First impression is they need to hire more staff. Wait time is ridiculous. I stood in line over twenty minutes just to order. They have a ton of flavors but not a lot of healthy options. I believe smoothies, lattes, snow cones are supposed to be a quick treat not something that requires an hour-long commitment like a meal. The customer service was fine once you get attention but this place needs more staff. Stop being so cheap! Once I finally got the holy grail smoothie, it’s OK. Was it worth driving over here and waiting all this time? No. Just up the street an actual smoothie place opened up and they have fresh fruit and ginger add on, much better and healthier.

I am here with my kid EVERYOTHERDAY. They probably recognize us by now. We always order Mango Tango and Bahamakazi with extra extra jungle berry. The staff is always polite, and our smoothies are fantastic. I love that they have a drive thru and that they offer a military discount.

Delicious! A taste of the islands! There are a ton of flavors, would take a few years to try them all. I don’t know what magical thing they do to make their ice the consistency that they do– but it is magical! Love this place, and if you are wondering can a sno cone joint be that good or different from other sno cone places– the answer is YES! Aside from the deliciousness– some fun facts– they do military discounts, always appreciated! They do double stamps when there is a polar chill(under 60 degrees).

Love love love this place! The snow cones are amazing, smooth and so flavorful! The staff are friendly and the atmosphere is fun and tropical! Great place to bring the kids in the summer as a treat and a great way to cool off! Visit them in the winter and get extra punches on your punch card so you can redeem them for another cone next time!

Delicious flavored snow. We were visiting El Paso and this place is an oasis in the desert. Lots of options available to choose from, what can I say it is sweet deliciousness. Get the Bahama Rama mama — vanilla ice cream in the bottom of the cup.

(Late review. Was there last Saturday) I had been wanting to try this place for a while and was not disappointed as it lived up and exceeded my expectations. They have TONS of shaved ice flavors. I got a Mango Chili Chamoy regular shaved ice and my partner got the Hurricane Colada flavor with cream. I love how, unlike other shaved ice places, they made sure to pack them with extra cream/chamoy inside the cup, not just on the top. They do not skimp on the flavor syrup either. Very fast service and atmosphere. Will definitely return.

Perfect example of a summer staple. Their shaved ice is amazing yet sometimes they put too much or too little flavor. Service is always good and they are relatively fast.

I went in for my first time and the first flavor that caught my attention was Jamaican Punch. I have to say I always guess wrong on what size I’ll be able to finish. I went with a medium instead of a small and it was way too much for me. It was very refreshing however and the right amount of sweetness to it. The theme really helps you enjoy the experience and they even play«island» themed music. One of the things I really enjoyed is watching the employees shave the ice which I felt like was witchcraft up to that point. Very interesting process to watch. The flavors are extensive and you are able to mix. They also have smoothies so much of the menu is refreshing. The employees are very nice and are helpful in terms of what flavor you’re looking for. The craziest thing is that the spoon changes color in the cold. My inner child was very much awake here.

I have gone twice now. I have gotten the same smoothie both times. It is absolutely delicious. I get the Congo. I think I’ll try and talk my husband into going again today. Yesterday we went and he didn’t get anything then he tried mine and regretted his decision. The service is friendly but quick!

Love this place! The staff are super friendly, it’s nice and clean and the snow cones and drinks are awesome. The only reason I gave four instead of five stars is because I tried to order a coffee drink and they had no coffee: \

This place has taken a concept that is awesome and made it more awesome! My favorite flavor is the strawberry cream! My daughter tried the orange flavor. It was good. But I am a strawberry kind of girl! Anyway the service is good and the menu is easy to understand!

El Paso during the summer is like being a 400 °F oven! Every summer I visit and always crave ice cream to relieve baking in the hot weather. If you want to know where to get the best ice cream, come here to Bahama Bucks! By far, this place gives the best shaved ice I’ve ever had, even in comparison to ones I have tried in California. I always order the Bahama Rama Mama, which has Blue Bunny vanilla ice cream at the bottom and flavored shave ice on top of that mixed with their tropic cream, which is some kind of whip cream mixed into the shaved ice. Oh, and not to mention a mini umbrella to top it off with a cute touch! No matter the flavor this shave ice version is so damn good. I love the fact that they mix that Tropic cream… it really makes it more like some type of snowy ice cream. Second, the ice cream at the bottom makes it even it better. To me, this is my favorite part of the whole thing. The quality/brand of the ice cream really does the trick. The flavor is soooo good… it’s as if I’m eating condense milk ice cream, and I am a big fan of condense milk! If you have to get anything here, get that. I usually get the strawberry colada or daquiri. Love strawberry :). I saw that they have different flavors of ice cream, but I never tried the other flavors nor bother to ask. They don’t ask you for which flavor, so I believe the default is vanilla. Just wanted to let you know. During the summer it gets pretty busy, so the turnout time for your order takes longer, which is a downside. I think I waited a long 15 min to get my one bahama rama mama, which is long in terms of ordering any ice cream scoop. Hopefully my experience will be a bit faster. The staff is pretty friendly. If you haven’t gone here before, they always ask if this is your first time and that’s always helpful :). Bahama Bucks is definitely one of my favorite places in El Paso!

First time I have ever been to El Paso. I go to Bahama Bucks in Tempe, Arizona all the time and it is amazing! This Bahama Bucks in El Paso is horrible! The floors were dirty and they had just opened! I ordered two shaved ice drinks and the flavoring was only on top! What a rip off. I will never go back.

I love snow cones and when I tried this place I was amazed ice could be so soft! So many flavors and different items on their menu. I usually get the pineapple snow cone with chile and chamoy on top yum. I recommend everyone to go here!

Alright alright alright alright alright, it’s that good! You’re not going to find better shaved ice in El Paso… or Texas for that matter. It’s a franchise, but I love it! Don’t judge me. I got the 411 on BB from Xoe because you know Unilocalers have the best insider information. My only regret is how long it took me to try this place. You want shaved ice from a stand in a parking lot? HAAAA, I scoff at you. You must not know any better. Bahama Buck’s is where you need to go. Shaved ice… more like shaved heaven. I secretly think it not ice, but ice cream… those tricksters. Either way it is pure deliciousness. The smoothies are pretty much bombdotcom too. So why a 4 star? Well mostly it pains my heart to give any kind of chain more than a 3 star, but also the decoration is completely cheesy and cheap. I don’t know what I was expecting, but it just feels overdone… but who cares because the shaved ice is the BEST!

I heard about this place through Groupon, and decided to give it a taste. I’m not a big fan of sweets. It’s a rare occasion to see me eating an ice cream. My daughter’s school sold«snow cones» every Friday as a fundraising ploy, and I forced myself to scarf one down every week in the name of school spirit. Our first trip to Bahama Buck’s, we were greeted by Rudy, who happily made recommendations for each member of my family. I got the half-Jamaican Punch/half-Juicy Fruit with cream… Let me tell you, I felt like I just woke up from the Matrix. What the heck were those frozen«treats» I had eaten before? This place has completely revamped my frozen dessert taste profile! They have a military discount, plus frequent buyer«punch cards» so you can earn free treats. As of today, there is still the Groupon offer, so I bought as many as I could. So glad I live close to this place.

Bahama Buck’s is a staple in my diet. I love this place so so so much, it’s crazy. Who’da thought that snow cones would go well with cream? Innovators. That’s who. Yeah, snow. With cream. My all time favorite has to be the jamaican punch bahama rama mamma style(cream AND some blue bell vanilla ice cream deliciousness). They sell yummy smoothies, an assortment of flavored coffee, frozen lemonades, soft drinks with flavorings, paradise fruit(my personal favorite is the strawberries and bananas with ice cream, vanilla cream, and strawberry sauce), and snow balls(yes, I said snow balls. You can buy a pack of them anytime throughout the year and have your very own snow ball fight even though you’re in El Paso!) The only drawback of this location is that the store can get pretty dirty because of how busy it gets. During the week around mid day it’s not too busy, but Sundays and I suspect Saturdays are super busy. The line moves at an average rate, but it’s so worth it at the end. Sometimes they are so busy that they skimp you on the flavoring and cream which sucks, but you can always ask for them to give you more syrup if it’s too icy for your taste.

I LOVETHISPLACE! I live on the Westside, and I literally find excuses to drive to the Eastside so I can pick up some Bahama Bucks. The difference between Bahama Bucks and the other dudes in the parking lots, is quality. The shaved ice is consistent and so is the flavorings. They put just enough syrup to flavor the ice, but not pool at the bottom of the glass for you to choke down later. They have so many unique flavors, I don’t even know where to begin. My favorite part has to be their adaptation to the«border» culture. They offer Mangonedas(soooo good) which is their regular Mango shaved ice with either chile, or chile and chamoy. The staff is young, but really friendly. They also have board games you can rent out and play with your friends. And Free WiFi
