Really good food. The lunch specials are always good and the best Hot &Sour soup I’ve ever had.

They probably have the best fried rice in Elk Grove. Good food with decent prices. Definitely won’t leave hungry. They have good sized portions flavorful food, and everything is fresh.

I’ve gone here for the longest I can remember. We always order take out. Usually combination fried rice (sometimes chicken only), orange chicken, chicken chow mein, chow fun, beef and broccoli. There’s probably a ton more dishes that we get but those are the ones my family constantly gets on a regular basis.

I loooooove Panda South. Their Sesame Shrimp is to die for, you must try it ! I’ll always come back to dine in or out, servings are huge and customer service is awesome !!!

The only good about Panda South is the price. Do not trust the prices listed on their online menu. Prices are at 75 cents to a $ 1.50 more on each item than what’s listed online.
Also, double check their math. Get the receipt with the breakdown of the items. I ordered 3 items totaling around $ 28. Although I had a $ 5 coupon, I was still charged $ 30.

Hands down, my favorite Chinese restaurant. I don’t know what magic they sprinkle into their pork fried rice, but it is beyond delicious. The prices are reasonable, the service is fast and friendly, and the food is heavenly! I will recommend this spot to everyone :)

I initially started coming to Panda South because it was convenient. However, the more I visited the more I was won over by the food and service.
I love noodles, especially chow mein. I could easily eat it every day and never get sick of it. When I get combination plates, I plow through the chow mein then eat the rice and meat. But I LOVE Panda South’s pork fried rice that I almost forget to eat the chow mein. Don’t get me wrong, their chow mein is really good too, but the pork fried rice is too awesome to wait to eat.
The ladies who work there are also very sweet. Often times I either come alone or get take out. Either way, they remember me and my order (I am so predictable) and always offer me water while I wait.
I’m happy that they’re across the street, but I would go out of my way to go there even if I wasn’t as close by.

Best Chinese food in Sacramento. Well seasoned cooked to perfection and saucy. Gave up generic Panda Express and every other spot since 2012

I love Panda South! Don’t expect straight traditional Chinese food, it’s more streamlined but not like Panda Express. Great lunch combos and dinner deals. Best hot and sour soup!

I really liked it here! The servers were super sweet and adorable actually. The food is good, and service was quick!

My gf and I have not eaten here. However I believe I needed to share this story:
My gf and i were eating outside with our mr pickles sandwiches before panda south was open. We then observed 3 old chinese people digging into the fountain by said location and taking the change from the bottom of dirty water. We didn’t think anything of it as if they are homeless they are just trying to get some extra money. However when someone unlocked the door to panda south we saw all three of them walk in. Curious if they worked there we walked on over to see them cleaning tables and prepping the restaurant with absolutely no time in between to wash their hands. To me that’s disgusting and i would never want to eat here seeing what i just saw. Be forewarned.

I often go to Elk Grove to take my kids to the many awesome playground parks. After expending all that energy, I often take them here to eat. Huge portions, great prices, fast and friendly service, spacious and plenty of parking. Seriously the food comes out so fast. I picture all sorts of conveyer belt witchery going on behind the curtain like the Dr. Seuss story «The Sneetches.» And I’m okay with that. The question is, Are you?

High priced, food was standard. Nothing that would warrant crazy prices. I guess it is a higher end Chinese Restaurant but I was out 35 bucks just to feed my kids! I ate next door at Crazy Sushi and my wife had Noodles & Company. Had a bunch of rice my kids didn’t need. I ended up throwing 2 pints of rice cuz it wasn’t necessary. Not coming back here.

Panda South is terrific– food was great, our server was absolutely adorable and so friendly, and the service was fast. I ordered mixed veggies and chow mein and it was terrific; hot and sour soup was delicious as well. The portions were huge (I had enough for a second dinner), and the price was decent. I appreciated the cleanliness of the restaurant (as always). I will absolutely be back.

This place has my vote for the best Chinese restaurant in the Central Valley, hands down.
Quick service, clean environment, good amounts of food (probably more than what you actually pay for with certain dishes), and a very friendly staff. The downside: I live an hour away from this place!
