Cheddar’s Scratch Kitchen

I’ve ate here many times and the food is consistently good, and you always leave full and with your monies worth. I think this is one of the few casual dinning restaurants that I’m always guaranteed to have leftovers. The restaurant is always clean and I’ve never not had good service here. The best part about this particular Cheddar’s is the fact that it’s one of the few restaurants in Elizabethtown with a patio for outdoor dinning.

Excellent service, food was great, and they are decked out for Christmas!

Bad food, the TV was so loud you cannot talk so go alone. Waitress was friendly but a little clueless.

I frequented Cheddars a few times during my stay in Kentucky, and it was always a pleasant experience. I have had the Monte Cristo sandwich, some chipotle wrap item that was quite delicious, and of course their Chicken and Waffles. I always have to request an extra side of syrup but it has been remarkable every time.
The staff was nice, talkative and seemed to really enjoy their jobs. The waitresses spoke to my party for awhile and it was nice receiving the high quality kind of service that we did.
I’d go back there in a heartbeat.

Had the sheppards pie and it was great! Highly recommend it! The croissants are awesome too!

I have seen mixed reviews so I will add mine to the mix. A friend and I went on a Saturday night got seated with on 5 min our server was Randy (YO Randy) GREAT service refilled drinks before having to be asked to, I was with a friend I had not seen in a few years so he was great that we visited then ordered. Great recommendation for dinner choice (Honey BBQ ribs were great). Plan to go back a few times to try other items before I leave the area next month.

Poorly disappointed when my family and I went there on Friday. They wrote the wrong name down (how he got Mitchell from Michelle is beyond me). The waitress was ok, but the food took forever. My husband and son had the onion ring app, and then he ordered the chicken fried steak. It came out as the country fried steak. He reordered the tilapia and mango salsa and knce again was poorly disappointed. My son ordered the Spagana (sp) and it was AWFUL. The sauce was sweet, like sugar had been poured in it and the cheese was barely melted and congealed. I had the salmon and broccoli, but there were so many stalks in the broccoli it was like chewing wood. When asked if we can have my sons food removed from the bill, the manager didn’t even offer to replace the food or offer any apologizes for the nasty food. It’s hit or miss when you come here. Just be prepared

Food was ok. Only my wife found something like a hair extension or something as gross as that in her doggie bag when she went take her food to work the following day. We have been here several time and each time we are disappointed for one reason or another. We no longer patrons.

Had been craving a burger from here for years. Walked in to the casual area, waiting almost 15 minutes just for someone to make eye contact, or atleast tried too. Finally just asserted myself and greeted a waitress. Apprehensive of taking my table, she bought me a dirty menu, and by the time i got my drink, I was ready to order. Food took a long time for an app. Saw other people, who came after, get served before me. I didn’t even know who my waiter was til the check came lol. Of course. One person took my order and brought my app, one brought the burger, a poorly prepared, overcooked slop on a bun. Never was checked in on, not once til the food was gone. Ketchup and fixins would have been nice instead of making my own out my app leftovers. In short service was slacking to the point I almost did not want to tip.
Hope a manager reads this and tells these guys to get it together and quit smoking so much reefer. I get better service MCDs.

The worst place for seating. Many open tables yet they make you wait. Last time we come here.

Ate here with sister and brother in laws when we stopped in to visit. Cheese sticks for starter: nothing special.
Had burger– guess it was good since I ate it all. Service standard. Nothing special.

A place called cheddars and they serve velveeta as «queso»? Been here once and it was horrible service, and horrible food I could make WAY better at home. Thanks but no thanks. Also my friend took a picture of a cockroach floating in her queso. DEFINITELY not returning.

Cheddars is amazing.
Food is great, big portion for good prices. We always leave with left overs.
Staff is friendly.
The only thing I find is a pain in the a** is that you have to wait to get a table and it is very noisy in there.
Don’t go there Sunday at noon, its so packed and you will get a head ache from the noise. However the food is the bomb.

Food is good, but there is a drink limit. Not fun when you have a designated driver to help.

Cheddar is one of the better restaurants to go to in town. The service is ok but that is mostly because the place is always packed. The main thing here is that the food tastes great and you get huge portions for extremely cheap prices for something this good. I haven’t had a menu item that I didn’t like. Some of the things that are really good are the appetizers southwest spinach dip and the onion rings. These are must orders. I also really enjoy the new Orleans pasta, the chicken alfredo, chicken fingers, the burgers are delicious and the fish tacos are good. I would definitely recommend this for families or just going to eat at a nice casual sit down restaurant.

Cheddars is usually a slam dunk, but this time the service left much to be desired. Myself and two friends were seated at our table and received drinks and water fairly quickly. That’s when the service went down hill. After the water it was at least 15 minutes before we saw our server again. We had to ask the hostess to put in our appetizer order. Our server, who was wrapping up a ten top right next to us, walked passed us and took the order of a table seated after us. They’re food obviously came out first. Without checking on us after our food did arrive, we received our checks without even being asked about coffee or dessert. Did I mention that our server didn’t even bring our food or our processed checks?
Sorry Cheddars, you blew it this time.

Poor service. The queso was stone cold when it came out. Ordered the jalapeño burger. It was alright except for the eight inch black hair on my plate underneath my fries. Had to ask the waitress to fix the bill twice. We will never eat here again.

I really had a good time at this restaurant. I have friends at Fort Knox who talk about this place all the time, and eventually my curiosity led me to ask them to have us come here for dinner one night. This restaurant is nothing unique; I’m pretty sure that there are hundreds of places just like this across the country, but I appreciate the fact that an experience like this is available in E-​town. It’s your typical American food and a bar, plus one of my friends claims to meet girls here, so I guess it’s overall an interesting place.
I first ordered a triple treat sampler as an appetizer, and it came with beef, bean, and cheese nachos plus crispy chicken tenders and mozzarella cheese sticks. Those nachos were actually quite spicy with the jalapenos, and I couldn’t finish the whole thing because of how spicy they were. The main dish arrived quickly anyway, so it wasn’t a big deal.
The entrée was a half rack of hickory-​smoked baby back ribs with shrimp. The dish also came with some carrots and fried rice for some reason, even though they were not mentioned in the item description. Anyway, the dish was a treat for someone who had not tasted food quite like it in a while. I also had my friend get me a drink called the Long Island Iced Tea, and it was all right. I’m not too a big fan of alcoholic beverages, but this one wasn’t too bad. There doesn’t seem to be a whole lot on the restaurant as a whole to complain about. The guy serving us seemed friendly and got the job done. This location is probably worth visiting more than once.

Very poor and slow service. Food arrived both cold and also not as ordered. Steaks were seasoned to the point that even a1 wouldn’t cover the taste. Cramped booths and overcrowded tables paired with high costs for small amounts of poorly seasoned over peppered food led me to download Unilocal just to review. Wouldn’t recommend this location to anyone.

The food is the same, terrible, chain crap that is available in the area. Denny’s quality at inflated prices. The only plus is that you can sub a salad at low cost.
They overcharge for their drafts, as poured (which are underpoured and over carbonated), they have no happy hour, and expect no one will notice. Good luck with that.
Barf. Twice barf.
ETA (³⁄₁₆): SCRATCH KITCHEN name change? Are they kidding??? It’s the same old menu, same old Denny’s food, same old meh. Unless, of course, they mean a visit will leave you scratching… Plus, now it’s about 3 $ to substitute a basic side salad for any of their supposedly «from scratch» sides. Noise. Noise. Noise.
