Gross, smelly. The kind of place you expect someone to put something in your drink, but the locals didn’t seem that motivated. Came here with a friend after having dinner down the street at Rossi’s. We thought it might have some Old West charm based on the exterior. We quickly left. It is a great place to go if you’re looking to be convinced that it is time to go home.

Simply, the EVI is what a good neighborhood bar should be. The bartenders are friendly, interesting and ready to strike up a conversation. The customers are friendly and open. So it’s easy to shoot the bull with whoever is sitting next to you. If you show up more than twice, the bartender knows your drink and the customers remember you and will come over and say«hi». And if you show up on Tuesday nite, Crystal WILL get you up on stage to sing karaōke. Take a chance, have some fun. What else are you going to do on a Tuesday nite? I work weekends, so I haven’t been there on a Saturday nite. But I hear the musics good. In all, a good«neighborhood» bar isn’t about«What» or «Where» it is. It’s about then people who go there and work there. —- And for the reviewer who didn’t like it. I think that says more about you, than the bartender.–

I’ll never go back! I’ve lived in Sonoma for 21⁄2 years. Been meaning to check out the El Verano Inn, so a friend and I(we frequent the nearby dog park) stopped in @ 7 p.m. on a Friday. There was one person sitting at the bar, so you’d think the bartender would be happy to see some new customers. On the contrary! She was an older woman with NO smile, and she was so rude and bitchy, we walked out. I can remember hearing«good» as we left. Apparently this establishment does not encourage new customers! That’s OK — we’ll stick with Rossi’s where the bartenders have smiles!

Recently, The EV Inn has brought on, hands down, the greatest bartender in history; Shelly. Good move on their part. She is witty; hilarious; great mixer; can plan events and parties for a bar like no other; and is a real, down-to-earth, genuine person. I truly believe she can increase revenue anywhere she goes, and make The EV Inn a «hotspot» for people. Yes Sonoma, she is that good. I’m sad to have lost her from my San Diego bar, but the sweet side, she is now in my hometown — still get to see her when I visit! Good move EV Inn, you won’t be disappointed with this move!

Great for live music and some fun! Historical building in the cute little otherwise sleepy town of El Verano in Sonoma Valley.

Best bar to find live, loud, local rock shows. Great historical building too.

Just a little hole in the wall. An old train station. The bar maids are nice and they keep the place clean. Saw a great local band«Squirrel Mountain». Its only as fun as the friends you are with. So bring good company:)
