Been wanting to try this place for a while, missed out the last time I was in Texas because my layover was too short. This time I hit Rudy’s up my very first night having to work in El Paso for a couple days. They asked if it was my first time and proceeded to give me a couple samples of their meats and sides which I thought was a nice touch. I ended up getting ½ lb of baby back ribs, ½ lb of moist brisket, with a side of potato salad. Pretty cool how they give you your food in a crate. The side and ribs were ok. But omg the brisket was incredible. Melt in your mouth goodness. This is some of the best brisket I’ve ever had. MOISTBRISKET!!!

Man, this place is awesome! The prices are decent, the food is great and the atmosphere is exceptional! I got the ½ brisket and it’s probably the best brisket I’ve had in my life! It can get a little crowded on the weekend or during lunch but it’s so worth it

I know this is a chain restaurant, but I found it to be exceptional. I would consider this as my first time having«texas BBQ» which focuses on the brisket. This place has a great feel to it, with bbq sauce on picnic tables and a «salsa bar» area that has pickles, onions, peppers, etc. things to have with your bbq. They also provide you with white bread(another staple of texas bbq). The cashier was nice enough to give us a sample of the green chili stew, which was amazing. I don’t think I’ve had a more delicious chili. Also, their brisket was awesome and so was their creamed corn. I would pass on the baked potato if I was given another chance, and probably pass on the sausage and get more brisket(and maybe ribs). Definitely go for the green chili stew! yum.

I love this place, the brisket is amazing and so tender and moist. I wish they would open stores on the east coast.

After a morning of running errands, this 9 months pregnant mama-to-be was starving! When my husband and I walked in, I absolutely fell in love with the décor. It was so laid back and it kind of reminded me of the bbq shacks I would go to in Alabama when visiting grandma! When we got up to the register, the cashier asked if we ever been here and we informed him the we had not. He explained the menu and also offered samples. We sampled the turkey and it was damn good! We ended up ordering ½ chicken(yum), ½ lb spare ribs(to die for) and ½ lb of moist brisket(tender and yummy). We also ordered bread and a medium size creamed corn which was heavenly! It wasn’t extremely sweet and had a nice buttery taste to it. The only downside is that I wish they had more sides to choose from. I was hoping there would be an option of Mac n cheese, or macaroni salad, or even French fries. I also wish they offered a salad of some kind. That was the only reason why I gave Rudy’s 4 stars instead of 5. I’m looking forward to going here after the baby is born when I’m not battling heartburn and indigestion. I will be getting the turkey sandwich!

Ok so, I’ve always heard about this place, and even seen it several times… Yet never stopped by. I mean, it’s a gas station. Well, it’s a BBQ joint, but it’s a gas station… Actually I have no idea what it is. But you know what i do know? I was an idiot for living here for exactly 13 months before ever trying it… And since I have tried it, I’ve been back twice. Sh*t is serious. It’s a little on the pricey side, but in my opinion it’s well worth it. I drop about $ 50 every time I walk in, but in fairness that’s for 2 people AND we purposely order too much so that we can eat it for lunch the next day. The usual(so far) is 1lb moist Brisket(CRAZY F***ing good), the giant smoked(baked) potato with sour cream-cheese-brisket, ½lb Lean brisket, cream corn, slice pecan pie, 2 drinks. That FILLS us up there, and even lasts enough leftovers for 2 lunches afterwards lol. That’s whole thing(I’m pretty sure I got military discount) was $ 47. Huge floor plan, plenty of seating! Sauces are on point. TVs ALWAYS playing sports. Love that. Staff is crazy friendly and helpful and if youve never been there, they’ll grab a sample of EVERYTHING for you so you can decide what you want. Really awesome Many drink options, from Gatorade to beer. They got it all. And like I said before. It is technically a gas station… So hmmm, why not fill up? Might as well mayne.

I recently moved from Texas to California, where good BBQ is unobtainable. Fortunately for me, I work part time in El Paso and there is a Rudy’s for me to get my BBQ fix. For a «chain» BBQ spot, Rudy’s always hits the spot. I order all my food to-go so that I can eat some and bring some back to Cali with me. The staff is great about providing BBQ sauces in their to-go containers and packaging everything so that its safe for a plane ride. You can’t not wrong with any of their BBQ or sides… but my favorites are the chopped, moist brisket, cream corn, and peach cobbler. :)

I love me some Rudys BBQ but yesterday after repeated requests, my order was horrible. I asked for a ½lb moist THINLYSLICED, and hot. The reason why I asked for hot, because the sample they gave me was cooled. The brisket was thick, cold, and after driving 10hrs straight, I didn’t have the energy to turn back around return it. I notice this location doesn’t know what thinly sliced is, because the slices are always chunky

More like 3.5 stars. I notice Rudy’s throughout our drive through TX. I never noticed them before on our last trip – 7 year ago! I am eager to try them out, so on our stop in El Paso… Rudy’s is what’s for dinner. They have a cute little convenience store inside as you enter. I didn’t go in but I could see they sold what’s probably their signature bbq sauces and seasonings. We are instantly greeted by the workers who were upfront working the store. You walk into the dining area, and it has this fun farmlike, small bar, cafeteria vibe. That’s the best way I can describe it at the moment. You don’t get seated – seat yourself. So don’t walk-in expecting someone to ask how many is in your party. You walk pass their store, then you will soon figure you have to stand in line to place your order. Their menu is clearly visible, and not overwhelming to look at. Everything you order is ala carte. The meats are sold per half pound. So remember… ala carte. Don’t expect to find combos that come with a drink and/or side. They will ask if you’ve ever been there… which we of course said, no. The upbeat girl helping us offered a sample of their turkey meat, lean brisket, and their creamed corn. About this creamed corn… wholly smokes!!! Frickin’ delicious!!! If and when you go… PLEASE…BUY…IT! And don’t buy the small size. Trust me. I really regret not buying more for our journey home. But, last thing you want to do on a long car ride home is eat anything drowned in dairy! So I ordered the pork ribs, boys had the brisket sandwiches… which btw, is literally brisket meat inbetween two buns. Why is my head always in the gutter. Hahaha. Husband ordered the MOIST brisket which is different than the lean brisket. What’s the difference? The moist brisket is… moist. The lean brisket is «dry». However, I didn’t think the lean brisket was dry. Coming from a person who enjoy well-done foods as well. BUT! My husband doesn’t like his food well-done and he thought the lean brisket was still moist as well. So you decide… because the lean brisket is offered to you as a sample. Personally, as a rib fanatic. I didn’t care for the ribs. Even after drowning the rib in their bbq sauces that they have on the table for you. Oh! They have picnic tables and have long tables with those metal folding chairs. So ribs… yeah, they were definitely tender but I wasn’t impressed. I enjoyed them anyway because I love bbq and I love bbq sauce! The brisket definitely is worth trying! It was pretty good. My only gripe was there were peppercorn overload as the seasoning. Not a big fan of peppery things. And this… was seriously peppercorned. Honestly, the sandwiches were a disappointment only because they give you free slices of bread with your meal, in which, you can ask for more. I couldve just ordered the meats and used the complimentary bread to make their sandwiches. They have this condiment bar that offers jalapeños, peppers, and other things I didn’t get a chance to look at. So if you order a sandwich and think it looks plain… go to this bar to jazz it up. Also, if you have children who are french fry freaks and will ONLY eat french fries because that’s the demand of the hour… you won’t find it here. Annnnd if your filipino like me… bring your rice cooker. Lol. Overall, it was a fun experience. I do wanna go again to thoroughly experience it. Toddler and baby were fussy after a long drive-in…twas more like a hit and run. All business… order, eat, go! I would recommend Rudy’s specifically for their creamed corn served hot! Its soooo good! And so far that im gonna have to find a copycat recipe. But also for the vibe of the place. I say… don’t expect to be completely blown away by their bbq as it is something you’ve probably have tasted or tasted better elsewhere. We spent 25 bucks to feed us 6 so I say it was pretty good. That was with all half pound orders of their baby back, moist brisket, a pint of creamed corn, a small order of their boiled potatoes, two brisket sandwiches, and two small drinks. Serving was perfect for us. If your super carnivorous… don’t be a cheapo by ordering just half a pound of whatever meat you choose… order at least a pound because half a pound won’t get your carnivorous self anywhere. Lol. .

This was the first time that I went to Rudy’s. The food was absolutely wonderful, the smoked baked potato with meat was enough for two meals and the jalapeño sausage is the best sausage I’ve ever eaten. If you ever come to El Paso even if you are just driving through you have got to stop at Rudys.

Went out for dinner after our steak at home dinner plan went up in flames. My brother in law selected Rudy’s after we mentioned we wanted to try some good BBQ while visiting Texas. The ordering set up was a little weird. Once you were at a register placing your order, you were constantly having to play bob and weave with members of your own party and other parties ordering as people scrambled back and forth to collect sides from the cooler stationed near the line. It was confusing, but do able. The employees were nice and friendly, and they offered samples so you could sample before you ordered. Very nice. We ordered and collected our plastic soda tray of food and off we went. They gave us a loaf of sliced bread so we could make sandwuches, and there was a fixins bar to really go crazy at. The dining room was everything you could/would expect/want from an authentic Texas BBQ joint. The food was amazing. Our group got a little bit of everything, the ribs, the brisket, the pulled pork, the sausage. The sausage was hands down my favorite, but everything was amazing. So much flavor, so juicy, and the sauces at the table were also so good. I’ll be sure to go back to Rudy’s next time we are in Texas. Excellent BBQ.

This place never fails to serve great BBQ but my favorite is the loaded smoked potato. Cheap but oh so yummy. Even the lean brisket is still moist and melt in your mouth. Don forget to grab a peach cobbler. You won’t regret it!

I Unilocaled this place I was in the mood for some BBQ while I’m here in El Paseo, Texas I walk in this place is a gas station, store and a restaurant all in one how cool is that. There are all kinds of signs & licence plates all over and the seating is picnic tables. This place has plenty of parking too. We walk up and we are greeted by a friendly knowledgeable employee who ask have we been here before or is this our1st time. She let’s us know there are(No Combos) All meat I sold by the pound, and there are sandwiches which also(No Combos) Sodas & Beer sold in bottles & there are fountain drinks too. So I ordered(1) brisket sandwich,(1) pulled pork sandwich,(2) pork ribs ½ lbs of prime rib, potato salad & we got coleslaw for free since I made a mistake. The brisket was full of robust flavor & it was very tender you didn’t even need teeth to eat it the sad part was the sandwich was in a bun I thought was too big especially since it didn’t have enough meat in it I counted(5) slices only for the price you pay you would think it would be loaded but sadly it wasn’t. The pulled pork sandwich was also very tasty & full of flavor but again they are being a tad greedy with the meat I think they can do better but if not than use a smaller bun cause it’s more bread than meat seriously. The ribs were tender & delicious. now the prime rib was okay it had no flavor all I could taste was a smokey flavor it needed salt or something for $ 9.99 a pound you think its going to be great for the price but nope epic fail, and I think it was over cooked prime rib should be pink in the middle. FYI on Mondays the give 20% military discount &10% during the week.

Meh. Unilocal doesn’t usually fail me, but I was sorely disappointed with the reviews here vs what I actually got. Turkey was rubbery, dry and flavorless, brisket was dry, and pulled pork was … ok. As a visitor from California, I was SO excited to get some real Texas BBQ and was left underwhelmed. Everything was mediocre, and I’ve definitely had better BBQ in California. That being said it wasn’t TERRIBLE and I still ate everything… maybe I just had super high expectations for this place. Favorite part of the meal = rice crispie treat!

We were recommended here by a friend and was pleasantly pleased. Trying to figure out how to order when everything is sold by the half pound was interesting to say the least. In effort to not go overboard, the boys ordered sandwiches that had plenty of meat. The sausage was amazing, just the right amount of spice. We ended up using the sissy sause because the other was way too hot. The pulled pork was very moist and flavorful. Creamed corn was homemade and very good. Loved the Mexican sodas.
