I have not stayed at this hotel yet but judging from the management and customer service I’ve encountered thus far I would not stay here if a room was given to me for free. I have been trying to give them business for my upcoming wedding but this seems to be an impossible task. I have spoke with four different people who either can’t find the general manager or do not give her the message. When I did finally get in touch with the GM she blamed the owner stating he is still negotiating room rates. Not sure what that means, nor do I care. From what I’ve experienced the customer service here is severely lacking at all levels.

2nd stay here. Clean Room, very friendly staff, parking can get tight and the back lot is to dark. Bar/Restaurant within walking distance, morning breakfast and coffee is good, complimentary cookies, ice & soda machine on each floor, Heated pool didn’t use but looked clean, lobby computer for use, comp wifi that works well, AC window unit kept room 67° just fine, fridge, microwave, iron & board in room. Has pizza delivery to room. Quiet hotel and area, no road noise.

We stayed here 4 nights and were very comfortable. The room was nice. The breakfast was standard for this chain of hotels. The desk staff was courteous and attentive. It was a great value(we paid about $ 250 for 4 nights at double occupancy, which is VERY fair in this area). Room for improvement: If you are the breakfast attendant, your job is to attend to the breakfast, not stand around and be in the way talking to your co-workers while people are trying to prepare and eat breakfast. This is a pet-friendly location. When people take their pets out to «walk», they come back in through the breakfast room. To me, this is gross. Have a little extra space and maybe a sign/notice asking guests to keep their animals out of the breakfast room. If I wanted a dog in my face during breakfast, I would buy a dog. This also grossed me out when one of the guests was petting all over one of the other guests’ dogs and then went right back to touching EVERY single object on the breakfast bar. So, that cut my breakfast short for the day. Some of the other staff could be a little friendlier. I know you are just a housekeeper or maintenance person and you probably make horrible wages, but if a guest is struggling to get a door open or push an elevator button while you are just standing right there, it’s a nice touch to actually help open the door or push the button. One of the housekeepers saw me coming with my hands full and tried to even shut the elevator door in my face! If you are going to brag about the view your hotel has of the river, maybe wash the windows sometime. Our view was mostly just a dirty window that was covered with lime deposits you could barely see through.

Ha ha, I never stayed there because I called them two times, let the phone ring 15 times before hanging up, called again and after 10 rings a rather harried man came on the line and gave me room rates.

This was by far the absolute WORST hotel stay I have ever had. For starters, I waited at the check-in counter for 10 minutes before going to my car and getting my cell phone to call the front desk. That got the receptionist walking out from the door behind the desk licking his fingers and apologizing because he was«on his lunch break» I booked a double bed non-smoking room but the stench of the cigarette smell in that room was just SO unbearable. There were 2 additional guests in my room and NONEOFUS had any hot water to shower. Not to mention the most ANNOYING air conditioner. Every half an hour it would go off for about 30 seconds like a blaring alarm. Also, there wasnt even enough parking accomodations for everyone at the hotel. There were 5 cars parked on the grass in front by the no parking sign and 4 other cars blocking the doors at the entrance. The night receptionist said if anyone complains in the morning she’d have us towed. So basically I was paying to stay somewhere and didn’t even have a safe place to park my car without having to worry about being towed. Needless to say we didn’t get much sleep at the«Sleep Inn»…

This is a nice location on the river; clean and has friendly staff. It is in need of a makeover; our room had frayed carpeting and wallpaper border coming away from the wall. The biggest disappointment here was the wi-fi; we were on the 4th floor and had real problems connecting; could only get a good connection in the lobby. We depend on the computer for travel info on the road, so would not recommend this Sleep Inn if you need connectivity.

Clean with a nice pool which was clean and warm. Good cook your own breakfast waffles. Easy off-on I75 too. The real JEWEL was front desk clerk Judy. Went above and beyond and make staying away from home a pleasure. Way to go Judy!!! All in all we would stay there a 3rd time if need be. Both Chili and Cupcake(fur kids) liked the stay as well.

A good place to stay for you and your dogs. I’ve stayed here twice and was never disappointed. Located near the Ellenton Outlet Mall, it is centrally located between Brandenton, Sarasota and St. Pete. It also has a great view of the Manatee River and right next door to Woody’s River Roo Restaurant, a local favorite. The Inn is a older hotel, but it is very clean and the staff is friendly. Judy at the front desk is a delight to talk to and will help you with all your needs. I had no problems during my stay, the room was very clean and the air conditioning was in good working order. As a pet friendly hotel, this is a great place and my dogs loved it. Two paws up.
