Fat Jack’s BBQ in Jenkintown pa is moving into the former and will be opening by 2nd week of March. Same great food with a bigger menu. Same great service and food just in a different atmosphere. Check it out.

Went there this evening and was delighted with the service, food, and ambiance. Definitely will go again — soon!

This is a great Kosher, organic, Middle Eastern meat restaurant! They have all the usual Israeli menu items, plus burritos, tons of burgers, and recently added some Chinese dishes, as well! For those of you who are unfamiliar with ‘kosher’, this restaurant doesn’t serve any dairy products(cheese, milk, butter) due to kosher dietary restrictions of not mixing milk with meat. The food is tasty and people are nice.

Avoid at all costs. Terrible food and service. Just awful. Very unprofessional in every way. Also, no cheeseburgers? Ridiculous. I understand it’s kosher but it should be an option. The hummus was good but the burgers were dry and tasteless. There are so many great burger places that this should be easy to avoid.

I still feel that the food is good but will have to kick their star rating down a notch due to their bad service. I was really disappointed after my last visit. we were leaving the restaurant and there were a few employees just hanging out at the front counter and no one thanked us as we left. also inconsistencies with menu vs. what you actually get… veggie burger says it comes with roasted veggies on it but then you have to ask for them? and what falafel platter doesn’t come with pita bread… come on now!

Philly sándwich on pita falls apart. El gringo sandwich ordered medium came out with bright red neat, the Mariachi sandwich was charred on the outside. The schnitzel sandwich was average. The veggie burger was burnt. And completely overpriced. Service was Israeli…

Went to this place on a Monday night. I arrived at 8:25PM and the kid said we are closed, come back tomorrow. I think not! The sign says they are open until 9:00PM and a poorly written handwritten piece of paper sign indicates that the kitchen closes at 8:30PM. This is one poorly managed place. I wrote to their website and received no response. Look for it to close soon. I’m actually glad I didn’t eat there… one can only imagine.

WORSTSERVICEEVER. I did an online order. When my husband goes to pick up the food they don’t have the order. He orders again and it takes them ONEHOUR to cook the food. We ordered two burgers and a side of fries. No matter how busy you are how can an order take that long??? If their online service doesn’t work, they shouldn’t advertise it on their website. My husband complained and showed them the receipt we were sent via email and we were given no discount. The guy blamed the fax machine and said he couldn’t do anything about it. Beyond all that, their food is mediocre. The meat is okay but their buns fall apart while you’re eating the burger. Get it together Burger.Org. Usually I like to support kosher restaurants but their customer service is appalling. It really upsets me that kosher restaurants can be excused from good service and often good food just because they can pull«just be happy you have a kosher restaurant». Then they survive off of the kosher community, when normally they would fall under immediately. From the looks of the other reviews, it doesn’t look like this is a one-time mistake. I will not be giving this place my business again.

I really want to like this place but just can’t. The décor is nice. However, the burgers are just not good. We have been a couple of times, and every time they are overcooked and tasteless, despite asking for«medium.». Fries are soggy. Despite the name, they don’t seem to be able to make a good burger & fries.

My experience with falls under the category of «learn something new everyday.» I read about recently while skimming an article debating who serves the best burger in Philly. So I discover that one is open in my neighborhood and I decide to give it a try. The décor is very nice — much more upscale than I expected for a «burger» place — I was expecting more of a fast-food type of establishment. The menu had much more than just burgers but I decided to go with a classic burger and this is where I learned my new fact of the day. I asked for cheese and was told that there are no cheese offerings on their menu. The waitress didn’t explain why and I didn’t ask but when I Googled them this morning, I discover that is a kosher restaurant and kosher dietary law forbids dairy and meat being consumed together. I had no idea. Cheese aside, the burger was pretty good. We’ll probably return to give them another try.

The burger was dry with no taste. A «lettuce» wrap was more like a lettuce bowl — impossible to eat with your hands. The fries were soggy and tasteless. I ordered a half-and-half online for a drink and when my order was ready they said they had no idea what it was. Had I eaten in the restaurant I would have asked for my money back.

We went to the Burger restaurant in Jenkintown for dinner. It was not a good night. We waited a few minutes to get menus and then our order taken. We waited 55 minutes for a medium rib steak dinner(around $ 20.00) with 2 sides and a steak sandwich(around $ 10) and an order of sweet potato fries. The food was like shoe leather and overdone. The waitress apologized and said the chef didn’t show up today. In our section there were two other tables when we came in and 4 others after we sat down. One of the got their order before ours, one waited 20 minutes for appetizers and didn’t have their dinner yet when we left, the other two no food. They need to get their act together and handle the clients or they will be out of business. We traveled 30 minutes to get there and it will be a long time before we go back again. This was our second time there.

They did not give us any napkins or silverware until we asked, and waited until bringing our dinner to bring us drinks. The waiters seemed generally clueless the whole time. I ordered my burger medium rare and it came out well done. When I asked for them to redo it, they brought it out again about 15 minutes later… And it was still well done. The burger(El Gringo) was also put together rather sloppily. The restaurant seems run without any real care for its customers. I can’t comment on the food as I never received what I asked for. At least the fries were decent. The burger was ultimately taken off the bill. Other locations are far superior to this one.

Very nice décor, seems clean and well maintained. This restaurant replaces another kosher restaurant at the same location. It is essentially a fast food restaurant with high prices. The food is greasy and poorly prepared. The steak sandwich I ordered arrived after a long wait and was cold. I sent it back. It was returned looking like it was heated and then thrown back into the roll without care or thought. The«service» was poor, impatient and came with«attitude.» Thankfully the attitude was gratis.
I really wanted to like this restaurant. There are too few Kosher restaurants in this area and we wanted to support it, but it needs someone to show them how to prepare food and serve customers. I do not think that we will return. It is unfortunate.

Got take-out today from the new Burger.Org in the Walgreens shopping center where Max & David’s used to be. The hostess greeted me immediately and took my order of the«very veggie burger», one of their speciality burgers. She told me it would be about 5 minutes. I hung out and about 15 minites later she told me my order was ready and quickly rung me up. They should probably not tell people 5 minutes if they need longer but 15 minutes seemed like a reasonable amount to wait so I did not mind. The veggie burger was moist and delicious– homemade and made from a green pea base. The grilled veggies and guac on top were excellent too. My only critique would be that for $ 9.95, I think they should include a small bag of chips or at least a pickle spear. Great addition to the neighborhood!
