Went to the food truck park a couple weeks ago not knowing what to expect. I ordered some tacos which I didn’t like at all. overpriced, tiny tacos and the carnitas weren’t fresh. Luckily I saw the Soup Truck across the way. The guy working it is extremely friendly. He offers samples of everything he sells. I ended up getting a cream of cilantro… So Good. After I finished eating it I bought a chicken tortilla and bake potato soups to go. All 3 were awesome. My only complaint is that I went again a week later and he was closed. I think it was a Saturday too. Which is the problem with food trucks I’ve found to be very unreliable.

I tasted chicken tortilla and baked potato soup… I loved them both! Just enough spice and delicious! I can’t wait to try other soups.

Hey, remember the Soup Nazi? He was unfriendly, unapproachable, unreasonable, didn’t have a truck, and is fictitious, ring a bell? Well, The Soup Truck is like the total opposite of that: they’re friendly, approachable, reasonable, a truck and exists!(yes, I know that there was eventually a real Soup Nazi, but they took the idea from the show). But the Soup Nazi and Soup Truck do have something very important in common: they’re both very dedicated and passionate about soup and thus make delicious soup. I never thought I would be kicking off my weekends doing soup shots, I’m getting old… but maybe soup is cool now, and maybe all the crazy kids are painting their hair purple and doing soup shots at The Soup Truck! Let’s go with me being super cool. But The Soup Truck doesn’t sell soup shots, oh no, like any good drug, the first one is free, and they’re very generous about giving up soup samples, and I’m very much pro-samples. I sampled the Chicken Tortilla, Green Chile Pozole, Toscana, and Baked Potato soups, all very good, but the Chicken Tortilla and Green Pozole were my favorite. I took home a cup of tortilla, which is served with a delicious scoop of cornbread meal that goes really well with the soup. So yeah, look out for The Soup Truck’s location on their facebook page and get yo’ soup on!
