Sesame chicken is the best along with the Wonton soup. The prices are excellent. The staff have always been very attentive.

Ate here for the first time today and was blown away by the portions you get for their lunch specials! I ordered two of their lunch specials and left full and content with plenty of left over for dinner lol!!! A must try for people who want quality and quantity at the same time.

Favorite Chinese restaurant in this area. I’ve met all the staff and despite reviews saying the service is bad i have yet to have a bad experience. This is a family owned and operated restaurant and all their ingredients are hand made. I usually order the General Tso Combo.

The quick version: without question, this place is the worst Chinese restaurant I have ever visited in the 916, period. The lengthy menu seems enticing, with a great variety of dishes. Everything we tried, though, was uniformly poor. Appetizers reeked of rancid cooking oil. Entrees came enrobed in what seemed like subtly altered versions of the same sauce. Gloppy, vaguely sweet, utterly devoid of flavor. The unfortunately named«Shower Chicken» at least sounded promising, alleged to be a crisp-fried chicken in a chili-spiked sauce. Turns out, this mercilessly overdone bird is drowned in the same sauce as all the other dishes, without even a trace of heat or seasoning. After this horror show of a meal, I could only sit slack-jawed as I read the numerous 4– or 5-star reviews of this place. Come on, white people, there is a world of flavor out there. Why do you allow yourself to be deluded into thinking that this is what real Asian food is? I don’t often say this, but you’d be far better off visiting any of the mediocre chain restaurants in the neighborhood than wasting your money and health on this monstrosity.

SADLY, if I didn’t have to add a star, I wouldn’t. My experience with this restaurant was completely awful. I arrived at the restaurant with my God sister for an after work meal. We were seated very quickly only to be left for what was twenty minutes before our order was taken. Customers came in after us and received their food ten minutes ahead of ours, not to mention they ordered what appeared to be the same thing as us. When our food began to arrive it was not brought to us all together. After waiting an additional 10 minutes we received all of what we order, only to be eating cold food. Ppl who came after us received their check and gone and we were still seated at the table. We finally walked to the register to pay and they didn’t even have our bill ready. Bottom line, worse experience ever at an establishment. I’ll never spend my hard earned money there. Not to mention the fried rice was salty as hell.

Second time here, and I will NOT be returning. We were seated immediately and we watched other people be seated after us. While waiting 15+ minutes for our food, we noticed other people that were seated AFTER us be served first with the same exact food that we ordered. Finally the server brang 1 of the 5 items we ordered. 10 mins later he brought out the next item, then 10 mins later a lady brought out the rest of our meal. Our food was cold and not brought out in a timely manner. Very Poor service.

First time here and I will NOT go back again. Got our order for take-out. Chicken Chow Mein, Kung Pow Chicken, and Beef Curry. First thing, I noticed was the Curry Beef smelled like a horrible urinal. I was hoping it was just the smell, but it tasted like it as well. Disgusting. All the Onions were raw. I love Onion but I was able to eat like three slices before I was over it. Chow Mein was the best part, which isn’t saying much. Shame for how much we spent.

This is my favorite Chinese restaurant in the Sacramento area. They have many many options. I usually select one of the combo plates for 1, eat half and save the rest for lunch. If you are a person with a big appetite, the combo will be more than enough for you. The Four Happinese and walnut shrimp are two of my favorites. But anything I have weaver ordered has been great. When asparagus are in season, they offer asparagus beef or chicken. The chicken is my favorite. I’ve done take-out a few times and they were very quick and had the food waiting for me when I arrived.

One of my top 3 Chinese restaurants. Everything is made fresh and you get tons of food for a great price! Everything is delicious! and very friendly staff! Been going here for years and glad it’s around!

Food is typical, but costumer service is shit. Rude service is not worth the mediocre food. Lots of other choices around this area. If look for another place to eat.

Wonderful Chinese Restaurant in the shopping center near Highway 99 and Bond Road is truly«wonderful»!! I have passed by this restaurant many times and never tried it but decided to this day since it was lunchtime and I was hungry. The name escapes me but there was a previous chinese restaurant here before Wonderful. This restaurant is more like a a Mandarin restaurant which serves food akin to the provinces in northern China. They have a vast array of spicy dishes on their menu which is contrary to the traditional dishes of southern China. The lunch menu is quite extensive and I found it was easy to find something I liked. And, the prices were very reasonable. Equivalent to a hamburger at some fast food places. I ordered the Oyster Sauce Beef over Rice and it was very good. It was a little sweeter than that commonly found in the traditional chinese restaurants on Freeport Blvd. in Sacramento and Nathan’s on Bruceville Road. The beef was very tender and the vegetables crisp and flavorful. Carrots and celery were abundant on this dish. I am used to Bok Choy with the beef. The service is very good also. Friendly and attentive. This restaurant was good for a change and I definitely would return to try the many other menu items.

We came in for dinner on a Saturday night at 8:50 pm. They close at 9:30 pm. From the minute we walked in the doors to the very last second we paid and walked out we felt like we were being rushed. We were done and walking out by 9:35 that night. While we were eating the restaurant staff was standing near the entrance to the kitchen behind our table just staring and looking at us. We kind of got the hint that they wanted us to eat as fast as we can so we can be out of there by the time they close. They took our order super fast, served our soup in such a hurry the server spilled some on our table each time she took some out in a bowl and they didn’t really check on us much or to see if we wanted to order more food or if we had any issue with the food. Why do you have posted closing times if you’re just going to rush any customers that come in if its within an hour of that time. I understand if we came in at like 9:15 pm and took our sweet time with everything and held them up from closing and stayed there until like 10 pm, that would be irritating, but come on you can’t rush your customers just because you want to go home early. Maybe they should post a sign that says Only open for To-go orders until 9:30 pm, dining area closes at 9:00 pm. I’ve been to so many places about 30 minutes before they close and they still took us in with a smile on their face and maintained great customer service even if we were there long after their closing time. I’ve noticed that being a trend with Asian owned restaurants, they have signs that say they close at a certain time but they treat you like crap if you walk in within an hour of them closing because they just want to clean up and go home as soon as they lock their doors. If you come in for food and its coming close to their closing time then expect to be rushed! As for their food, the egg drop soup was gross! It had a weird smell and after taste to it. Something i cant really describe, but its egg drop soup. How do you mess that up? We ordered Garlic Chicken, Mongolian Chicken, Chicken Chow Mein, and chicken fried rice. All the food actually looked very good, and tasted good too. It was too similar to the same old American style Chinese food you find at other restaurants. It was good but nothing special, like the same flavor and taste of food you can expect from another Chinese restaurant. All the dishes had plenty of big pieces of chicken which is a good thing. Some times restaurants will give you all sauce and veggies and no meat. The Chicken Fried rice was good and the Chow mein was good as well. I wish I could give this place at least 3 or 4 stars but their horrible service is making me leave it at 2 stars for now. If you want customers to return please maintain good customer service. You cant run a business with good food but have horrible service. Also. they need to clean or update their chairs. A lot of them have nasty stains on the seats and are dirty with food caked on to them. Since this place is down the road from where I live I will be trying them again in hopes of leaving a better review.

This is my favorite place to eat. I usually go at lunchtime when you get a great choice of entrees on their lunch menu. Easy on the wallet and the food is fantastic. Lunch starts with the WonTon Soup, which is the best I’ve ever tasted. I’ve tried the Spicy Shrimp, Sweet & Sour Chicken and their Happy Special. Huge portions that taste as good as they look. You even get hot tea included. The décor is a little dated so if you’re looking for a super modern establishment, you won’t find it here. But if you’re here for the fabulous food and speedy service, you’re onto a winner!

My family has been coming here for more than 16 years and it’s always been the best food we’ve ever had! The waiters always remember us and know what we want. It’s an old place with the same people for YEARS. Some of the seats could be improved, but it’s okay. We always get Family Style Dinner A for three people, but we always get substitutions. We substitute the dishes in the Family Style Dinner for Wonderful(mixed) Chow Mein, Mongolian Beef, and my favorite: Walnut Shrimp. Be warned: Walnut shrimp costs an extra dollar or two! The Family Style A(there is also an option B and C) Dinner includes wonton soup, appetizers, and main dishes. The Family Style Dinners range by price as well per person. Their appetizer includes fried wontons, this meat in a triangular shaped foil, and eggrolls with sweet and sour sauce. The food is always amazing here! I would definitely recommend the Walnut Shrimp, Mongolian Beef, Wonton Soup, Orange Chicken, and I believe it is called the Four Hapinese. They also have a fish and veggies(2 seperate dishes) that are cooked on the spot, but I am not sure what it is called. I do know that it all tastes GOOD! The prices here are very reasonable! For example, the Family Style Dinner I usually order is $ 35. Most of the dishes here are about $ 10 and under, with some of the most expensive dishes ranging from $ 11-$ 15. However, I would say their General’s Chicken gets really soggy in their sauce and it’s not as tender as it should be. That would be something they need to fix on. Also their décor, as it’s getting old. Overall, this place has always pleased me throughout the years. My family and I go here at least once a month or once every 2 months and it’s always good! Will always be coming back.

I was craving wonton soup and perused the menu and added some spicy eggplant with pork for takeout. Wor wonton soup: this was surprisingly tasty for what is usually a bland soup. I only got it because I was getting over the stomach flu but the broth and wontons were surprisingly flavorful. They added other pieces of beef, BBQ pork, shrimp and chicken with the wontons so maybe that added flavor to the broth. The wontons and pieces of meat were big and definitely worth the price($ 9.95 for a large). There were pieces of cabbage mixed in so it wasn’t just a «caveman», protein soup. If I had to come back, I would order this again. Spicy eggplant with pork: I definitely do not recommend this dish. Upon opening the styrofoam container, the eggplant and meat were swimming in inches of red oil. Maybe I could of overlooked that, but the eggplant was an off-gray color that almost made me dry heave all over again. I didn’t even take one bite because I was so scared of getting food poisoning. I hate wasting food and money but this was not acceptable. Prices were pretty standard for what you get at Chinese restaurants. Food was prepared pretty quickly(it took about 15 minutes from when I ordered). The restaurant was busy so maybe other items on the menu are better. But considering other Chinese restaurants have wonton soup… I probably won’t be back.

Wonderful Chinese Restaurant… was it Wonderful? It was average in my opinion. Wanted to try a new Chinese Restaurant since I got tired eating at the same ones over and over. Friends and I got 3 dishes, chicken chow mein, shrimp chow fun, and chicken fried rice. All those dishes… average. Nothing too spectacular. I felt that maybe the chow mein was a little bland, the chow fun was good, and the fried rice was ok. The service was average. The server did her job by getting us waters and hot tea, got our order right, but didn’t refill our waters or tea. So how many times did I say average… 3. In conclusion Wonderful Chinese Restaurant is average lol.

Wonderful Chinese lives up to its name. Service is always great and whether you eat in or takeout they’re great people. Their lunch specials are hard to beat and the portions are amazing. Whenever I’m sick or running a little ragged I get their won ton soup and it is consistently amazing. Their chicken fried rice is my favorite from anywhere. I’ve ordered it as my entrée on a number of occasions and never been disappointed. The food is consistently fresh and tasty. Portions are great and you won’t leave hungry. I don’t do seafood but my dad and fiancée love their Wonderful chow mein as well as their walnut shrimp. A great place that provides excellent value and has been doing it right for years.

This is the absolute best Chinese Food I have ever had in my life! I found this restaurant one day about a year ago while shopping, and I instantly fell in love. My boyfriend and I constantly come here and never go anywhere else for Chinese food. It’s never overly busy or packed, even on weekends. We are seated quickly and given ice water and delicious hot tea. We also order the same ting every time we go; Pork & Beef Chow Mein w/o veggies, and Wor Won Ton Soup. We never have to wait too long for our food to be ready and it’s always hot when served to us. Their items are always inexpensive and taste AMAZING. My boyfriend and I come here so often that the employee’s recognize us and already now what we want to order:) I love this place so much, that I would have them cater my wedding if they did catering, lol.
