I wanted to write about my amazing experience at this location especially since I’m a visitor for the holidays from California.
Let me set the scene… I originally drove all the way out to this location for Costco on Black Friday since it turns out to be the ONLY Costco in El Paso. I was going to get my son the Xbox 360 they advertised online at an awesome price. Did the whole 9 yards got up early which is considered late for BF shopping waited for 2.5 hours only to find out they don’t sell it in store. Only online and it was already sold out!
Decided to take my chances and walk in the mall to look for a GameStop… thought there’s no chance in hell they will have the bundle pack console my son wants, and if they do it will probably be a LOT more or so packed I’ll just turn around and head back to the families home.
I was wrong. It wasn’t so busy I’m assuming because I missed the mad rush… it was 910 at this point. Walked in and greeted by the people who worked there. A friendly manager asked if he could help and I definitely did. I asked him about the Xbox and he asked if it was the one in the ad. Told him my situation and I’m not sure.
To my surprise they had pretty much the same deal as Costco! Which was $ 50 less then everywhere else. Target, Walmart, Best Buy! And I didn’t have to be there at 4am to get it. They had 1 more left and I bought it.
But let me tell you the real reason I even bothered to write this review. Jonathan, he was the most kindest, patient, friendly person I had ever encountered in retail and especially on Black Friday! There was a lot of questions he asked me just to be sure he had qualified me and made sure I had everything I needed for my sons new game system.
I had to call the bf to see if I needed these extra things or not and he was just so patient and told me no rush and he didn’t seem irritated or anything that it took me a little to gather the info I needed for my purchase.
So thank you Jonathan! I will be sure to call your corporate office just so they know how valuable you are because I know I really appreciated your help!

While I was browsing this GameStop one of the managers came up to me to give me a flier with their 2 for $ 10 used game sale for the new store opening, which was cool, I was there hunting for bargains, but what was curious was he mentioned this was a «GameStop Plus» store.
Obviously the store is new and shiny right now, so that doesn’t make it a «Plus,» all the «Plus» I could tell was that they had a counter with a couple of tablets you could try out, but nothing really out of the ordinary, GS has been selling tablets and other electronics for a while. I think the UTEP GameStop is bigger, more «Plus.»
Still, not a bad location, there are much tinier more cramped ones out there.
