I have been coming here for years now. My daughters would get their haircut by Kim and Natalie, and I usually come here for pedicure. Even though my teen girls are happy with their haircut, I don’t come here for haircut or color because I have a stylist that I have been going to for 10 years, so I stick with him. However, the other day I just had the urge to get my hair cut and really didn’t feel like waiting for 2 weeks to get on my stylist’s calendar, so I just called and asked Kim to cut it. Well, I must say she did a GREAT job. She only charges $ 16 for haircut (tip extra) vs. what I usually pay which is $ 45, and I got so many compliments on my haircut this time. I’ll definitely return.
As far as pedicure, I come here instead of other nail salons because they have the best and the most amazing massage chair. I also like how Natalie or Diane always puts a protective coat on before they put the color coat on twice, and then another protective coat. The color usually lasts a long time.
Overall, I really think it’s a great local hair salon, nothing fancy but great service. We are very happy with Kimberly, Natalie and Diane. We’ll keep coming back.

TK Salon is nothing fancy, but I don’t need fancy. What I need is a good haircut that won’t cost me an arm and a leg. I was recommended by a friend to see Natalie and I am so happy because now I don’t have to drive to downtown Sacramento, where I used to get my hair done. I save gas money and the haircut is half the price! Shut up! :) Yes, my haircut costs me $ 16. I always leave happy.
The salon is located in a small shopping center off of Laguna, near Papa Murphy’s, Goodwill, and Baskin Robbins/Togo’s. Parking can be tricky during the lunch hour sometimes, but there’s always parking available.
Service: Natalie is really personable and listens to everything you ask. Recently, I wanted to try something new instead of a regular trim for my layers. I asked her opinion about whether or not I should get bangs and she encouraged me to do so. I love them and I’m not so worried about styling them because she taught me some tricks of the trade! Woohoo. You know how oftentimes when your hair is cut and styled at the salon, it’s hard to replicate it at home? Nope, easy peasy now because she showed me what to do.
As mentioned before, the salon isn’t anything fancy, but it’s clean and everyone there is friendly. I think the magazine on hairstyles could be updated — thought they’re quite hilarious to look at while waiting (which has never been more than 5 minutes if I don’t make an appointment ahead of time). I haven’t tried any other salon services other than a haircut and trim, but I would trust Natalie to do anything if I wanted to change things up a bit. As my friends would put it, «A+.»

Not sure why this place receives a four star. Go next door for hair cut, you will receive better service.

I decided to give this place a try on Sunday afternoon as I was looking for a new place to try. The girl who did my nails was nice enough but I have a few complaints. They don’t have a lot of options when it comes to gel nail polish. The girl just did one coat of the polish on my nails and it is already chipped on the second day. My hand smelled like alcohol and she used it on me right after she had cut some cuticles and it burned. I am not going there again to get my nails done.

Pleasantly surprised that I am the first review on here, I have been going to this same salon for over 10 years now. So there may be a little biased nature in this review as I have gone to this business since before they were located in Elk Grove. Consistency is the key. Of course I am unsure how woman’s hair cuts or nails or tanning goes. But for a fade haircut this place has always worked for me. When my hair was long or short or whatever I was trying I never had any issue with any of the stylists. Go ahead and try them out, one of the few places I won’t stray from.
