The staff was ultra friendly but I found the food bland and dry. The only redeeming factor were the coffee drinks and the kid-friendly atmosphere. My husband and I split the Cuban Pork Breakfast Burrito and the Crispy Chicken Confit Eggs Benedict. Let me tell you, the descriptions of these dishes is mouth-watering but the reality was really sub par. Now both dishes looked good, but they had surprisingly little flavor. The best part? The potatoes! Seriously, those were nice… which is funny because those are usually my least favorite part of breakfast. Food aside, the price was pretty outrageous. It was over $ 50 to feed two adults and one toddler. While the food held me over for the morning, I don’t know that I’d come back here even in a pinch.

Decent food, but a little pricey for what you get. It was good, just not amazing. It’s self-order at the counter as you walk in, which is almost a good idea, but hard to tip the wait staff before they do anything for you. They were actually very good — both the guys who brought us stuff and bussed our table were friendly and helpful. The metal tables gave off a cold feeling and didn’t help the sound quality — the place was rather busy so it ended up being louder than I expected. All in all an okay experience. But what’s with the upside-down mismatched silverware?

Went here for brunch with family and we all enjoyed the food. I ordered the cinnamon walnut french toast, which was amazing! The homestyle potatoes were also delicious with lots of flavor and spices. The overall service was great — quick, helpful, and friendly. The atmosphere is very welcoming with artwork on the walls and open space with lots of natural lighting. It was fairly loud with the coffee appliances running. Due to the acoustics of the building, noise traveled throughout the space, occasionally making it hard to hear. We sat inside; however, there is a nice outdoor patio that is probably lovely during the summer time or on a warm day.

Let me start off by telling you a riddle. What serves breakfast but you get dinner… give up? This place. . You walk up to the counter who was being run by sometime who should not be in hospitality business and order then you find a to sit. . We waited over an hour to get our food, they don’t come check on tables, there doesn’t seem to be any service done by staff at all… each plate of food is around $ 12…I guess I’m used to places that not only provide great service but phenomenal food… They are pet friendly… which means there is the chance you’ll sit next to someone’s dog. .don’t get me wrong, I love dogs. .I have one, but as I sat waiting for my food I watched the waiter protect a plate from someone’s poorly handled dog. .these guys get 2 stars only because once we finally got our food it was tasty..

I went here because of a good Unilocal review, but I was disappointed. I’m sure the food someone raved over was good but what I ordered was not. The bacon was burnt. There was no jam for my toast. Lastly, the potatoes had no flavor. I guess that is why they give you a container of ketchup.

What a wonderful way to start the day. The Corned Beef Hash is a big plateful of chunky deliciousness! They stick with simple basics: big chunks of tasty taters and tender, succulent corned beef topped with a couple of eggs and Hollandaise. Be forewarned that the Hollandaise is as GREEN as it is yummy. Girlfriend’s Coconut Milk & Flax Seed Pancakes are fluffy, light and flavorful. Ordered a side of the Benton’s Bacon… Holy Frijoles! This is what«adult» bacon tastes like: strongly(yet not overpowering) smoky, perfectly salty and fabulously fatty/juicy in the mouth. Have to come back here for more!

I’m so glad I found Community Café when I was recently in Sonoma for a weekend – great vibe and great breakfast. I needed to escape a wedding event and get some sustenance! This place was really funky(a good funk) on the inside: Artwork portraits of goats(high five!), veggies, and other items adorn the walls. The staff was pretty cool, many fedoras and tattoos were observed. Ok, the food? Such bittersweet food. On the one hand, the Cinnamon Walnut French Toast breakfast was f-bombing good; however, the Buttermilk Pancake Breakfast was poo-poo not good(I mean look at those tiny pancakes and runny eggs in my pic). What happened? I forgive you though, Community Café, because my dining companion could not finish the French toast and I got to help – it was fabulous. They mix butter with the maple syrup and that was creatively simple and delicious. The place was not that crowded and had lots of parking in the back. If you are in Sonoma or passing through the valley tasting wine, just stop in here ok?

One of those places where you can’t decide what to order because everything sounds so good! You walk up and order at a counter, are handed a number, then the food is delivered. The inside seating was completely packed, but we got a great table on the back patio, which we actually preferred. The portions are pretty large, they don’t sacrifice quality for quantity! I ended up ordering the coconut and flax pancakes which are gluten free and I got sausages and poached eggs on the side. It was all delicious! The best gluten free pancakes I’ve ever had! I’m not from the area, but if I visit again I will definitely return!

Stopped by here for a meal after a tiring and long drive from the city. I was hoping to like this place but unfortunately it was a disappointment. The quality and presentation of the food was not expected considering how overpriced it was. I ordered their sweet potato hash and was expecting the potato to be more cooked than it was; it was on the verge of being raw and tasted quite bland. The rest of the dish was a stir fry of spinach and mushroom which also tasted bland. My bf ordered their café egg breakfast that came with two over easy eggs, two sausages, and toast. It was a pretty basic combo and there was nothing really special about the dish. Bottom line, I would not recommend coming here unless you’re in a rush for time and do not care for food quality. PROS: –fast service –very spacious seating area CONS: –SOMANYFLIES!!! –overpriced

I really wanted to like this place! Came here this morning and paid $ 35 for a smoked salmon scramble and the pork hash. Salmon scramble: My boyfriend did not like the presentation, eggs were overcooked and hard. Potatoes had no seasoning. My hash had poached eggs which were also overcooked(completely hard yolks) and the pork was in huge chunks which had no flavor. The green sauce had no taste. It took a lot of hot sauce to make it edible. Sad. I love Sonoma and we never seem to eat a bad meal here– this was our first. :(

My mom surprised me by taking me here for breakfast. She doesn’t eat breakfast, but she knew I would like this place. I was completely shocked by how much I liked it. If I lived closer, I would go every weekend. I had the Truffled Eggs and Toast — amazing! The asparagus and the mushrooms were cooked so well and the fontina cheese didn’t make it overly cheesy. My mom had the Kale Breakfast Salad. That isn’t something I would pick for breakfast, but it’s delicious. I would definitely order that next time I go. That is, unless I get a hankering for a traditional egg breakfast, which is my usual fare. The coffee is self serve and they have all the fixins to go with it. Go with the dark roast for a full, rich cup of coffee. Thoroughly impressed with this place. I’ll be back!

We were in town for a weekend and found this café on Unilocal and decided to give it a try. The café is small, cute and cozy. You walk in and order, grab a number and then sit down. Once your order is ready, they bring the food to you. Everything looked so good on the menu, but I stuck with: — Truffle egg & toast: large piece of toast, topped with a truffle egg, cheese and served with asparagus and mushrooms. This was absolutely delicious and it’s a great size serving; I almost finished the whole meal. I was glad that I didn’t order any extra sides because I wouldn’t have been able to finish the meal. There is no modifications on this order and it does state that on the menu, but you wouldn’t need to change anything. We came on a Sunday around 10:30AM and it wasn’t overly packed, but the line did take a little long. There isn’t much customer service except for the person taking your order and then the person bringing it out. Great place for brunch, I would probably come back here when I’m in town again.

Enjoyable! Sister treated our big party of 9 to brunch and it was lovely. Our faves: the truffled eggs with mushrooms and asparagus(gooey cheesy deliciousness… although boo on just truffle oil with no truffle flakes!), and crazy house made maple butter syrup that the flaxseed pancakes and French toast are served with… the syrup, not the actual entrees… is glorious. It’s like 75% butter and 25% caramelized sugar; when you drizzle this over dry flaxseed pancakes… dang, the transformation is like«What Not to Wear» on TLC. Aunt bought a few containers of this crazy caramel crack to go. Everything else was just okay… the farro, the BLT, etc. Love the friendly quick service& push for organic ingredients. Interesting green, hipster vibe… I’d be back.

Love coming here. You can get breakfast all day. Mimosas are only $ 5 for one or $ 14 bottomless. Lattes and Mochas can be made with almond milk and the food is delish! Everyone is always so nice

Community Café is a hidden gem, serving generously portioned meals with local, fresh ingredients at reasonable prices. My friends and I like to meet up here for breakfast before hikes in the surrounding area. They also serve lunch but I have yet to try any of those items from that menu. Community Café is a casual spot frequented by locals. This is not a hip, trendy, fancy, tourist destination in Sonoma and that’s exactly what makes it so special. It’s a place for the community and actively works to give back to its community. Customers place their order at the counter, pick up their coffee/tea/water and silverware and then head for an empty table. Food is delivered to your table when it’s ready. The menu contains some standard breakfast items but also has some interesting dishes, such as the kale breakfast salad with eggs, the truffled eggs and toast(mushrooms, asparagus, cheese and eggs over a thick slab of locally made English muffin bread) and farro with dried fruit and nuts. Some items can be made vegan, vegetarian and/or gluten free. They also have homemade energy bars, which are quite delicious. I’ve tried the cinnamon walnut french toast full breakfast with eggs and chicken apple sausages and the Southwest sweet potato hash with eggs. Both were delicious, fresh and very filling. Everything arrived hot. You can see the staff hustling to cook and serve food quickly, as the kitchen is located behind the front counter. In addition, they are very patient when it comes to answering questions about the menu and offering suggestions. When in doubt ask them or the person in line next to you. It seems everyone is a regular there. When my friends and I visit we always try each others’ dishes and remark that we will order that item on our next visit. One of these days, I would love to order the kale breakfast salad when I don’t have to worry about fibering up before a long hike. There is a good-sized parking lot and an outdoor patio for dining. Staff and patrons are friendly. Ingredients are fresh and locally sourced.

After staying at an airbnb the owner suggested this place. I am a sucker for local recommendations and this place was definitely that. The building looks like something out of MadMen and when you walk inside you instantly feel like you are a local. We ordered coffee, two of the Breakfast BLT Sandwiches(one with bacon), Truffled Eggs and an order of coconut flax pancakes to share. The outdoor patio was lovely and nice to enjoy some coffee before our food came out. I had a bite of the truffled eggs and toast, that one bite was enough for me– so rich and tasty! definitely bring an appetite for that one! The aioli won me on the BLT as well as the potatoes but man, those coconut flax pancakes were de-li-cious! Can’t wait to go back! p. s. grab some of the raw energy bars on your way out, they are located near the counter and look like little muffins. We grabbed the peanut bunter, raspberry and blueberry. They were a perfect snack while driving to some vineyards afterwards.
