Super 8 Elgin

Once again, the only African-​American girl at the front desk, is always making our stay far from pleasant, she is rude, she changes prices for the same room, which we stay on 3 times a week, so I know the rate. She calls at 10:40AM every time we stay, it’s like she has us on her, get out now, list. I’m very unhappy, being a gold member, I have spent a lot of money at this hotel, and every single time she’s here, she is very rude. Every other employee is very nice, and knows what room we like to stay in, I will stop spending money on this hotel until this issue is resolved. Everyone knows us here, a knows we stay at least three times a week, so I would think she would show a little courtesy, instead of trying to kick us out as soon as possible.

Do yourself a favor and go next door to Holiday Inn… it’ll be worth the extra money. Bad customer service. The whole building had a weird musky smell. Our ‘non-​smoking’ room still smelled like cigarettes. The blankets were gross and the towels were thin and scratchy. There were ANTS on the bed and side table! Also, I found a really creepy spider/​beetle on my bag. The continental breakfast wasn’t anything special (they were out of waffle batter by 8:30am and the front receptionist didn’t look like she was gonna fill it anytime soon). It’s one of the cheapest motels around the area, but if you can afford it, I’d encourage you to go somewhere else!
