The only thing I loved about IceBerry was their wall art/deco. .otherwise, it was very disappointing –____– 1. Froyo was too icy/watery 2. Fruit flavors all tasted weird, almost powdery 3. Furniture is kinda cool just cuz there are booths and it’s not like all the other froyo places(copying Yogiberry/Pinkberry) 3. TV screen with entertaining music vids 4. Owner is pretty nice! 5. Only thing I would change about the deco was what they put inside the middle of a hollow table.. .Asian hair clips. The table would’ve made a lot more sense had they deocrated the inside with plastic fruits or something more relevant to froyo haha. 6. No crowds! Cheaper than Tutti, but definitely not as good :(

Finally got around to trying IceBerry, from which I can see Tutti Frutti across Rt. 40. Décor is really nice. It seems that they have done some renovation, and it seems to have paid off, from what I heard from friends who’ve been there before the renovations. Standard self-serve froyo joint. I got peach-mango, green tea, and strawberry. I don’t get green tea very often(with flavor rotations at other froyo places), but I wasn’t a huge fan of it. I’m usually a bigger fan of tart flavors, and the peach-mango and strawberry were very delicious. Of course I also went crazy on the toppings: strawberries, blueberries, chocolate chips, almond slivers, peanuts, Fruity Pebbles, sprinkles…(I held back a little bit)(XD) At their summer price of $ 0.39/oz.(I think Tutti Frutti has the same price in the summer), I was very very pleased with my froyo. I guess I’m just holding out on the 5th star b/c of the green tea flavor and ALSO because no card for stamping. Was a bit disappointed that they don’t do half-off after 10 anymore, but apparently they will be doing half-off with a student ID soon? So look out for that! Also, free wi-fi inside!(I think.)

I read the other reviews and can see why someone would give this two stars. There are already two very popular froyo places on Route 40 in Ellicott City and a third one is going to have to offer something special to win over customers. For me, it did. I really like the tart flavors. They offer taro, which is really unique. I also loved the tangy orange made with stevia instead of sugar. I also looked up the nutritional info, and it seems that iceberry’s sugar content is lower than some of its competitors. I do agree that the green tea isn’t very good. I should have gotten a sample before dumping a bunch in my cup. Toppings are fewer as well, but it’s a smaller shop. Décor is cute.

so we saw the ‘now opened’ sign and decided to check it out since we frequent tutti frutti a lot. It’s a smaller shop and it has fewer flavors and they didn’t carry one of my favorite flavors which is ‘vanilla’ so basically I just got honeydew just to be polite since we did walk in when no one else was there. Sadly, the yogurt wasn’t what I like(creamy) but more icy, maybe that’s why they came up w/their store name as Iceberry? Overall, I wasn’t that impressed with the selection of yogurt and they didn’t have much toppings available compared to other self serve froyo place I’ve visited. But I have to say the workers were polite and the décor was nice. I liked the ambiance but they need to improve their yogurt. Maybe it’s because they’re basically just starting out so maybe they need some more time to figure what’s best with their froyo. But I have to say, it’s a bad idea to open a froyo place right across a competitor who seem to doing much better. But then again, I’m sure other’s prefer icier yogurts. If so, this is the perfect place. And if you like more tarty flavors this is the place to go.

IceBerry has opened in the Mar’s/St. John’s plaza(next to Bare Bones and GameStop) to join in the Froyo battle that is going on in Ellicott City. It’s pretty much located across Rte. 40 from the very popular Tutti Frutti. It’s a very small shoppe with a similar DIY tart frozen yogurt and toppings bar. The walls are adorned with cute little drawings and neon lighting, aiming for a cool, hip place with the plastic furniture design. Unfortunately, my sister and I had some problems with the taste and texture of the yogurt. My sister said it was extremely tart in flavor, however, SX and I liked that this froyo was quite tart. I had an issue with the Green tea flavor(one of my favorite go-to flavors), as something was just not right… also had a citrusy after taste. My sister and I also felt that the froyo was too icy in texture(ie: the honeydew flavor). The icy texture is very similar to the soft serve ice cream you get at cheap Chinese buffets. Due to this, my sister and I question the yogurt value in some of the more icy flavors. The froyo at Tutti Frutti and YogiCastle is much more creamier. SX was the only one who ate all of his frozen yogurt. Sadly, my sister and I could not finish ours. The toppings bar is also significantly smaller than Tutti Frutti’s selection. They also have a frequent costumer card(like Tutti Frutti). A lot of their information can be found on Facebook, IceBerry at Ellicott City, MD. The service was super friendly and smiling, which was nice. They only just opened, so I think they just need some time to figure out the kinks. May be back to try it again…
