We’re trying to enjoy the last few weeks of summer weather and welcoming in the beautiful early-Fall…so we’re visiting as many of our favorite parks as we can before the cold sets in. This is a great neighborhood park in a section of EGV that has many other surrounding parks and playgrounds in the area. There are 2 playgrounds here, one for the older kids(5+) and one for the younger(4 and below). There are also two tennis courts, and it is close to Rainbow Falls Water Park. At times, particularly on the swings in the older playground area, you can hear the music from Rainbow Falls. My daughter loves swinging and she can stay on those swings for a while once the music gets going at the water park! Standard equipment at both playgrounds: swings, bridges, tunnels, slides, variety of climbing and ladders. Ride-ons at the smaller playground. Both playgrounds situated on wood chips. Nicely maintained and kept clean by the EGV park district. Plenty of seating for parents with benches surrounding the perimeters of the playgrounds, along with picnic tables in between the two playgrounds, and just outside the tennis courts. We like to bring snacks to the park/playground and the tables make it easy for the kids to eat and drink. Trash and recycling bins around the park too. Pretty trees and lots of grassy area for the kids to run around. We drive to this park and there is street parking on Brantwood. It’s not a terribly high traffic street, so crossing over to the park is no issue. The smaller playground benefits from the shade of the trees, so the slides and equipment don’t get too hot in the sun. It can get busy here but there lots of room for all the kids to play, but we’ve also been here at times and had the park all to ourselves. Another one of the faves on our list.
