This location has changed ownership and is now listed under Rescate Coffee. It is still open for business under the new name. Rescate Coffee roasts onsite and is the only Elk Grove Coffee location to do so. Go check it out!

Stopped by here after a work appointment to check it out. I was starving but wanted to go to a coffee spot instead of a lunch spot. Friendly staff and pleasant environment. Had a jalapeño bagel and white mocha frappé with almond milk. The frappé had the perfect sweetness. Definitely coming back here whenever I’m in the area.

These guys are so nice in here! I wanted a custom latte — they were happy to make that for me — was delish! Everyone went out of their way to make conversation with me and just pleasant atmosphere in general.

I’m from out of town and really needed a coffee to get me through today after driving 14 hours yesterday and had a load of homework to accomplish this afternoon. I looked on Unilocal for something local and non-Starbucks related coffee shops. Grace Coffee Roasters popped up and it was conveniently located next to my hotel! I wandered in and was greeted by two lovely ladies who were very helpful with coffee recommendations. I decided between the Tuxedo and the Pumpkin Pie White Mocha. I settled on the PPWM per the baristas suggestion. I wandered around for a few moments and noticed pictures of some locals, games available for in store use, several different table and chair choices for your seating pleasure(soft comfy chairs, a normal chair and table set up, and a larger table with benches for a group), local art was for sale and displayed throughout the establishment, a board with local event listings, and an island featuring honey, stevia, Splenda, etc. The décor reminded me of a relaxing office or hip lounge. I really enjoyed the color scheme. Once my order was up, the gal who made it walked it over to meet me with a smile. Since I had noticed a copy of Max Lucado’s book called Grace, I was curious if the shop was faith based. Turned out the owner, Gary, was sitting right behind me and I was able to chat with him a few moments. Turned out a customer had given the book to the shop and they featured it, as it fit with the name! The meaning behind the location’s name is after Gary’s daughter, Grace. I absolutely love that the name of the store had significance, and a huge perk is that all their coffee is roasted fresh and in house! If you enjoy coffee on any occasion, this is an absolute must!!! Forget major chains– this local spot is fast, friendly, and very tasty! They have a variety of milks from regular to nonfat, almond, and soy. I had my PPWM with almond milk, no whipped cream and it was literally the best latte I have had yet! If time permits, I’ll be stopping by again tomorrow before heading back home. And if ever in the area again, this will be my first stop! Please do yourself a favor and check it out, you will not regret it!

Love the fact there is a local coffee place. The place is very nicely decorated — simple and sleek. Very clean and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Stopped by on our day off to get our wake up and a little breakfast after dropping off the kids off at school. When you walk in you are greeted by smiling and happy staff. They are very kind and helpful. Coffee is great(usually just order the plain coffee). Hubby loves their coffee as well. Does not taste burnt at all. Coffee is very flavorful and smooth. Not too many places like this are found in Elk Grove. So happy they are here and love the fact they have extended their hours. Now I have someplace to go for afternoon coffee fix :)

Tried this place again the other day and even though the same barista was making coffee, it was like a totally different person had. The coffee was very different, very good, and I am pleased. If I had to make one suggestion for this Grace location, it would be to slow down a bit. Quality over quantity, Yes, you service people in a hurry to get off to work but I tell ya, I’d rather have a good cup of coffee any day if it means just two minutes longer of a wait.

I’ve seen the. Smaller location on the other side of EG but never knew they had an actual Little shop! Love the coffee doesn’t taste like the icky Starbucks taste and prices are reasonable, second time here and service has been good both times!

Really like the location and the ambience. Nice place to study even though the outlets are limited so either get here early or bring your laptop fully charged! Service is really friendly, and their condiment stand is really neat and had a good supply of powders and creams! I get their iced chai latte with soy milk and I always ask for extra powder because I like it better that way.

I don’t know why it took me a few months to write a review here but today was the day I decided to do it. 5 stars ~ I can say that I’m addicted to this place now. I’m here at least 4 – 5 times in a week. Not only me but the hubby is also addicted to this place. We order our«usual» tall white mocha light ice 2% milk white mocha. I get the ice the hubby orders the hot with whip cream. $ 1.00 discount on Unilocal check in. Yup I have about 20 check –ins now to date which translates to $ 20.00 bucks of saving. Dam can’t go wrong with that at all. Beside the Unilocal user perk you can now get your Polaroid pic and get a «Free tumbler» for the regulars. Today it happens that they ran out of film so that’s another reason to come back on another day. I also started buying their grind coffee grounds to take home and enjoy Grace coffee when I can’t drive her. The location is perfect for me. It’s down the street from my parents house and the I5 freeway. Taste~ I don’t know but I’m a big coffee junkie and for some reason I just love their white mocha. I mean I still would drink Starbucks but it can’t compare the taste. Maybe it’s the soy milk, powder white mocha versus liquid or the balance the espresso they use. Lastly it’s a local owned coffee beans. Can’t never feel any guilt with that, I’m supporting my caffeine addiction and helping the local economy~ no brainer 5 stars hands down

Absolutely love Grace! This is my favorite spot in Elk Grove for coffee, I just wish they weren’t so out of the way. The staff are always super friendly, and the coffee delicious. They will make any drink, any way you want it. I’m a huge blended coffee fa, so their Snickers, White Chocolate and Andes Mint are my favorites! Please put a location by Sheldon and Bruceville! There aren’t any coffee places in that area and it’s a heavy commute point. Plus then I could feed my addiciton daily!

This is convenient local spot in Elk Grove. A visit here, and you can tell great care has been taken in the craftsmanship and layout. It seems well organized and well tended. Coffee is my hobby. I tend to favour lighter roasts with fruity tones. Ethiopia Kochere and Tanzania Peaberry are among my top picks for beans. Atmosphere: Clean. The atmosphere is great if you’re looking for something like a Starbucks. However, don’t expect eclectic. It’s not. Service: Fantastic. When I’ve been here, it’s not been very busy but the staff is friendly and attentive. Coffee: First let’s create a scale. I consider Starbucks to be the baseline of ‘institutionalized coffee’. For the purpose of metaphor, Starbucks is like coffee purgatory. If you’re from the Bay Area, Sightglass is coffee Valhalla. In Sacramento, Tupelo. In Kalamazoo, Water Street. I’m a basic coffee kind of guy. No cream. No sugar. Just coffee. If the coffee isn’t worth drinking plain then it’s not worth drinking. And now the data… When I visited Grace Coffee Roasters, I ordered a sample of their breakfast blend and a double shot of espresso. To my palette, the Breakfast Blend was pretty flat. No nutty after-tones, and no notes of fruit. For the sake of this review, the only thing worth mentioning about the espresso is that the crema sufficiently scorched. It was difficult to tell if the bitter flavor was from the roast or from improper barista practice. Conclusion: Grace Coffee Roasters is somewhere above a Starbucks, but well below a Sightglass or Tupelo. It’s convenient and local, but could really benefit from hiring a taster, more experienced baristas with a true passion for good coffee and and more eclectic interior designer. TL;DR: Visit Grace Coffee Roasters. It’s a great place to come for just an average joe, but there are no magical rainbow unicorns here. I probably won’t be back.

Nice alternative to Starbucks. Small n cozy. The cashier was very informative and upon her recommendation, we got almond Joy mocha n Smores mocha(hot). Almond Joy Mocha was OK… kinda bland. The Smores Mocha was delicious… very chocolaty :) Sure will be coming back to relax n try other drinks.

Got their version of a Frappuccino and it was really quite good; a bit on the too-sweet side but they used Soymilk for me which was great(lactose-intolerant here). Very tiny but enough seating and a nice double picnic table as well where we sat. Their selection of food(aka tiny baked goods and pastries) is a bit on the sadder side but it’s a coffee shop so what did you expect? They had no music when I was there and you could have heard a mouse fart– that’s why I took off the star… I’d rather have some nice background noise while there studying or even talking to people so it’s not awkwardly loud. Felt like a library.

I just had the best caramel macchiato ever(and I’ve had quite a few)! It wasn’t drenched in caramel syrup, nor was it overly sweet. It had the right amount of caramel flavoring(without the nasty after taste that usually follows from artificial flavoring). Unlike Starbucks or Peet’s, their menu is short and fairly simple. They offer seasonal specials like a Raspberry Mocha Capp for Valentine’s. Their coffee beans are fresh and you can really taste the difference. Their customer service was also outstanding! The shop is bright and furnished with large couches, tables, and chairs which make for a good place to lounge in or work from. They are pet friendly(although no outdoor seating). Dog treats are provided for free in addition to gourmet treats that can be purchased. A great coffee shop overall! They even donate 10% of their profit to charity.

Like most of the reviews already say– warm, welcoming staff and cozy and home like environment. Definitely a good environment to chat with a friend or to get away from home and work on homework. Staff was friendly and informative on their products and showed quick service. Decided to get a medium raspberry mocha frappé which was around $ 4, eh average frappé price. The taste is exactly what I sounds like but compared to Starbucks, The Nugget, Dutch Bros, etc. the consistency is more like a milkshake. I like my frappes to be a little bit lighter with consistency and if I wanted a milkshake, I would get a milkshake not a frappé. Will probably go back to try other drinks

Might be the cutest coffee spot I’ve been in. This a local business that, first and foremost, does an amazing job with customer service. I’m from Southern California and I was pleasantly surprised at the time employees and manager took to ask about my day. As a Starbucks addict I was hesitant, but upon waking in, I smelled the roasting of coffee beans(yes fresh roasted coffee beans, you read correctly). They have pretty much everything Starbucks, Coffee Bean, or Peets has, and if they don’t you can specialize your own drink. The manager was extremely nice, passing out samples of pumpkin bread and checking up on tables himself. I tried the chai latte, which was perfectly sweetened and delicious. Also tried a cup of the Americano, and it was perfect. The interior décor is cozy, inviting, and comfy. Will def be back when I’m in the area! Great experience.

OHMYGOD!!! K… to start my mom’s name is Grace and considering my parents just moved away from me for the first time in my life… this was an AWESOME place to go for coffee! The staff was very friendly. They had outdoor seating, and awesome comfy chairs, as well as benches for bigger parties and single stools. They have a ton of games and a great ambience for«chillin» if you want to grab a coffee and relax for a bit. Swing by and see what I mean! This place is great!

I am always a fan of trying out local spots so I was happy to finally drop by Grace Coffee Roasters before going to class earlier tonight. Now let me just point out, I’m not a black coffee drinker, so I can’t tell the difference between types of coffee beans. I really wanted to get an iced tea with a flavored syrup, but I knew that wouldn’t be a fair choice to review this place upon. Their menu is pretty basic: coffee, mocha, white mocha, cappuccino, macchiato, and so on. They also have italian soda, iced tea, frappes, and lemonade. You can add a shot or flavor shot for 50 cents, or soy milk/almond milk for 50 cents. Hot drinks come in 3 sizes, and iced drinks come in 2 sizes. Since I’m not a huge coffee drinker, I went with a regular iced soy chai latte. They don’t fill it with a ton of ice — definite plus! The drink had good flavor, although a few of the first sips did have some chunks of powder. My favorite parts of this coffee shop — the cozy atmosphere! There are nice couches, and tables and benches. It would be a nice place to study because it isn’t crowded inside, like all of the Starbucks around town. My second favorite part — all of the pastries! They have a large selection of scones, bread loaves, cupcakes, and croissants. I also noticed their food menu(served all-day) consisting of paninis, salad, oatmeal, and breakfast croissants! If I’m in the area, I will come by here for another chai latte, or a flavored iced tea. However I may stick to my regular coffee shops for more extensive menu options!
