Good food and lots of it! Servers remember you and regulars are always hanging around the counter giving it a nice old-fashioned feel. Kids welcome and its not stuffy or snooty.

This afternoon I visited the Sonoma Palms Grill just to see how it compared to the Petaluma Palms and I wasn’t disappointed. I ordered the Grilled Chicken Sandwich with avocado and cheddar cheese with Minestrone soup. My Uncle had the California Steak Sandwich, he said he would order it again. My Auntie said her’s was good. She ordered the Palm’s Omelette with Hash Brown. Service was good. But I don’t know her name, she was friendly.

PULLEDPORK!!! Definitely as get what you paid for. The burger was pretty good. Fairly big burger and fries are good as well. I didn’t finish my burger cause it was pretty big. I think what makes me rate this place a 5STARPLACE is that they would check in constantly waitress had EXCELLENTCUSTOMERSERVICE! before I even turned around she would have my refill and a smile. Not to mention she was pregnant and moved faster then most waitress I’ve seen. Stuff like that honestly makes a difference.

Mediocre at best. Servers are very pleasant and efficient but the food is not particularly good. And if you are in a party of several people they seem to have trouble getting the food to everyone while it’s still warm. Lunch does seem to be better than breakfast. Went for breakfast this morning with my wife and and another couple. Ordered one of their«specials«: a waffle with a side of eggs and two strips of bacon. Nothing very exotic. Waffle wasn’t even warm enough to melt the butter on it. Eggs were only luke warm and the bacon had most likely been cooked prior to my order. On Sunday mornings the place can get a bit crowded and I don’t think their kitchen is quite up to the task.

Clean restaurant, very friendly staff, excellent menu with a great selection of specialty items, they catered to my son’s allergies, the eggs Benny was superb, bigger second sizes, fresh ingredient, hot plates, excellent coffee that didn’t need sugar and just all over an excellent choice for breakfast. My only wish is this restaurant was in Amador County but then my butt might be even bigger. I highly recommend this restaurant for breakfast. Plus the seating is very open and not cramped. This place is ideal for a large group.

Stop by on a visit to wine country. The food was mediocre and the service was slow and abrasive. Cannot recommend.

I thoroughly enjoyed this place. I went with a good friend, so just two of us for dinner. Our Server was Jane and she was very warm, attentive and did a great job despite being pretty busy. She showed professionalism under pressure for sure. My only critique here is there were only two servers working and it was busy. I heard our server apologize a couple times for being busy(not her fault). Management should consider atleast 1 more person on a shift so the poor servers aren’t overwhelmed during a rush. The atmosphere is calm and not racous so we could have a nice conversation and hear eachother. We shared our dinners. We got the Onion rings to start and they were hearty, served hot and delicious. We ordered the Reuben with sweet potatoe fries and the Chicken Alfredo Pasta. Everything was prompt, hot(super important to me) and tasted great. All in all was a great experience! Thank you Jane, I will be back.

This place USED to be very good about 2 – 3 years ago! I loved it! The last couple times i’ve been here, i’ve had thee worst service. First, our waitress was super unattentive, and never once refilled our water/drinks. I had ordered a side of country potatoes(which are made on a skillet with onions and bellpeppers). but instead, i got a heaping plate of black burnt deep fried potatoes with no seasoning. I didn’t even eat them and when i sent the food back, i got a sour attitude from the waitress. Also, the last time i was there, i had ordered some pancakes and asked for some fruit on top, and i was told that they didn’t have any fruit(bananas, blueberries, strawberries, ect.) NOTHING. I was bummed, so i just got plain pancakes. about 30 minutes later, a large family of about 7 – 8 come in and are seated right next to us. When their food came out, i saw all the kids ordered pancakes WITH strawberries & bananas and whipcream on top. What a disappointment. I was so annoyed and from this, i will never return here to eat. The service is really sad. i’m not sure if it’s because the management and staff has all changed since, but this is place really SUCKS.

In the mood for a «road trip restaurant»??? You know what I’m talkin’ about! Look no further than The Palms! Basic tasty food in Sonoma in old fashioned atmosphere. Family restaurant, good burger, as expected tasty breakfasts. Easy. Sometimes you just want good and easy.

Let’s just state from the beginning that this is not one of Sonoma’s highest rated fru-fru places. What it is, is a regular family style restaurant. Sometimes, it is just good to order a hamburger, a salad, a sandwich or some soup. The food is simple and very tasty. If the place is not wildly busy, the staff takes it’s time to greet and schmooze as well as consistently keep your glass filled. The televisions are usually set to sporting events, but turned way down. Palm’s is a very good and inexpensive family restaurant. My family comes here regularly.

My dad lives in Sonoma and wanted to go to this place. He had been here before and likes the joint. The looks of the place is slightly better than a Denny’s. The food, however, was much better. It is essentially comfort food in the menu. My «palms» sandwich was very good. Fruit was fresh. Dads French dip was ‘good.” Wait staff was very very good. Thanks Micky!!! It was a great value.

Peppermill in disguise! Early dinners, big breakfast, leather booths like old vegas… I take my Uncle here when he visits from out-of-town. Easy burgers, easy breakfast served late. Free parking and on HWY12 and verano.

Dropped in here because they serve breakfast. It seems a bit dated and the clientele is a bit on the older side. Breakfast was very good, well prepared, reasonably priced, and served with a smile. Later the same day, after drinking too much wine and wanting something inexpensive and«non-gourmet» we thought about the menu for The Palms and it was exactly what we were looking for. Again a small crowd of elderly people but service was friendly and efficient. The manager stayed on top of everything. The food was good, huge portions and a good value. The locals need to give this place more business. It is worth the stop.

It has a great location between the intersection, but it surprises me that it took that long to capture their audience. I believe one of the reasons is because the food here is decent, since it’s not exceptional. The lunch specials are a bit overpriced and small. I wasn’t as hungry that day and day and the lunch special and I finished the entire half of a sandwich with a split pea soup. It’s almost $ 9(with tax I suppose). I’ve had the pasta here before, the salads, sandwiches and of course the burgers and they’re all okay with the exception that the breakfast is better. Nothing here has been able to capture my attention. But I do always come to this place to catch up with my family. So it’s a great location to bring the family, elders. Hence, a great family diner. It’s also by where you don’t have to drive anywhere far. The atmosphere is neutral, it’s not too loud even when they are playing the sports channel on. The couches are comfortable, the lighting okay. The service is okay. It’s not exceptional, nor is it poor. They do their refills, the tables walks but their not enthusiast about it.

Needed a late lunch spot and saw the sign — recognized the name from similar restaurant in Petaluma. Server was super friendly in a sincere way. She communicated my special order perfectly to the kitchen. I ordered the Sonoma Salad which includes plenty of fresh mixed greens, chopped fruit and candied nuts, and grilled chicken. Order delivered in good time. Iced tea refilled quickly and automatically. The bacon in the salad was delicious and meaty — makes me want to come back for breakfast. I think this is a good dependable upscale coffee shop and I will return.

Up front, three stars from me is not a bad review. It means it met my expectations but did not exceed them. Glen Ellen is a hard place to buy breakfast. We had read good things about the Garden Court Café but it was closed due to technical difficulties and Unilocal found us Palms Grill five miles away. I really cannot say anything especially positive or negative about it. Oh, I had a little problem with a server delivering coffee without even asking about sugar or cream but then I do not believe in downgrading an establishment because of one glitch in service. It was a good breakfast and the service complaint was minor. Now if you go for lunch or dinner and you would like beer just do not expect anything above Heineken. Not even Sierra Nevada. That would be a major bummer to me.

Palms Grill Sonoma, California 10am Saturday 10th May 2013 Four Stars This restaurant is the reason that I try new places. If you just look at the exterior, interior, and the menu, you might skip this place. I was pleasantly surprised. The restaurant was not busy but still relatively populated. The hostess was friendly. The waitress, Estela was perfect. She got our drink order of coffee($ 2 each). When she returned, she took our food order: Sunrise Fiesta Burrito minus Bacon(8.95) & Palms Huevos Rancheros(9.95) and a side of Hash Browns(3.50). The Burrito was a tortilla with melted cheese, scrambled eggs, and cilantro cut on the bias. It came with a red salsa, guacamole, sour cream and black beans and a side of hash browns. The Huevos Rancheros was amazing. They layered tortillas and cheese then topped with two Sunny Side Up eggs, Spicy Sauce, Red Salsa, Sour Cream, and avocado. I could barely stop eating but could barely finish the plate. The Hash brown were multiple layers of crispy potatoes. The food was huge, tasty, and very affordable.
