Went today with husband and two visiting Florida friends. The award winning hamburger was delicious but really? $ 15.00 for a cheeseburger and fries. Fries weren’t even cooked and wimpy. Must be oven baked. Medium burger was overdone.

If you are in Ellijay, GA or any nearby town, co. e visit the 1907! We had the NY Strip with a wonderful chimmi-churri and veggies, the wedge, french onion soup and the pimiento chz burger. All prepared to perfection with respect to the natural flavors of the ingredients. At the end of our meal we wanted to shake the hand of the chef and the owner came out to meet us as well. They then treated us to a most delicious piece of cheesecake. These gentlemen know what they are doing. Kuddos to 1907!

we sat on the outside deck, service was terrible. Brought some bread to us that you could not even bite through. My wife had to send her $ 15 burger back because it was raw, and her baked potato was under cooked. The management of this establishment did not even come to our table after sending the food back. I guess there customers are not that important to them. I will never go back to this place and make sure none of my friends do either. Just a terrible experience.

Since the new owners have taken it over, the food is amazing. The place is so friendly, and makes you feel very welcomed. The prices are great for the level of food you get. I plan on making this a regular stop.

We really enjoyed our first visit to 1907. We went after meeting Nedra Harris at the Marriott bar in Atlanta on Thanksgiving. We spilt the chicken sliders. They portioned our meal into two bowls. The sliders were amazing, but the grits stole the show! The second time we went, we wanted to get the lamb shank, but it was sold out. So we shared the chicken sliders again. This time, it came out in one bowl and I was given a small bread plate on which to dish my portion onto. We were also given, essentially, a raw carrot. I couldn’t cut it at all and gave up trying to eat it with my meal. Furthermore, we received a dirty look from the cook when he came out of the kitchen. The portion is large. There’s plenty of food for two people. If sharing is an issue, please charge us, but don’t sulk while I’m eating. It’s rude. The wait service is excellent. We look forward to going back and trying other items on the menu.

Dropped in for a late lunch and a few beers with a group of 10. Place wasn’t very busy bet the waitress/hostess said that they we understaffed and running behind. Only place to a was outside even after I suggested we split into two tables of 5. Luckily it was sunny so we went outside. Got the distinct impression we were not welcome. Ordered drinks. They were out of a couple of beer selections and one ordered was flat. With such an unfriendly reception we decided to eat elsewhere. Especially when our server took a smoke break while still serving us!!!

Recently we had dinner at 1907 to say I was disappointed is a understatement. The food was terrible and the service, ok at best. They made it sound like the Chef was some culinary rock star, but that is far from the truth. There were 4 of us and we all ordered different things and out of the 4 people did not even eat their food. The Owner or Mgr, I was not sure which he was, came over and we voiced I displeasure. H offered to remake the food and we declined. Even though he comped our dinner, I would not waste the time to go back. It was better before it was taken over by new owners.

We came here for New Years Eve — and it was a set menu of 5 courses. It was amazing, the Chef is authentic French trained, and it showed! The staff, portions, quality we’re impeccable and highly recommend coming here again. For such a small town, Ellijay has quite an incredible French restaurant — not sure if the locals know what a gem then possess? Highly recommend coming here for: — Date nights /Romantic evenings — Celebrations(Bdays, anniversary, going away parties, out of town’rs) — Whenever you want a GOOD French meal and perfectly cooked steak! If you were on the fence previously to reading this — book a reservation at 1907… you have my word, you won’t be disappointed!

Ellijay really needed a place like this. Good for date nights and birthdays. All the food we had was good. Portions are a bit small bit we were full afterword so I can’t complain. Try the firecracker shrimp appetizer!

This place deserves three and a half stars. In general, I didn’t have anything special. That being said, everything we had was good. Their drink menu doesn’t have any cocktails on it, although they have full bar and they can make any drink you would request. I was happy to try something different than just beer and wine but the drink I ordered was very light and I barely tasted alcohol in it. We had shrimp for a start. We enjoyed that a lot. I ordered a burger and my wife ordered salmon. My burger was cooked exactly as I requested with fresh vegetables on the top. However, it was not salted or seasoned at all. So if you like your food seasoned like me, it would be a good idea to mention that to your server. The burger comes with fries and the portion was absolutely perfect. Salmon is cooked with lobster sauce over delicious risotto. That was my favorite dish of all. There is a front porch upstairs where you can have drinks or eat with a nice view over the main street. The restaurant needs few tweaks in my opinion such as a menu with more variety of starters, menu for cocktails, easier way for servers to go up and down the stairs, and finally play music or do something about the echo upstairs. Our server was attentive and sweet. Ellijay needs a place like this and I would definitely come back to sit at the bar or try new dishes.

I can’t say enough good things! Came in at a slow time on a Saturday, sat at the bar; Andrew the bartender was wonderful! The Bloody Mary was DELICIOUS. We ate the firecracker shrimp which were perfect and the goat cheese salad absolutely blew us away! So much flavor and I’ve never had goat cheese fried like that; I was expecting a typical salad with goat cheese but this was far from typical. You have to try it! And if you like bourbon make sure to try an old old fashioned. I’m just sorry we didn’t have rom for desert!

The ambiance was nice but our food was disappointing. My husband’s burger was overcooked(we’re pretty sure it was a pre-made patty) and my pork and green beans didn’t have any flavor. Dined here for lunch, maybe dinner is better?

This is our favorite place in Elijay AND Blue Ridge combined. Everything we have had at 1907 has been amazing. Things we’ve tried: FRIEDGREENTOMATOES: Favorite ever! Perfectly fried, goat cheese on top, horseradish dipping sauce The Trout: with grits and green beans — all the flavors work perfectly together The Burger: with a beloved fried green tomato on top — it’s the kind of burger you don’t feel«gross» after eating Chicken Salad: smoked and yummy

Very limited menu as we each only found one entrée we would eat. For the price, limited portions, and nothing worth bragging. Our waitress was very nice which made the dinner not a total loss. We were the ‘only’ people eating during dinner hours in the entire restaurant on our visit. I would not recommend as a first option although the ambiance is very nice for Ellijay which is very limited and deprived on decent or fine dining with very good good. In retrospect, and in all fairness, this eatery has tremendous potential in my opinion.

Found this place while looking for a previous business at this location. Did a day trip out to Elijay and was looking for a lunch spot. This is in downtown Elijay and is in a cool old building. Staff were super friendly and accommodating to me, since I’m in a cast. Made sure I was comfortable. Started out with deviled eggs with country ham. Nothing amazing about them, they were good deviled eggs. I could have done without the country ham on them, actually. I couldn’t decide what to order(shocking, I know) and went with the suggestion for the bacon wrapped meatloaf, made from waygu beef. It had a mushroom reduction sauce and mashed potatoes. It was good. Nothing I would crave but it was tasty. I overheard someone order mac & cheese but didn’t see it on the menu. Server said it was on the children’s menu but I could order it as a side. Um yeah! It’s mac & cheese. That should always be an option. Came in a cute little crock and had bacon sprinkled all over it. I’m pretty much a mac & cheese purist. I don’t need added elements. Just give me the M&C. The bacon was good, but there was too much of it for my taste. Now the mac & cheese was a tad disappointing. It wasn’t so cheesy as it was mostly just a bechamel sauce with a light flavoring of cheese. That’s not mac & cheese, that’s just a pasta dish. See, cheese is in the name of the dish so to me, it should be downright cheesy. It also needed some salt. It wasn’t bad, just not what I would consider mac & cheese. Overall I really liked this place and the ambiance. I would like to go back and try some other dishes. It’s worth a stop in this cute little downtown area and looks like they have delish cocktails.

I’ve been here twice and plan to get back again soon. I love the southern inspired menu with a modern twist. The staff are very attentive and friendly! And the chef is very well seasoned and loves to get feedback from the diners. He looks to always exceed to a new level and I love that! I had the smoked trout and it’s amazing! The atmosphere is nice and they have a great bar! I would stop by just for a drink or a great lunch or dinner. Keep up the good work guys!!! We need more restaurants like you here in Ellijay.

Oh PLEASE leave the chain restaurants and the frozen pizza at home and get yourself out to this fabulous local gem! I’ve eaten here twice, and without a doubt, my meal led me to immense distraction for weeks after! My entrée was one of the best things I have eaten in ages and I’m including multitudes of chef-owned atlanta area meals. Smoked local trout, cooked whole and infused with lemons and capers and tiny tomatoes. All conversation came to a STOP as each of us became utterly enthralled with our meal. The staff was highly personable and make us feel like we were the vips of the evening. We’ll be back and then some. Again, I kid you not when I say their smoked whole trout is one of the best entrees I have ever eaten. Ever. Everything on the menu is top notch. Excellent, excellent local eats.

Upscale without being pretentious. Well executed dishes. Finally!!! Beets that tasted as delicious as beets can taste. Red and Gold Beet salad was very flavorful. I had the chicken and dumplings. Satisfying herb laced sauce, very tender chicken. I found the dumplings a tad tough. My husband had the wagyu meatloaf. AMAZING! I kept sneaking bites off his plate! Each of us paired with a local beer on draught. Can’t wait to come back.
