Came here with my cousins and ordered wonton soup, kung pao chicken, mangolian beef and beef and broccoli combo plates. The mangolian and kung pao was NOT spicy at all. Most of the plates were bland and the soysauce and chili oils did not help. Come here if you’re super hungry and don’t care for flavor.

Iron Wok is a great spot to dine. They are conveniently located, with a diverse menu. Staff is always friendly, and the food is consistently tasty. I have eaten at the restaurant a number of times — it is very clean and simple — and it is a perfect takeout spot. The«Special Combination» plates come with wonton soup and are served all day. Don’t believe the negative reviews! This place does a nice job of it.

The place was empty, I should have known it was a problem then. Customer service: rude and not pleasant Food: BLAND!!! The sesame chicken and the orange chicken looked exactly the SAME. Look like they just threw some sesame seeds over it. Chicken fried rice was also BLAND! We will not be returning here. Fortune cookies: STALE!

!!!BESTCHINESEFOOD! We ordered the largest party platter of BBQ pork fried rice for my daughters 18th bday party and it was a big hit! The fried rice!!! We had over 100 people there and everyone was like where’s the fried rice from! It wasn’t greasy at all and the rice was well cooked. No clumps of white rice nothing to complain. We came back again a week later and ordered again and yup their consistent with their rice. Taste the same. No other Chinese restaurant I’ve eaten at is consistent with their flavor! Oh and we ordered chow mein too so good and not greasy! Not over flavored not under flavored we didn’t need soy sauce packets same with the fried rice! I barely Iike going out for Chinese food cause of the grease but my husband likes chinese and now! We found our Chinese food!!! :)

Consistently terrific food, and fast service, whether for lunch or dinner. The Szechuan chicken is fantastic. Another favorite – Mu Shu Pork. Portions are generous, enough to share or to take home for a second meal. It is a great place to have dinner before going to a movie, since it is located in the parking lot next to Century Theater.

Came in on a Thursday around 2pm after a movie. I was the only one in the restaurant. One other person came in later for To Go orders. Establishment: Small restaurant, about 60 people capacity. Since it was an off-peak time there was no one in the front to greet meet, took about a minute or 2 till someone greet and seat me. Food: One of the best quality chinese food I have tasted. The only complaint I have is the price. The portions were quite small for its price, but the quality is good. Nothing like a Panda Express type. Came in a good time since it was lunch special, which went from 11am-3pm, which include entrée, a carb dish(chow mein, steamed or fried rice), soup, salad. The soup and salad were like large tea cup size portions though. For my entrée I had the orange chicken. The orange flavor was kind of mild, and somewhat spicy, had a little kick, but filling and meaty. Not too much of the flour coating like most chinese restaurant do for orange chicken. I also ordered fried wontons(6 pieces) and chicken wings(8 pieces). Service & Overall: Friendly and attentive service. Had some small talk. I would not mind coming back, especially for a date. It has a nice and fancy setting. The only issue would be the price, I feel like it is kind of pricey, but for a date it might be impressive.

Far Better that most all other Chinese restaurants, cooked healthy, great atmosphere clean. The Wonton soup is the best! Love the Szechuan Chicken, priced just right for Lunch!

I have been going here for years. Even after moving out of Elk Grove I still make a trip to pick up food from here. Love their Egg foo young. The best peanut sauce around. I love how their meat is all freak white meat.

I went there at 9pm and I asked to make sure they wouldnt close while we are eating. The waitress affirmed that and it seems like they wont close until the last customer leaves. That was real nice of them! Foods was good, I tried Broccoli Beef and Kung pao chicken. Both tasted very delicious and fresh. The soup came free with combination dishes. Only one tiny minus point is my bf said the food was less then expected(he is Chinese so he knows the average amount of food in Chinese meal). I found it ok, I’m not a prissy diners though :)

Salt and pepper chicken is amazing. The honey walnut prawns are so delish and a good size. None of those tiny ones most restaurants try to get away with. Lemon chicken and green beans in garlic sauce are good bets. Staff friendly and restaurant is clean with beautiful design.

Pepper fried calamari was amazing. I will be back to try the rest of the menu, we just stopped in for a snack after the movie. Good date night place.

This Chinese food sucks! Completely disappointed. So I went in at 8 on a Sunday night and got helped right away. I ordered a general chicken combination plate with chow mein.(HUGE plus, this place serves combination plates 7 days a week, AND when you order you also get a soup, including if it’s to go). My order came out in about 10 minutes, not bad. I took it home and by the time I arrived it was still nice and warm. I ate my egg roll first. Not bad. It was still crispy, not too oily and tasted good. My wonton soup was pretty good as well. The chicken and chow mein on the other hand, were not so good. I found both to be rather bland. Neither had any sort of flavor I could distinguish. It was so bad that after a couple of bites I had to stop. I wasn’t enjoying my food. I was highly disappointed. I could’ve got better Chinese food at Raleys or Bel Air.

I have tried virtually every single Chinese restaurant in Elk Grove and I feel this place is the best in town. The General’s Chicken is very high quality and delicious. We usually ask for«light on the sauce» which makes it a little better, in my opinion. General’s Shrimp is also amazingly good if you’re in the mood for shrimp(also light on the sauce). Mongolian Chicken/Beef is also on our favorite list, as is Walnut Shrimp. We like this place so much that we order it at least once per week or at least every other week!
