Diversity Barber Lounge

Diversity Barbers Lounge is a decent place to get a haircut! It’s not too rowdy, the barbers are friendly, respectful and professional. JM cut my son’s hair and did a fantastic job and the work that I observed from the other barbers was top notch as well. I almost didn’t want to oust a review to keep this place a secret but I have to give this place credit for a job well done!!!

KC did a great job cutting my sons hair. His customer service is excellent and he’s very professional! I recommend going to this shop and KC!

This must be the worst barbershop in California. I would usually go to my barber at Good Hands Barbershop in downtown Sacramento but I was out in Elk Grove. Took my Lil nephew to get a simple haircut. There was already 2 ppls waiting, so we took a seat. 2 hrs later and still no cut. They kept having ppl walk in and getting a cut b4 us. I don’t mind waiting but someone should have let us know. All their barbers took forever to cut the ppl in their chair. I would not recommend going here unless u want to seat around. I would never go back to this place. I will report this to BBB.

New place I came to, first timer. Javier was my barber and he took good care of me. Gave me the exact hair cut I wanted (medium to low fade, with the sides bald faded) never had it lined up the way he did it, looked really dope. Definitely a talented barber, most certainly will be coming back to him.

I have been going to diversity babr shop for at least 6 months good quality service friendly environment and my barber javier always take great care when cutting my hair and always does a great job

Came in for the first time at this shop. It was really chill and cool environment. All the barbers were chill. I get cut by jmthebaber. Sickest baber out there.

Save yourself! My husband spoke highly of this place when it was called «D1» a couple years back. He wanted to go there for a specific barber but to our surprise the name was changed to diversity barber Lounge and the barber moved back to Florida or something. Soooo boo! But my husband decided to still get serviced. It was my birthday so he just wanted to get his facial hair lined and tidy up for me… Hmmm… I didn’t make a big deal about how horrible and botched the job was because I didn’t wanna irritate him. (I usually am the 1 to clean up so I played the whole «why you didn’t have me do it guilt card at first»)
So any way. The barbers name is Andre… I don’t know if my husband happened to sneeze during the cut or what. Nothing was lined at all and his face was all cut up. I’m upset he isn’t upset! It’s just all bad. Had my husband been my child I woulda been that heated mother going in. If you go to this place, try to NOT request Andre. AND CLEAN AND/​or REPLACE YOUR SHITTY LINERS!!!

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. Tried this place because my current barber was out of town. When I showed up about 10:30am the guy told me that he had just came in and nobody was here. Okay so you guys have a faulty business that doesn’t know how to open on time? he asked me to wait 10 mins because he was still cleaning his equipment and by the time he would have been done another barber was going to be coming in. Well 20 mins later dude gave me no update so I left. There are PLENTY of skilled barber in the Sacramento/​Elk grove area. That was unprofessional for him to feel like he needs to act that way. I have an such a easy haircut he didn’t even ask me what I needed or if I Was here for someone. The cold part is I called him on the phone and he gave me specific directions on how find the shop because I didn’t see it. You need to be considerate of other peoples time especially if they are your clients/​future clients. That was hella rude. He could have easily said you know, Hey I just opened by myself its probably going to be a few mins. I would have understood but he wanted to act like he didn’t care so forget it !!! I went down the street to another barber and they cut hair sooo good !!! I was instantly greeted and was next. I will never return to this shop. The barbershop down the street will take waaay better care of you! oh this was the light skin guy that has the chair in the back.

My boy Chris Pak is sharp, clean, and chill barber. I’ve been going to him for the past couple of months and never a disappointment! He’s good at what he does, if you have any flaws about your cut, he’ll get it without you even asking. His customer service is good, professional, and presents a good vibe. I recommend going to him for any type of haircuts!

I came here to just check them out 6 months ago and have been going here faithfully since then. Kevin cuts my hair and my son’s and he is good at his job and very patient with kids especially toddlers. Nate, Torrance, and Janine all cut very well. There customer service is very good with all clients as well as walk ins. The overall atmosphere and environment of the shop is family friendly and relaxed not having to worry about explicit music or conversations not suitable for kids. I’ve been to other barbershops in elk grove and honest opinion diversity is an elite shop

I wish I could Give it zero stars!!! We’ve made an appointment with Chris last week. We showed up and waited. We were never knowledged. After waiting 45 minutes, I asked him about our appointment. He pulls out a wrinkle piece of paper that was crumbled. Looked at it and said oh I thought your appointment was next week. Offered no apology. Too many good barbers in elk Grove for him to behave that way. Unprofessional! That barbershop had a horrible rep before the name change. Guess it will keep one.

Diversity is my spot to go and get my cuts at! Always keeping it real and jeeping it fresh. Nate is a master with his craft. The new management took this shop to new levels! Down to earth barbers and enjoyable setting! Highly recommend!
