Really good food! A must try, be warned it gets very full. This location is only opened from M-F 11am-3pm. Hot Subs are Small 7″ $ 6.95, or Large 12″ $ 9.95. You do get full with the small though it’s very packed. Soft drinks $ 1.50.

It was my first time there, so I order a pepperoni pizza for lunch. I was happy with the food and I will definitely go back.

Went at lunch time with my husband and even though it was busy and packed the service was excellent and the food was very delicious!!! We both had a slice of pepperoni each and ordered a steak sandwich to share. The only thing I would suggest is more provolone. Even though I had it just last week I find myself craving it again.

I finally ate at the Downtown House of Pizza. The Downtown location has now been open for 4 years. Always nice to be Welcomed by the local owners. Good people working their business. I Love the décor of this restaurant with mounted Album covers on the wall– From Patsy Cline to The Pixies. Morrissey music in the background. The place is packed but they still got out my food pretty fast. I will be back… with friends. I really needed my Pastrami fix.

So first time at downtown locale. Call me crazy, but I think the original one is better. Had the antipasto. I tasted the one at the original one many a time. Sumpn was off. The Canadian sub. it lacked flavor. The bread was awesome. But sandwich was a lil weak for ten bucks. Had the lasagna as well. We all shared gypsy style when we roll to a new place. Lasagna was good, but not great… plus no alfredo offering. :(I do like that pizza is sold by slice HERE. And the hours are M-F 11am to 3. I prefer the original better, just my opinion.

I’ve had two bad experiences with House of Pizza. I recently started a new job which is adjacent to the House of Pizza. I had been eyeing this pizza joint for awhile, the location itself has a air of modern simplistic elegance and the atmosphere is cool and relaxed. The smell permeating from the restaurant is rich and enticing and reminded me of New York so I was eager to try this place. On my first visit, on my way back to the office on a busy day, I ordered two slices of pizza to take back to the office. The wait for a couple of slices was around 10 minutes, so I sat at a table while I waited for my order. While I was waiting, a random homeless woman walked in and sat at the table I was at. She asked if I could help her out with some food and I told her I had ordered two slices of pizza and that I would give her one. I then left the table and went over to the counter to continue to wait for my order. I noticed the manager go over and speak with although I do not know what was said. Anyway, my order came out, approximately 12 – 15 min later and when I got the check I noticed it was significantly larger than I had anticipated, apparently the homeless woman had ordered more food and a drink, lol. Anyway, I paid and chalked it up as my good deed for the day. I have to say, the pizza on my first visit was DELICIOUS! I mean, really, really delicious. It was cooked just right and was the portions were very big and generous and I thoroughly enjoyed it and felt it was the best pizza I had had in awhile and I felt that the wait and having two pay extra was well worth the experience of this mean. On my second visit, I was having a cheat day on my healthy diet and was craving pizza, more I was craving that delicious pizza I had tasted from House of Pizza. So I went to downstairs and ordered a slice, I was informed by the cashier that it would be around 10 minutes or less for a slice of pizza. They seemed busy that day so I understood ordered my slice and waited at a table. 10 minuted turned into 25 minutes when my slice finally came out. I felt that 25 minutes was a rather long wait for a slice of pizza but if it was anything like my first experience I knew I wasn’t going to be disappointed and was willing to wait… Unfortunately, it was nothing like my first experience. The second time around the pizza was undercooked and the pizza dough was gooey and baked well. I wish I could give this place a better review based on the food quality on my first visit, but unfortunately with two bad experiences in a row I’ll have to give two stars.

I usually come with my boss… We order meat lasagna to share and two slices of pizza… Everything is always tasting good, service is great!!! They should close later, I don’t like that they close at 3pm everyday.

I hadn’t been there in a while but I was downtown on business and meeting a friend for lunch. House of Pizza is a place that fills up fast at lunch time with good reason. One of the first things that you’ll notice when you arrive is the aroma. The place has a great pizza aroma, like the pizzerias I grew up with. No microwaved pizza buffet here, this is as close to the genuine article as you’ll get in West Texas. You are sitting cheek by jowl with your fellow diners but that’s part of the charm. The service was attentive and efficient without being rushed, and was also still friendly. The menu is pretty extensive, sandwiches, pizza(of course) by the pie and by the slice and some pasta dishes as well, along with salads. This also isn’t your«bring the kids, slap some pizza in ‘em and send them to play video games», although there were some kids there and I’m sure that by no means do they discourage the younger set, but this is a place that is about the food. Anyway my friend ordered a small pepperoni pizza while I opted for the pastrami sandwich. It’s tough to get real pastrami in Texas, for some reason many folks out here think that pepper beef is pastrami. It isn’t. House of Pizza serves real pastrami. The sandwich came and it was large and the sub roll it came on was full to overflowing with cured meat goodness. The roll itself was great as well, toasted just enough to be crispy on the outside without drying out. While its not Carnegie Deli(who outside of NYC is?) this certainly is the best pastrami in El Paso. I have been away from HoP for too long, I will definitely be back. Great service and great food cannot be beat.

Their food is amazing! This is a must try for anyone downtown. I came here for lunch with some lady co-workers. We had a blast almost too much because we Forgot what time to go back to work! We ordered a small basic pizza n their ham n turkey warm sub It was delish! Pizza crust n dough had just enough flavor n their sandwiches are so yummy! Service was great. Waiter took care of like regulars we really enjoyed our lunch.

This location is great. I had the pastrami sandwich and it was more than a sandwich, it was a BEAST! Lots of meat, melted cheese, and fresh, toasty bread. I didn’t even finish my sandwich it was so big. I would have liked to have my drink served in a glass but they serve their drinks as 24oz bottles you get from a vending machine. That wasn’t a big bother but when I’m sitting down to eat I don’t want to feel like I just left a convenience store. I didn’t try the pizza but friends of mine have said it is good as well. The spot closes early since it’s more of a downtown lunch spot but don’t worry if you aren’t already downtown *HUGETIP* they actually have their own parking in the back so you don’t have to worry about paying for street parking. The atmosphere is great and you can actually see into the area where the pies are made. This adds to a little entertainment while you’re there. I got here a little towards the closing side of times and no one seemed to mine. I actually stayed 10 min past the closing and it was no problem. The waitress was really nice and helpful in describing the menu and answering any questions. Overall, if I had to chose a downtown lunch spot to eat, I’d go here!

The place is small, but feels very Manhattan-y. It’s downtown location is ideal since it’s a few blocks away from most major office buildings. As far as the food goes, it’s pretty good. The pizza is very tasty, and hearty. The antipasto salad is huge, and very well served, it’s a bang for your buck. The service is pretty good, but lunch time gets very busy. Overall, I know I’ll be returning.
