I work in the area and have been to this place at least 15 times for lunch. I can say that I’ve never had a bad meal. Maybe once the wontons(homemade) were a little mushy and over cooked. Food IMO is outstanding… as good as you can get or better than any Asian cuisine I’ve ever had. Fantastic sesame, orange and General T’s chicken and shrimp. The shrimp are jumbo… not those little ones that you usually get at Chinese restaurants. The cheesesteak egg rolls are awesome… a must try. Good pad Thai and noodle dishes. I’ve never been here for dinner but lots of neat items on the menu: Thai, Korean, Vietnamese, Japanese, Sushi… lots of options. A little pricier maybe, but a very nice trendy atmosphere. It’s worth it. I don’t know why this place isn’t always packed. It’s that good.

I’ve been here about 6 times during lunch, happy hour and dinner. I have not had a bad experience yet. The food is really good. I usually get a few appetizers at happy hour. Calamari is my favorite for 5 dollars. Can’t beat that! I’ve also had the curry and loved it. Came with 6 people and all of them were very happy with their choices. I also bought a Groupon but keep forgetting to use it. It’s a good deal Try this place out. They keep getting better and better and I have not had a problem with service.

Came here for lunch last weekend & the look of the place is great. Nice atmosphere when you walk in, but the food was lacking. The flavors were all weird, no good flavor and even the meat in my meals tasted strange, like it was undercooked but it appeared cooked. Needless to say, I didn’t eat much of it and it was not good. There was definitely enough left over but I did not want to experience it over again. I would not suggest eating here for good food. My fiancé and I ordered Thai inspired dishes and they were over priced and not tasty at all. We ate a little trying to think it would get better and it did not. The service was ok but the waiter was not knowledgeable and didn’t seem to offer any advise when we were trying to figure out what to order. I would NOT recommend coming here. Overpriced and the food is not good= bad.

If I could give a zero star, I would. Horrible management and way over priced food! My daughter and I went out on a rainy eve for our mother daughter night to this place because I had purchased a groupon. It was around 6 and the place was deserted. I’ve always been a bit wary of empty restaurants during dinner hour but since I drove 30 minutes to use the groupon I figured, how bad could it be. Well, now I know why the restaurant was so empty. The service was horrible and the management was very rude. Apparently they are not hurting for business because she was quite rude and obnoxious. Not only did she not honor the groupon but was very condescending in her tone. I will never ever go there again. As for the food, sushi was mediocre and cheap looking. Small portion and no roe on California rolls? What? Sesame seeds? How cheap! Also ordered drunken noodle and it was ok. Not the best but not the worst. Think twice before going there.

Went back after having a decent lunch to try their sushi. We ordered 2 specially rolls and 2 shrimp tempura rolls, for a total of $ 51 dollars. If you are looking for sushi that is slightly above gas station quality but doesn’t outshine your local grocery show, than this is your place! Took an hour to get all 4 rolls, and we watched them heat up the tempura in the microwave. Best advice is to stay away.

Great atmosphere and delicious food. General Tsao’s is very good here. So is the Tom yum soup. Fried rice was a little bland.

This is primarily based on bar service. First time going and the staff was incredibly friendly. We had originally gone to sit outside on the patio, but it would seem they are still doing some construction in the rear portion of turf valley– there was one of those big portable dumpsters nearby. It stank ass. So, we moved inside. Our bar tender was really cool, she goes by «Jlo» like… Jenny from the block. Turned out she’s the manager. Had a great time talking to her and trying her different drink creations. Happy hour prices are sweet. 3 – 5 bucks for small plates of appetizers. Perfect. Oooo there’s also a game you can play at the bar with bottle caps. If you figure out the picture message on the inside of the cap you get a free drink.

My friend and I decided to stop by Red Parrot because we found a deal. Upon entering there was a sign noting coupon users– show them to the server prior to ordering, tipping on the FULL amount of the check, etc. Once we were seated there was another sign. We were a little put off by all these signs as they seemed to be in a few places around the restaurant. Anyway, we did not find the host to be very welcoming when we walked in. We were verbally reminded of the coupon and to show our server once we were seated. We sat down and started looking through the menu… Around the 5 – 7 minute mark we wondered where the server was so we could ask about Happy Hour specials & order drinks. Upon asking about the HH specials the waiter flagged down someone else(woman), who informed us that the dining area had HH from 3−5pm and the bar had HH from 3 – 7. However, we could not use our coupon + get the happy hour specials. Man… What a let down. We decided to stay in the dining area and ordered drinks. I ordered the green-tea lemonade; when I took a sip or two it didn’t taste good, so I asked if I could get a different drink. The woman came back after I complained and made me a new drink that I enjoyed. The menu is expansive and we were a little overwhelmed, but decided to order sushi. I ordered the Alaska Roll and a chef special roll which had shrimp tempura and spicy tuna on top. The sushi was average. My friend enjoyed hers too. Our bill was about $ 70ish minus the $ 25 coupon we had. Overall it was an okay experience.

This place gives a very weak first impression. As you arrive at the host stand, there are hand printed signs advising you that if you are using a groupon or other type of deal you MUST tip on the total amount of the bill, that you can’t use a coupon for happy hour or ant specials, etc etc. Not an auspicious start to our meal, and as soon as we sat down we were asked if we were using a Groupon by the gruff and abrupt server. Enough already! Fortunately the food is better than the service. The menu covers the gamut of Asian cuisine, so we skipped between countries. The Vietnamese spring rolls were deep fried and tasty, although there was no crab in them as advertised, just ground pork. We both loved the seared ahi which was presented beautifully, but had a tad too much dipping sauce. Our spicy shrimp roll was anything but, so that went uneaten. The Singapore rice noodles started off tasting very bland, but as we got deeper into the dish the wonderful curry flavor shone through. Overall, a decent experience if you order correctly. The restaurant itself looks brand spanking new and gives off a very cool vibe. Next time I’m in the area we’ll stop by for happy hour. But remember you can’t use a groupon for that! :)

Finally tried the calamari. It was very salty. The husband agreed. The coconut spring roll had a very strong coconut flavor, which we liked. He tried the pineapple shrimp curry, cool presentation. He said it was pretty tasty, but not much curry. My duck Penang curry was still very good.

I came here yesterday for lunch with my coworker after a work seminar. I can honestly say the food and décor here is superb. Our waitress was very attentive to our needs and the food came out pretty fast. We ordered the lunch special so it came with a side of soup or salad. I ordered the drunken noodle with hot and sour soup and my coworker ordered peanut curry w/hot and sour soup and we ordered fried calamari for appetizer. The lunch portion was pretty big and the food was very good. The hot and sour soup was the best I’ve ever had but at $ 4 a bowl we were not going to order it separately. The calamari was a bit on the salty side but everything else was great.

Good service. Horrible management. The short of it is my husband ordered a drink that I didn’t care for. I sent the drink back via the server. Bad move. He came back saying no he can not send back. Initially I thought it was a language barrier which caused the discrepancy. I went to the hostess to bget the manager to resolve. Turns out the manager made the drink. I explained to her I didn’t like the drink. She said to me I can’t send it back because she made it how I liked it. I was shocked as she went into a soliloquy about ordering drinks in tall and long glasses. I advised her that well if it’s a problem cash me out and we will leave no problem. She recoiled as if I was wrong for being offended but still smiling. After much finger shaking at me she made another but I was apprehensive about drinking it. After that our waiter became more anxious to get us out of there. He asked were we done at least 6 times. My mom is 65 was I supposed to force the food and zap her drink into the air He placed the check on the table. No biggie but when I open it I see the«drink» was still on the bill. I looked up to signal the manger just to find her deep into another spat with a patron. Sadly I paid the entire bill but negated the tip. Honestly the food was good but service and the overall treatment was awful. Very disappointing had high hopes here.

I had the bulgogi yesterday and as soon as I saw it I regretted ordering it. It kinda tasted like really cheap beef that wasn’t marinated. I didn’t finish it and when I got home I threw the rest away. The smell was awful. The menu is too expansive and really they must focus on something instead of trying to sample all of Asia… I’ve had better meals at Panda Express. The being said the manager on duty spoke to the 2 ladies getting sushi behind me about the food but not once was I asked by her or my server how the food was. I was also never offered a refill on my drink. Service wasn’t bad but felt ignored. Not a clue who the server was but I did go around 4pm. I won’t be going to any Red Parrott again.

The only reason I went there was due to a groupon I bought. Big mistake! The first time I tried to use it was told couldn’t because of the holiday and when I said it didn’t say that on the groupon they said Oh Well! Than I should have just files a complaint with groupon but instead went again to give th another shot. They were rude about having the groupon and than said we couldn’t use it from our phone had to be a paper copy. Than after the owner came he said«I’ll take it this time but next time I won’t!!» Believe me there won’t be a next time!

Groupon really helps me decide on where I want to go. I’ve never heard of this place before but when I typed in Chinese into Groupon, I found Red Parrot and I’m so glad I did! It turns out, that my eyes are a little bigger than my stomach… I didn’t feel like we ordered a whole lot but when the food came out, the portions were giant. The egg drop soup was a little unique and it had to grow on me but by the end of the bowl, I wanted more. We ordered the mandarin chicken, vegetable lo mein, and the Massaman Curry. It was all sooooo good! The only reason I gave them 4 stars instead of 5 is the server was borderline rude when we first got there but she eventually warmed up to us but it made the initial experience kind of awkward. One more thing to mention… this place has an awesome happy hour!

Red Parrot has a Very Good Happy Hour at this location! It’s available in the dining area from 3 – 5 and the bar from 4 – 7 with so many things to choose from. I was able to enjoy Happy Hour which ran into the Thursday night football game. I ended up closing the place! This location is in the Turf Valley area near the golf coarse and the area is still being build up. Staff treated you like family and Jessica was great with suggestions of different sushi rolls along with other items on the Happy Hour menu. I will return this month before Thanksgiving!
