Panda Express

First time trying the new location in Elk Grove and I should have just went to the one by Raleys.
The food was awful, the Walnut Shrimp were ice cold and the Bijieng Beef was so chewy I couldn’t eat it.
I know Panda is by no means high end food, but I at least have the expectation of being satisfied when I visit. Satisfaction doesn’t have to mean perfection. But this is just pure laziness. It’s either management who doesn’t allow them to throw out old food or these workers just don’t care.
Either way, avoid this location and drive the extra 5 minutes to the one on Elk Grove Blvd & Franklin.
Complete and utter disappointment.

This Location is usually my personal favorite because of their awesome customer service and fair portions unlike most other locations.
The only reason that I take one star off is because of an issue I witnessed today. The chicken potstickers where in the same serving tray as fried shrimp! I had someone in my party with a serious shellfish allergy and I know many others do as well so tHis is very dangerous. We brought it up to our cashier and he apologized and offered to make some fresh and separate them in the future. That was very professional and I am glad, but who knows if someone in the drive thu unknowingly ordered some and had a reaction from it being contaminated with seafood and could have a fatal result?! As we were leaving we noticed they indeed added a divider in the tray but they probably should not even have them that clOse with such a serious risk. Once they have touched, the damage cannot be undone. I will return in the near future and hopefully not have to worry

This is usually my go-​to Starbucks because they have the option to dine in as well as drive thru. It is the closest location to my home and it’s relatively new, opening this year, 2015. I have had continuous positive experiences here. The restaurant is always clean and tidy, never a dirty table left unattended. The food trays are always fully stocked and the staff is attentive and helpful, offering samples. The drive thru is also relatively quick and my order has always been filled correctly without any problems. I appreciate the friendly attitudes of the employees. I would 100% recommend this location to anyone looking for fast, friendly service, good value for the price, and fresh food items. I will be back here in the future for sure.

Now that this location opened, I am pretty much surrounded by Pandas!!! But this Panda is different. It is special. It has a drive thru that allows it to stay open even later than its brother restaurants!
Been here many times, both walk in and drive thru. When walking in, I always get greeted by the staffs. Even if one is taking a break and eating, they’ll spot you walking in and will stop munching to say «Welcome to Panda!»
I do like the furnishing here. Tall chairs with cute round and square table tops. I’m usually always on the go so I never had the chance to actually sit down and eat there. I love that Pandas now offer brown rice as a side. My favorite combo is half brown rice and half steamed veggies to go with my entrees.
I know it’s so cliché but the orange chicken is always so addicting. I am starting to favor their Beijing beef though. I feel a little bad about the small Chinese restaurant in the same plaza. It is going to have a tough competition going on with Panda.

Ordered online and when I went in to get the food (50 minutes later and five minutes after it was supposed to be ready) and they told me that I needed to wait they were cooking one of my sides. While I was waiting (and wasting my time) I saw an employee touch the chow mien with his bares hands, then touch his face, and then start making rice without washing his hands. So not only is the service terrible but there were two health code violations in plain view of the counter. I would hate to imagine what other nasty habits the employees have while on the clock.

Can’t really say I will be coming back to this location. There’s a drive-​thru which I haven’t tried yet. I used to be a part of the panda family, hence ex-​employee and I was just a little disappointed by the quality I had received. The chicken was still a little pink and the veggie was just too dry.
Hopefully, if I ever get hungry, I will try to make a trip to this location again to update my review, but for now I am very sad to give a three star.

This is my favorite Panda Express location now! Maybe because it has a drive-​thru and it’s so close to my house, but it’s a winner.
This location is very clean. Maybe because it’s a newer location, but I appreciate their high level of cleanliness. All the tables looked spotless, there were no sticky floors to walk on and their food station was kept clean too!
The menu is pretty easy to go through and you still get to sample the food before choosing. This is no different than any other Panda Express. I did see the staff change out the dishes while I was there, so I know the food wasn’t sitting there since 10 am.
Staff were great. They were very patient with me while I sampled and decided on what to get! I’ll be back whenever I have Panda Express cravings!

I’ve decided to give them the additional star which I couldn’t give them in my last review. You did it, panda ! You’ve won my heart and you’ve won that additional star making you guys 5 star worthy in my book ! My boyfriends running a half marathon tomorrow so as soon as he came home from work, the first thing I told him was to load up on some carbs boy! Chow mein, orange chicken, and, Beijing beef. I’d like to think that’s a pretty good choice of carbohydrates ! I had initially planned on getting nothing but, who could resist? Those pictures on the drive thru menu screen were kinda talking to me so, I was like whynot ?! I also remembered that the manager is pretty active on Unilocal and since I’ve talked to her on here, whynot say hi and meet her in person ?!

Me: yeah ! It’s nice to meet you in person !
Erni: hold on, I have something for you! *hands me two coupons * if you need anything or have any questions, just let me know :)

The useful: Erni is always on top of her game whether it be at work or on Unilocal,she reaches out and makes sure you have a great dining experience there.
The funny: meeting someone via drive thru, pretty funny right? I’m just going to assume that it still counts as meeting in person *shrugs shoulders*
The cool: Erni ! She’s cool ! It’s not often you see managers reach out to customers via Unilocal/​in person and the fact that she does, ensures me that she’s all about guest service and actually cares about how the customer feels. Panda Express may be considered fast food but the way she reaches out to customers makes me forget it’s fast food.

I come to this location because of its drive through and the food tastes the same as other pandas I’ve been to.
Some advice to the workers, next time you are out of an entrée, let your customers know while they are ordering so they aren’t waiting 20+minutes for one entrée. There were multiple customers waiting outside in their cars for so long. Disappointing. Upsetting. Let people know so their time is not wasted. 12:30pm, lunch time, be prepared.

Panda is my favorite of fast foods, I love the chicken teriyaki and walnut shrimp, unfortunately this new place on Sheldon never has the teriyaki chicken ready when they open. I’m a Garbageman and my lunch is when they open. So far every other Panda has had the chicken ready when I come by. I’ll just go to different Pandas.

Came here on a weekday at around 2pm. This is the first location in Elk Grove that has a drive-​thru option, which is awesome! Also, it’s newly built and so the restaurant is super nice, clean, and spacious.
However, because the time we came was after lunch hour and not so much dinner time, a lot of the dishes were stale/​old. I ALWAYS get Orange Chicken at every Panda Express I go to but this time I had to pass after sampling it to see if it was hot/​crispy. The Orange Chicken sauce had absorbed into the breaded chicken, causing it to soggy and cold; same goes for the Beijing Beef. I wish Panda Express has a better protocol on how long a dish is allowed to sit out for before serving.
Besides that, the restaurant is so very awesome. I love how there’s a convenient drive-​thru as well. They also have this handy-​dandy soda cup lids dispenser where you pull for a lid every time which is very sanitary (only a few other fast food places have these). Also, they stay open pretty late (11:30pm), so that’s a plus.
I probably will come back because the location is so convenient and there’s a drive-​thru, however I’ll prefer to probably come back during busy hours so I can have freshly made and hot food.

Came back the second time today I just had to make my 3 stars 5 for this Panda Express. The service was amazing. There was 1 staff member and 1 manager. They were super friendly and enthusiastic. They have so much food, it was awesome!
The food was all filled, hot, and fresh. The manager constantly yelled to the cooks in the back to start cooking any items that we’re halfway through. They truly manage well. Tried the new Chinese Spareribs for the first time and it was just amazing.
They truly impressed me. Living very close by, I know I will always be back.

Aweaome drive thru! Thats the main reason why I went there. Biggest mistake of my life. Threw away 10 $. They served soggy and oddly tasting walnut shrimp, my favorite. And their chicken was mushy toppes with soggy rice. Never going to this panda express ever again.

They need to bring back the egg soup! This sweet and sour one is… Well, not cutting it! As for their food, my order was wrong when I got home, some how ended up with a mix of chow mein instead of all fried rice. Their orange chicken tasted like it got sprayed with cleaning supplies. Their beef broccoli was good, their steamed rice was cooked perfect! And the staff in the drive thru were nice. I might try it again, but most likely will go to the other Asian cuisine in the same parking lot, and get egg flower soup.

Chinese style fast food? I still like it.
2 – 3 times a month, and I’m topped off with my culture clashing taste bud cravings. Every location that Panda Express has to offer is the same. No complaints here.

New nice amazing customer service! Awesome drive in too. Way better cooking than most other panda expresses that tend to put too much oil in the chow mein

Went through the drive they here the other day. It’s been a while since I’ve had Panda Express because I’m not too fond of the Elk Grove location. But this one is sooooo good. Tastes like Panda Express should. Everything is fresh, and not over cooked. The staff is polite and offers you everything you need to make your meal complete.

New, nice and clean.
