Flanagan is great. Best Jameson server I’ve ever had. If you want a good time come see her at tavern on main.

I love this place! Awesome friendly atmosphere that’s great for both friends and family! They have delicious food! There’s even a vegan chicken substitute that my girlfriend got and was delicious! Great food! Beer! Atmosphere! I would recommend this establishment to all my friends!

A nice, quaint tavern that feels like home. There’s even an outside patio where people bring their dogs! I think what did it for me though is that they had a selection of vegan/vegetarian items on their menu. Rarely do I find a whole page of selections of vegan friendly dishes at a tavern that’s NOT fries. Kudos!

Was here last Friday for a coworker’s farewell happy hour – and it was a lot of fun! The drinks were amazing, as was the prompt service. Our group of 10 ordered a little of everything, from drinks to appetizers, and the Tavern didn’t disappoint.

Well, there was a bar fight at 4:30pm when I was there chilling with my beer. Plus points for entertainment, minus points for those guys causing a mess. A++ would come again! FYI — Irish Nachos were good, but extremely pricey considering the amount of food I got… didn’t think I even got 1 potatoes worth!

Generous drinks, good late night bites selection(and delicious spinach artichoke dip!) and friendly and prompt service! Shout out to Sean(Shawn?) and my cute petite blonde server(wish I caught her name) who were very sweet to me and kept me company when my friend arrived nearly an hour late. Added pluses in my book: in addition to the traditional bar, it’s got cozy booths for more intimate rendez-vous and large tables to accommodate big groups! Also, I liked the 80s/90s mix playing! I’ll definitely hit this place up again when ever I want a relaxed, friendly bar with late night bites!

The food was mediocre leaning towards bad. I had the Tavern Burger with a veggie patty, which was dry and had a nasty after taste. The burger itself was plain. Had no mayo, ketchup, nothing. Had to ask for sides of mayo and bbq sauce and it was still bland tasting. Onion rings were pretty gross. The iced tea was super watery. How do you mess up iced tea?!? The place was cool and the staff was nice, but I don’t think I’d come back for the food. My coworkers had an actual beef patty and they were also disappointed. I didn’t get them, but everyone that did said their fries were really good. So if you want a cold one and some fries this place will be just fine! Pros: + Fries + Big location, lots of TVs + Friendly staff Cons: — Too much ice in drinks(watery) — Veggie patty isn’t good — Onions rings were gross

One thing that is consistent about this place is the poor service. It is like clockwork EVERYTIME that I come in here. I come here to watch Dodger games since I don’t get them through my cable provider, I sit at the bar and then I wait… and wait… and wait until I have to flag someone down to get a beer. The bartenders walk by several times without any sort of acknowledgement until I initiate it. To be fair the bartenders and servers are nice when you do make contact with them but just to get that contact is another story. This is not a once or twice experience either. This literally happens EVERYTIME. Absolutely zero attentiveness. Aside from that the bar has a cool little layout. Lots of tv’s. Food is ok at best. Just come to have a few beers during uncrowded weeknights and it is typically a struggle just to get a cold one in my hands.

Straightforward, family-friendly bar to watch sports. Owner is a huge UCLA fan so that definitely helps. Aside from that, well, it’s on sleepy Main Street in El Segundo, which means it’s really a daytime place to hang out– at night it’s one of the only places open past 11pm– and the food and beer are both merely decent. But for a sleepy little place like El Segundo, it’s not too bad.

Love this place. I come here several times a week with my dog and always end up meeting cool folks. They have good beer on tap I always default to Racer 5 and their Philly Cheesesteak.

Last Friday I beat it to Tavern to catch the SC game, I enjoy watching the games here as it’s always a good vibe and if a particular game isn’t on one of the many TV’s they have no problems with a request. I was feeling super famished and jonsing for their hotdog, it’s called The Laker dog! I’ve had it a few time and it always delivers! Foot long bacon wrapped wonder with accommodating bun and it’s swimming in grilled bell peppers and onions, I pair it with a side of their perfectly cooked fries and a ESBC Mayberry IPA… MMMM! The evening was great with a victory and The Laker dog here at Tavern on Main made it even better!

Came here for some eats after visiting the El Segundo Brewing Co which is right across the street. Family friendly with lots of HDTV’s around the entire place, not a bad seat in the house. The Philly cheesesteak was good. Needed a shake of salt, but otherwise well prepared. Fries were seasoned well and crispy. Good selection of beers. I like how they support their local brewery(ESBC). All in all, a great place to grab some eats, beer, and watch a game.

Tavern On Main is a great spot to catch a bite to eat and a game. TV’s are everywhere in this local watering hole. The food is better than you would think average bar food is. I ordered a chili dog, my husband ordered the Philly Cheesesteak and our friend ordered a burger(I forgot the name of it). The food came out fairly quick and seasoned well. They have a wide selection of beer and spirits to wash it down. We picked the Oktoberfest. What a perfect match with a good meal. If you’re in El Segundo and are looking into catching a game, give Tavern on Main a shot.

Fab caprese salad, and the chevron dip was good as well. Nice neighborhood setting, if we are in the neighborhood we may stop to try more, but first visit doesn’t make the list.

Venturing out to a few local establishments(& still have many more to explore), the experience, food & drinks here stood out to us! I think we found our new place! Welcomed every time we come, excellent service, food/drinks and prices — that was also a huge plus for the quality! Local patrons are friendly & on top of the friendly wait staff, made us feel at home where we feel we fit in. It’s spacious on the inside, lots of flat screen TV’s showing most of the sporting events and it does get packed at times, so getting there early would be a good thing. I agree w/the other review(s), bathroom situation for the crowd that it draws is not sufficient — maybe that’ll change in near future. Parking also gets taken up quickly but honestly not a big deal unless you have to be right up to the door, your SOL — but really does not appear that way, everyone in this town is so darn respectful from observation. Love their Hefe draft beer & sangria’s tasted fresh & good, weren’t too strong(but will give you a kick if you drink more than one. I also love how it’s a family atmosphere(like next door’s Rock & Brews), young & old, couples, and people with doggies welcomed(outdoor entrance of course, peeking in now & then). Yup, we found our local watering hole! Not only a kickback bar, but also a restaurant that accommodates everyone & open late too!

I’m actually pretty fond of this place, particularly since they did pretty recent renovations over the past year to expand the bar around to the other side of the building. Makes the place feel a lot bigger and it a lot better to get a drink. And even though it’s the«neighborhood sports bar», it doesn’t feel divey. I’ve also always had really good service too. Great place to catch your favorite games and fights, but come early because it does get packed! There are LOTS of TVs so you’ll be able to catch your favorite team one at least one of them. Only downside is that there’s only 1 bathroom stall for each gender, and with the place getting really packed pretty frequently the bathroom wait can be annoying. Food menu here: Beer menu here(not a huge selection but pretty decent, I’ll usually get the Maui Coconut Porter): Some of me and my fiancé’s fave bites(consider sharing because these are all pretty big portioned): –Chicken spinach caprese wrap and the buffalo chicken wrap. These wraps are deceivingly huge and comes w/either fries, mac n cheese(my fave) or chopped fruits. –Tuna melt. Can’t go wrong with this. –Meatball marinara sandwich. This is a special they sometimes have that’s not on the menu. Pretty generous amounts of meatballs. –Mac n Cheese appetizer. They used to have pulled pork mac n cheese, not sure if it’s there with their new menu but that was definitely a fave! On certain occasions such as NYE(call in advance for seating or come early!), they’ll have a live band play near the entrance which is pretty awesome.

The boyfriend and I were looking for a chill place with a short wait for dinner last Friday night. After a string of «meh» experiences at other local restaurants, I really enjoyed the meal we had at Tavern on Main. Since we didn’t have a reservation, the hostess offered us immediate seating in the«lounge» area. I pictured something like a sunken area with couches and side tables, but it was just like a regular table with a shared booth on one side. So– definitely go for the lounge! The good: — The service. Our waiter was funny and made some great recommendations. The hostess was great and set expectations from the start about where they could squeeze us in. — The live music. It created a great atmosphere and it wasn’t so loud that we couldn’t hear each other talking. The not-so-good: — I had two glasses of wine with dinner(TGIF, right?) but neither one was very good. — My boyfriend’s steak was chewy/didn’t live up to expectations. Overall, it was a great experience. We’ll definitely be back!
