Smashburger

The first time I had smashburger was at the Roseville location and since then I’ve been addicted! I recently moved to elk grove and was extremely happy to find out that I now have a location nearby where I live. The food is always great, I’ve never had a bad experience here and the employees are friendly. My favorite is the mushroom swiss, idk what they put in that thing but it’s like crack! Lol

their smash fries are delicious which I would go back again for. However, I feel indifferent about their burger. I’m not thrill of their avocado bacon burger. meat seemed dry, even though the burger was fresh. it was missing dressing or sauce. I’m willing to try their other burgers first before I make a final decision on this place.

I LOVE THIS PLACE BUT… warm beer? Come on, you didn’t think people would want a beer with their meal? This POOR MANAGEMENT, either put the beer on ice out of a refrigerator, or take them off the menu. A cold corona is 50% of my reason for coming here, Now you are just another McDonald’s burger joint.

Food: The burgers and fries here aren’t great but isn’t bad either. I like how they don’t cook the beef patty all the way, there’s like a very little amount of pink. I like the size of their regular size burger, I would not get the big size. I think that’s a ripoff considering paying more for a thicker patty, but I don’t see the difference. I like their regular burger. I’ve tried the jalepeno one that is supposed to be spicy and it just seems like there’s no many flavors in there, so I usually get the regular size classic burger with jalepeno on the side. Service: The cashiers seem to never really want to be there, I mean who does, but at least put on a smile! They of course will expect you to know exactly what you want. At least they repeat the order back to me I guess.
Price: pretty expensive, usually spend up to $ 21 for my boyfriend and me. I wish they offered a combo deal.

Nice quality burgers made by friendly staff. The side dishes are equally as good. I especially enjoy the deep fried pickles.

Nothing special here. The bun was not toasted or warmed up. I purchased the bbq cheddar burger and a side of fries. The girl at the cash register was rude too which added to the overall «so-​so» experience. I probably wouldn’t come back to this place for a burger.

I really enjoyed my classic smash today. This time, I accompanied it with their Oreo shake. Because of being a holiday, the wait was a bit longer than usual. Nevertheless, it was totally worth it.

I had a BOGO coupon for this place and decided top give it a shot for dinner.
Ordered one NorCal burger and a side of veggie frites. The man ordered the grilled chicken club with a side of fried pickles.
My burger was very good! I could taste all the flavors of each individual ingredient. The balsalmic tomato and brie cheese were my favorite toppings and the bacon was great! The patty was seasoned and cooked to my liking.
The man’s chicken sandwich was also really good. It didn’t look like it would be very flavorful, yet my bite was really good and I really liked the wheat bun it came with.
The sides are my biggest complaint. Both the veggies and the pickles were very greasy. The pickles were also SO SALTY we couldn’t finish them. The greenbeans were pretty good, but the carrots were undercooked and still pretty hard. Not something I would ever order again.
However, the burgers will keep me coming back for more!

Oh my!!! This place has the best burgers here! I like everything on their menu. Their fries are great, their meat is juicy, the buns are soft everything here tastes amazing. Whenever you’re in town come try this place out you will not regret it! I’ve also had their sales and they are also pretty tasty, they are worth all the calories !!!

Third time I have been to this location over the course of probably 2 years. Came because of the $ 5 off $ 12 email coupon. I had the Mushroom Swiss and my son had Spicy Baja, and we split a large Smash fries. Both burgers were good, but nothing special for $ 6 each. Fries were also good. Staff was friendly.
In terms of value, I think it is just ok as my go to cheap, but good burger place is in ‘n out which is about a mile away from this location.
With coupon, I say four stars, three stars at full price.

Cheeseburgers are one of my favorite foods EVER. So favored that once, when coming out of surgery when I was a baby the first solid food I asked for was a cheeseburger (or sounded like I said it). I was most definitely obliged.
I carry that undying love to this day. Mmmmmmmm. Cheeseburger.
Smashburger is one of my favorite places around EG to indulge. And indulge I do. I’ve sampled all the varieties they serve, including a create your own. Mmmmm. Most recently it was the NorCal and BBQ one. The NorCal was just «okay», I like my Brie to be a higher crème type like a triple. But it still was pretty good, but I suppose I prefer something more sharp like cheddar. I’ve also tried their chicken sandwiches and salads. Both are good, but I come for the meat between two buns (giggity).
Shakes are good too, served the best way possible, the tin on the side.
Smash and regular fries are good. The buffalo fries are unfortunately disappointing, it would be better if they were not just shaken in buffalo seasoning but also covered in sauce and blue cheese crumples (with a chopped chicken up-​charge option). Sadly, they stopped serving chili so
I can no longer stuff my face with a chili cheese burger.
I sometimes get the kids meal, which don’t be fooled, is SUPER filling on its own.

I’ve been meaning to try Smashburger for the longest time. I tend to stick to either Red Robin or The Habit, both of which are extremely near this location.
The restaurant is pretty small on the inside, but they have a cute outdoor patio. I decided to create my own burger: egg bun, lettuce, cucumbers, smash sauce (house sauce), mushrooms (add. $ 1.29), and bacon (add. $ 1.29). I also added an order of their smash fries. My boyfriend ordered the new Windy City burger. We paid $ 18 for our meal, and I do not think it was worth it. My burger was an oily mess. I don’t think the cooks drained out the oils from the mushrooms. It made my burger wet, and I hate that. My bf did not think his burger was anything special either. The fries, on the other hand, were delicious. Other than for the fries, which will be rare, I will not be returning.

I went to Smashburger for the first time and although I like the idea of their menu, the burgers are just okay. Not a lot of flavor to the patty.
I tried a burger special the «Windy City» burger and I was not impressed. The burger was a patty, cheddar cheese, fried onion strings, tomato, lettuce, and spicy mustard, served on a pretzel bun.
The bun was hard and extremely dense. Way too hard to be used as a burger bun. I ended up taking the top bun off and eating it like a tostada. Even still, the onion strings lacked in flavor and salt and the patty was bland.
The service was good and the employees were friendly. I’ll likely return to try something different.

Smashburger is a great alternative to In N Out or Five Guys. Their burgers also have a sloppier style which I tend to like because more meat! I usually get the classic smash which is just a beef patty with traditional toppings (pickles, lettuce, onions, tomatoes). All the burgers come in regular or large size. I also really like their oreo milkshakes. In addition to milkshakes they offer malts which are a little thicker but a dollar more. Both the milkshakes and malte come with some extra in a silver cup.
The seating at smashburger is really nice because they offer inside and outside seating. If you haven’t already, go try Smashburger!
I give Smashburger ⁴⁄₅ stars because everything is good except ordering fries and burgers separately becomes a little pricey and because it’s nothing spectacular, just a good burger.

The burgers here are pretty decent, they didn’t really wow me but they didn’t disappoint me wither. I usually give a place a few tries before I review, but I don’t live here so I will give my review now.
I was really excited to try this place because I liked the idea of being able to customize my burger w/​a lot of different options. I like how they have a few custom burgers so if you are unsure, sometimes its hard with so many choices in front of you.
On this visit I ordered the smashburger with pepper jack, lettuce, onion tanglers and guacamole. I also got the original smashburger, and the Buffalo Bleu.
The smashburger with pepper jack was decent, but the guacamole was pretty bland… it was in desperate need of salt and there was only a little dollop of it, certainly not even enough for the whole burger. In fact, in my picture, you cant even see it.
The Buffalo Bleu was good, it was spicy as the name indicates and had good flavor. This was probably the best out of the three, you can’t really go wrong with bleu cheese.
The original smashburger with cheese was unforgettable, there was nothing special about it at all and I would probably not order it again. I would rather go to In N Out or somewhere, price wise because I can get a whole meal vs just a burger.
I also got a large order of garlic fries. Here they make their garlic fries w/​garlic (duh) and they toss them w/​rosemary. I did not really care for the rosemary. I was disappointed with their ‘large’ size, there was nothing large about it. Their large is what would be considered a small at other places, so I would hate to see what they consider small. I asked for a ranch to dip them in and was hoping to get a good side of homemade ranch but instead got some bottled goop that was gross.
The burgers here were juicy and had a good flavor to them. I am considering coming back when in town, I think I will re-​order the Buffalo Bleu and skip any side items.
Service wasn’t bad but it could have been better, it was a lot of younger kids working and they just didn’t really seem too enthused, lol

Friendly folks & good food, mmm hmmm (except the kid’s chicken strips… those were pretty bad, tasteless, like zero seasoning, but hoping it was an off day on that).
Everything we ordered came out quickly and was hot n fresh!
Their Buffalo Blue Cheese burger is highly recommended, and the Smashfries are also worth trying.

Great burgers but if you ordering on the phone even if you didn’t prepay for your food go to the prepaid line. I wasted time waiting 10 minutes in the reg. line. While my food say there getting cold. I mentioned it to the gal but obviously who we were she gave a two sh*ts less. Yes and I mean my race… People need to grow up.
I gave a 4 star 4 the food.

For a regular classic burger, fries, and a 22oz of diabetes, it came out to almost 10 bucks. Do you know what I can do with 10 bucks? Make it rain. It wasn’t even all that great wth. I was hella bored eating it. Told my gf that I’d rather go to McDonald’s and drown myself with two Big Macs there (done it before #truestory).
Like T.I., I don’t want no mediocre.

Had to use a coupon from Z-​Best book that expires the end of this year!
We have been to Smashburger here in Elk Grove and the one at Arden Fair mall. We like them both.
Deciding what to order is always an issue for me as there were some pretty tasty choices. We decided to order the truffle mushroom Swiss burger & BBQ bacon cheddar burger. Both ordered with a single hamburger on a flavorful egg bun. My HB was going to skip fries; I said no I’m going to order them as I was in the mood for them. I ordered both smash fries and sweet potato fries. I didn’t care for the smash fries as they were a little too skinny and a bit salty. I did however love the sweet potato fries!
As we were waiting for our order I forgot about the freebie items that come with the burger. I wish that the Smashburger employee mentioned that prior to my order. He did ask if I wanted the burger cut in half?
I said yes that’s a great idea! But didn’t mention the freebie extras. Probably thought we already knew. I guess it was my bad but he could have said something to that effect.
That’s the reason for one less star plus fries being a little skinny & salty.

I haven’t been here in quite a while — I admit I have a list of other places to go to for a nice burger before I choose this one. But my dad gave me some coupons (thanks dad!) so I came by for my free burger.
The menu is pretty straightforward. Single burger, double burger, grilled chicken options, and different burger styles. I went with a single burger, spicy jalapeño baja style! I also noticed at the bottom of the menu in smaller font they have 15 free add-​on toppings and sauces. I don’t remember them having this before! I thought the cashier would ask me if I wanted to add any of these, but she didn’t, so I had to stop her and ask for grilled onions also. They also have different bun and cheese options in case you would like to substitute, along with $ 1 add-ons…including fried egg!
My smashburger was a lot more flavorful and moist than I remember. The only downside was how messy it was! The guacamole squeezed out of every side and I had to mop it up with my sweet potato fries so I wouldn’t waste it. The spice and heat was perfect though, not too spicy but definitely had a kick to it!
After this visit, I think I might return (without the need of a coupon!) and try out more of their add-​ons!
