You are eating at PANDAEXPRESS. Do you really expect the food/service to be extraordinary? C’mon. Everything, including the food, service, and cleanliness, was mediocre. People, let me remind you that this is PANDAEXPRESS. Do not enter with high expectations. This is an Americanized Chinese fast food chain — you get what you pay for and this sh*t is cheap. I would have no shame in dining here again.

It’s sad… We went there to eat some yummy food and we walk in and nothing looked fresh… Not the rice, not the chow mien not any of the food!!! nothing!!! Now I see why they are rated so low… First time here and we walked out. We will not be coming back to this location…

My wife doesn’t care for Panda Express, but me and my daughter like it a lot. Sometimes the lines are long, but over all they handle the lines much better than in the past. Much better job

This Panda Express in particular makes very, very oily food. Yes, I know this food is fried, but there’s just too much oil in the food at this location. It made me sick both times I got food from here. Go to the one on Sheldon, it’s much cleaner tasting and you won’t leave with a stomach ache.

We have been to PE’s all around CA, IL, Las Vegas. And this one had really bad orange chicken. It was very dry and did not have that orange flavor that I have grown to love. It was a nice clean restaurant. The staff seemed really nice. I for sure won’t be back here the next time I’m in Elk Grove.

This place is just so-so. I mean, it’s better than the place in Natomas where I found wads of hair in my food. I think my biggest problem is actually with the location. Panda Express is basically the same wherever you are(minus the wads of hair hopefully) so it’s the little things that make or break it. Firstly, this restaurant is located in an insanely bad parking lot. It would already be a confusing maze, but somebody decided to drop an In N Out burger right here as well. With no room for the always long In N Out drive thru, the line ends up snaking around the already blind corner filled parking lot. There are a jumble of cars, some waiting for In N Out and some just trying to make their way through and it creates a lot of close calls with cars going around each other and trying to access In N Out from different ways. I forgot all about the crazy parking lot situation from when i came here my first time. Still I was here again and I was going to give it another shot. I really wanted to try the jumbo shrimp they were offering but they didn’t have this brand new menu item ready at lunch time. They have pictures of it plastered all over the door, but it won’t be ready for 5 minutes. I went with the standard Orange Chicken which was pretty good, but gave me no real urge to come back any time soon.

Great friendly service, clean, not skimping on serving sizes, taken me in right before closing without issues, ran out of certain items but gladly made it fresh for me… even right before closing.

went there near closing time, what was left of the food looked bad. We both wanted orange chicken, but there wasn’t enough for 2 orders and they wouldn’t make more. there were only 4 choices and they weren’t making more. should’ve left.

For a fast-food chinese place(with the exception of their«thai chicken» dish), there isn’t a better place you can go to, and you will be full and satisfied after you’re done. Their service is quick and the restaurant is clean and modern-ish, with faux-granite tables and asian/panda décor(lol). As for the food, to get the best value, get their panda bowl, which is under $ 6 and will get you one side and one entrée(although this is not saying much, because panda express is a bit overpriced; ‘a bit’). It’s hard to choose between their chow mein and fried rice, because both are good. Entrée-wise, I usually go with their mandarin chicken w/o sauce, or their chicken and mushrooms. They give you a lot of meat when you order the mandarin chicken, but they don’t give you much chicken when you order the chicken and mushrooms, just a lot of zucchini and mushrooms. Their new Thai chicken dish is tasty as well, though it tastes nothing like any dish you would get at a Thai restaurant. As an aside, my favorite perk about Panda Express is they have the Pepsi-Cola line of fountain sodas(Mountain Dew, Pepsi and such)… Not a lot of restaurants opt for the pepsi-cola line…
