Do you ever have one of those days were the only thing that will make you feel better is retail therapy and sweets? I’m sure this just can’t be me. In the area running some errands, and I had a thought that ice cream would be the best dinner. Hey– don’t judge. Anywho, I checked out the Unilocal app, and this popped up with delicious reviews. Located in old town EC, which I didn’t realize initially. No worries, as most of the things I think of with the area didn’t apply here… you know wonky parking, paying for said parking… meh. Its address is Hamilton Street, but it is located in a small area with several cottage like business, Tonge Row. Totally cute and welcoming IMHO. There is one way in and one way into the area. Lots of parking available here folks, and it is free! At least, I didn’t see any place to pay. Scoopahhhdeedoo is basically a storefront, a window and such; you order from the window, and sit at the various tables they have or keep it moving. They have a great selection of ice creams, and sorbets. The price is fair considering the portion, and quality. I was bummed that they didn’t have the berger cookie, but that didn’t stop me from trying the chocolate fudge brownie. Yummerization all up and through. The chocolate was rich, and there were big chunks of brownie all throughout. Think like you need to take a couple of bites to get through them chunks. Just awesome. The service was great too, the young lady who took my order was just so cheerful, she had a smile from the time she approached the window until AFTER I was done. You really don’t see that often, and I swear she helped to brighten my day. It should also be noted that they share a window with River House Pizza, and from what I could see, that is a worth a trip back. They have a good deal going here — pizza and dessert. I’m def a fan and will certainly return, I got berger cookie to try man!

Fantastic ice cream! Unfortunately they were out of many favors, but it was a busy Saturday in downtown EC. We tried the vanilla and peanut butter cup, both fantastic. Lots of seating in the area. The girl who took our order was super friendly. I didn’t realize they also take orders at the same window for River House Pizza. The line was long and every time she had an ice cream order she had to stop taking orders and scoop. Seems like they could use an extra hand back there on the weekends so that one could take orders and the other could scoop. Looking forward to visiting again and hopefully trying some new flavors.

This place had me at Salty Pretzel! Great flavors… delicious combinations… outdoor seating by the little river… It’s a must do this summer! One deduction due to the ice cream being almost too soft. It was melting so quick, I had to eat fast.

People are super friendly, they’re open at great hours including Sunday nights when my ice cream cravings hit, and there is brick oven pizza available next door. What could be better? The ice cream flavors are creative and so delicious! My personal favorites are the key lime pie, super tart and the honey gram! Kudos for having cake cones!

Yeah I mean… It’s a good ice cream stand. What more can I say? I had 1 scoop pistachio and 1 scoop toasted coconut, both were delicious and the flavors actually complimented one another. The ice cream tasted authentic and fresh.

After being closed for what seemed like forever, they reopened this spring! Yayy! The ice cream is as good as I remember. A must-stop on any trip into Old Ellicott City… And it is near the free parking lot. Besides the occasional wait, everything is great. Just an FYI they don’t make their ice creams in house, delicious, but could be fresher!

This place has the best Key Lime ice cream! Sweet but not overly so with a powerful key lime taste. I love the graham cracker crust that is in there too. So good! I just wish they opened earlier in the Spring! Apparently not opening til late April or even May. Boo!

Good ice cream place. Easily addictive when they’re on their game. The flavors are unique and the ice cream is made locally which is a huge draw for me. I gave 3 stars because of the inconsistency. Sometimes the portions are really small and other times they’re heaping. When the tiny scoops happen I do feel like I’m getting ripped off considering the price. The other issue is I’ve had two occurrences where the ice cream was really icy instead of creamy which was pretty disappointing and not enjoyable. That being said I still go here because when its good it’s REALLY good. My suggestion is to straight up ask the person working if there’s any«icy» ice cream you should avoid and if the portion is too small ask for a little more.

Came here to get a quick yummy treat and I was very much pleased. After looking at some reviews I decided to get the Berger Cookie flavor(since that seems to be the most popular one) and my boyfriend got the Mint Chocolate Chip. Both were very sweet and worth it. My boyfriend thought his was more Chocolate Chip than anything but regardless it was delicious. They have little tables outside on the patio so its a cute little setup. However, it is a little pricy but still I definitely recommend it!

One word: amazing! The Berger cookie ice cream is out of this world. I would highly suggest trying this place if you can. I will probably be there once a week. I tried a sample of every flavor and I can honestly say I loved every single one.

We tried to get some ice cream at lunchtime about a week ago and there didn’t appear to be anyone working the window.

Celebrating National Ice Cream Day here was a great choice! They have delicious flavors, the Berger Cookie was highly recommended by other Unilocalers and they did not steer me wrong! The ice cream flavor is better than just a regular vanilla or cake batter and the cookie chunks are thick and fudgey– yum! I paired that scoop with my all time favorite mint chocolate chip and any place that serves white mint chocolate chip is a fan of mine. My boyfriend got the salty caramel which was a rich caramel color and the flavors were balanced and complimented each other perfectly, he paired that with dark chocolate peppermint which may sound funky but the dark chocolate wasn’t too strong so the minty flavors were able to come through… the color combination itself was pretty and the flavors tasty. Great location, tons of parking, and decent prices! The only thing keeping me from giving them 5 stars is their portion sizes, the 2 scoops is more like 1 scoop in a cup so had they given us two full scoops they would have received 5 stars. Regardless, it was definitely worth the trip on this national day of enjoyment.

Ice cream is pretty expensive relative to portion size, and there are a wide variety of flavors, but many of them were out when we visited. Ice cream was OK — not very rich or creamy and the flavors were okay, but not great. Given the level of ice cream in the region and the price, it’s fine for a local place, but isn’t a destination ice cream shop. Sorry for the 2 stars, but it really pales in comparison to other local shops; and the three 5-star reviews prior to ours led us to believe this place would be wonderful. Otherwise, I wouldn’t have reviewed. Pretty disappointed.

Ice cream is a little pricey but well worth it. Their salted caramel delivers on the sweet and salty take. The key lime tastes just like the pie. It has Graham crust, is creamy and tangy with lime all at the same time. If you are a fan of mangoes you have to try the mango sorbet.

We started coming here soon after they opened and are basically addicted. The ice cream is very high quality with delicious flavors at a reasonable price – only $ 2 for a single scoop cone. My favorite is the espresso chocolate chip, with mint chocolate chip as a close second. This is a great place to go on a warm summer evening to sit in the pretty courtyard with some friends and enjoy a locally made treat.

Adorable new storefront to grab a sugar or cake cone to walk down Main Street with! I parked my car in Lot D and noticed the new sign, so I stopped by and ordered a sugar cone. They carry Taharka Bros. hard ice cream and a few selections of sorbet so my lactose husband — sorry honey — can partake in the fun too. I had a generous scoop of Berger Cookie ice cream that was awesome — super mild vanilla ice cream with fudgie yummy pieces of BERGERCOOKIES inside! If you’ve never had this yummy local delicacy, a Berger cookie is like someone took a delicious shortbread vanilla cupcake with chocolate ganache frosting and smashed it flat. Awesome. They have Honey Graham, Key Lime, Strawberry, Salted Caramel and bunch of others I can’t wait to try on my next trip! It was only $ 2 for one scoop, $ 3 for two scoops and $ 4 for 3 scoops… at those prices I can afford to try them all! Much to the dismay of my hips, but hey, love takes sacrifice. It doesn’t look like there is the option to eat inside, but who would want to when there are so many nice places to sit nearby? They had a little bench and tables outside so I enjoyed my cone there. The ice cream was delicious and I will definitely be back as the weather warms up!
