Jacquelyn’s Salon of Elk Grove

I am new to the Sacramento area and was in need of a salon to do hair and make up for my bridal party. Lori was the first person I spoke with and she helped me to coordinate my big day. I had a huge bridal party with 12 girls getting hair done and 10 getting make up done. Lori, Kat, Kayla and Jacquelyn (the owner) where all there by 5:30am to set up. They had made a little snack table and brought us juice and water. They did back to back hair and make up appointments from 6:00am to 1:30PM! The results were stunning! I recommend this salon to anyone. The ladies are all very talented, kind, and they listen to what you want! I was picky with how I wanted bridal my hair and make up to look. My husband actually found this Salon for me. I had been looking for a new place to go and kept putting it off and putting it off. I finally relented an made an appointment with Jackie and was so happy that I did. The salon is so cute, bright, airy and clean. Even has a cute boutique atmosphere where of course I purchased a beautiful scarf.
On my first visit, Jackie spent over an hour with me, trying on toppers and giving me recommendations as to my hair. I made a follow-​up appointment with Lori and all I can say is WOW. She is fantastic. Not only does she have a «hoot» of a personality, she gave me a great permanent that turned out better than I could imagine. I just love the results. I did not feel like I was being rushed or shuttled around as I have felt in some salons. Lori gave me great one-​on-​one service, took her time, and the results were perfect. I would not hesitate to return and in fact, I plan to visit Lori when a trim or anything else is needed.
Thank you Lori and Jackie for taking the time and treating me as someone special.

This place is just so cute and clean. I come here for waxing with Kat who is amazing. She’s so easy to get along with, I’m very particular with the heat of my wax and she sticks it through every time. I just had a mess up with a groupon I purchased somewhere else and I got an appointment for her to fix on Friday which makes me so happy because she’s always booked!

Found this place on Groupon, my go-​to when I’m trying to find new places after a move. This particular Groupon was for a Brazilian wax with Kat.
I called to make the appointment and it was easy to get in. Great, since some Groupons make you wait months (I learned the hard way). She offered a reminder contact via text, which I took and got. On the day of my appointment, Kat was super friendly and my appointment quick and easy. She’s very clean, wore gloves and used a new stick (which should always be the case) to apply the hard wax each time.
Will definitely come back.

I love Jackie. She’s a very nice woman with a heart of gold. I went to Jackie immediately after my hairdresser butchered my hair & it was way to short I hated it — hated is not nearly a strong enough word. went to see what kind of hair extensions Jackie had and was blown away by the variety and customer service. Jackie hooked me up and not only did I have hair, but I was rockin a new style. :) I have since gone back and with each experience it gets better. Jackie goes above and beyond to make sure her clients are happy. The fact that she is a hairdresser and friend to breast cancer patients speaks volumes. What’s not to love? I’ll be back — again.

I started coming to Koulay from a Groupon I purchased and have been back three times now. She’s very receptive to what I’m looking for and she never disappoints. I also love the atmosphere here and highly recommend to anyone looking for some pampering in the Elk Grove and surrounding communities. Five stars all the way.

went here for a perm, took a very long time and walked away wit some straight hair that I went in there with and some wavy, I told them I wanted very curly hair and I was told they could do it. They put curlers in then left the solution in for 16 minutes. I paid $ 120 for some waves pretty much. Very disappointed.
However, the workers were friendly, and great conversation, the place was big and looked amazing, and I love the fact that you have to ring the door bell to get in for security.
Nevertheless when I tried to call back to inform the stylist that did my hair and see what she could do about it, Jackie answered and told me that the stylist would call me back in an hour, three hours later I called again because no one ever called, and they were closed. Not very nice and I would have appreciated for them to fix it.

The salon has great ambience. Unlike most salons around here, its comfortable and relaxed. I came in with for an appointment to get a Brazilian wax by Kat using a Groupon. Her schedule was booked up for 4 days. She did a great job and was very friendly, personable and honest about what (pain) to expect. I’ll be back again and will recommend it to my friends for sure.

«Hair is everything.» I never understood that concept until my hair stylist explained it to me. Your appearance shapes people’s perception of you. And it really does start with your hair!
I love this cute salon! It’s a lot bigger than it appears to be from the outside. On one side is the hair salon, while on the other is the nail salon. The front of the store houses a lot of cute beauty products and accessories. I was told the owner even donates a portion of proceeds to a different charity every month. Well, they definitely have my vote!
I’ve never colored my hair before, so trusting a stylist to do something so permanent was a huge step for me. It took me 4 hours but boy am I in love with my hair! My hairstylist explained each process to me and really took the time to make sure I was comfortable. She makes sure to preserve the integrity of your hair as much as possible, and thoroughly explains how you can maintain your hair afterwards. And she used nothing but the best products on my hair when styling it at the end and explained what they were for and where I could get them if I so wanted. They even have coffee and biscotti while you’re waiting. The end product of my hair was almost exactly like the picture I showed her! The fact that she can match the color from a tiny cellphone picture really reflects her skills.
Overall, don’t be deceived my the appearance of the tiny salon from the outside. It’s really quite a hidden gem in the area!

Great vibe here! All the hairdressers were laughing and joking around. My hairdresser was excellent, fast & fun to talk to. The shop is very clean and nicely decorated too

Purchased a Groupon for Pedicure, called the number on the Groupon instructions twice left message, still no return phone call. Went to the company website called «Lena» for pedicure was told «I don’t do Groupon» you will need to call my co-​worker, received co-worker’s voice mail. Good Luck making an appointment with this place!!! I can’t rate their pedicure service, but so far their first impression is not good.

First time here for a trim and highlight with Hannah, recommended by the niece.
Now I am always nervous to have a new person work on my hair, but because of the amazing job she did on my niece, I figured what the hell if it’s horrible I can dye it black.
Hannah was really cool and had hair smarts. I told her what I wanted to do and she gave me some suggestions and advice. Hair came out better than expected and now I will definitely be back soon for a touch up and trim.
