the tomato broth. The french fries come seasoned with a lime chile salt which makes dipping for the leftover cheese even more decadent. CJs is not a one trick pony. I am always eating off of my relatives plates and am always pleased with the sandwiches, burgers and sides. Elote= OMG This is before even mentioning the drinks. Cucumber margaritas on a hot day is awesome. Bright, tart and with a nearly inappropriate amount of tequila, so naughty but oh so good. If it’s really hot, and if it’s summer in El Paso, it is, most likely is, a paleta-rita is the way to go. What is this concoction you must be thinking? Well, dear friend, it’s glorious(if unholy) love child of a boozy classic(a frozen margarita) and a favorite from infancy(a paleta– yes you get to pick a flavor). Drink and dessert all in one! Unfortunately, all of this does not earn you a full 5 stars, CJ. Why you ask? Well, on my last visit, we ordered the trashcan nachos… they looked like they paid a visit to said trashcan before stopping my our table. They individual components seemed ok, but the chips were broken up to tiny pieces, the queso and beans were haphazardly scattered about with some areas being plain chips, and meat was mostly gristle. Perhaps because I’ve had such wonderful experiences in the past, that I’m holding you to a higher standard, but I was just so underwhelmed. Service can be a little scattered but generally attentive and amiable.

It’s a nice bar that offers a large space and outside patio with games and a bar. Music is inside and outside and it’s a good mix between house/techno and hiphop. They okay the latest hiphop hits which I really enjoyed. The drinks are good, prices are ok and the service is nice. Overall we have been here a couple of times and I like the mixed crowd of locals and military people as well as younger and older ones.

I was at this loation last night with a group of friends, and seems the bartenders were more attentive to their own friends then actual customers. Several times we were ignored. We were told to pay cash and at times to pay with a credit card. Why the constant change? It was inconvenient. Makes me wonder what they were actually doing with the cash. Also with the Tecate promotion, it seems their was a promo advertising them for a $ 1.50, bartenders were charging $ 2. I spoke to the Manager this morning, i dont need to hear excuses. I get it. He asked if i asked for a manager last night, well it was now brought to my attention that one of my friends did ask for a manager, and no one showed up. Neat less to say, the manager i spoke to this morning did not seem interested and had an excuse. I advised him that his bartenders attend a customer service class. I know now i will have to pass this on to John Geske, as I am a customer at Geskes whenever I am in town. Hopefully this gets resolved real quick. This is not the first time I’ve heard negative things about this location.

I’ve been a fan and frequent customer of Cabo Joe’s for a few years now, and I am excited to have a new location. I’m hoping that more locations will help improve the crowds at all of them. I really like the Cubano sandwich, it’s what I order the most, but they also make solid burgers. I had become a creature of habit and always order a shrimp cocktail as an appetizer, however the shrimp cocktails at this location taste sweeter than at the other ones, they’re not bad, just different, they are also made with jumbo shrimp, which I hadn’t encountered at the other ones(maybe it’s a system-wide change of recipe, but I’ve yet to confirm). As for the location itself, it is by far the best Cabo in terms of TVs, space, and parking. The 2 large projection screens are viewable from most of the restaurant, and many big screens make it a good location to watch sports. They don’t have a lot of tables, instead they have a ton of bar seats, which I’m not a huge fan of, as I’d rather not sit with strangers, but the layout doesn’t lend itself to a lot of tables. All things considered, this may be the best Cabo Joe’s location.
