Really enjoyed this place. They have a variety of different foods for a very good price. It was some of the best fried chicken I ever had. Nice and crispy on the outside moist and juicy on the inside(they do have a rotisserie chicken option). Food was hot good and fast. Very large portions for a good price. Sitting is pretty good. Definitely will be my new lunch spot.

Tried their ¼ white chicken + 2 sides(mac&cheese and salad) – it was so yummy! The chicken meat was so tender and fell right off the bones. Mac and cheese was also delicious – cheesy and not over salted. The taste of the mac and cheese really balanced out and paired well with the taste of the chicken. Their salad was also fresh and the crumbled cheese on top of it was a amazing. Portions are large and I only paid $ 7. I even had leftovers for dinner :) Highly recommend this place!

I eat this any time I’m in the area and even if I’m not I still travel for it. The hot wings are mainly why. I’m addicted. I noticed the price has gone up but hopefully it doesn’t because I would hate to break my pockets coming for it. They serve a variety of different foods(Chinese, Hispanic, American) in one little restaurant. It’s worth it.

For me, this place is a gem in the area. Not only do they serve some pretty awesome chicken, but the also offer fresh fruit and vegetable juices. If you are familiar with the area, then you know how hard it can be to find decent healthy food. Being on a juice fast, I was successfully able to quench my dietary needs within the confines of this one great restaurant. And yes, I have also eaten the food here as well. Their chicken is always fresh and tender and their sides are well prepared and since the turnover is so high, you know they are no more than an hour old.

I used to order delivery here on the regular. I haven’t ordered take out or delivery in awhile but I still like Chickenfest. I usually order the fried chicken meal. You get 2 pieces of chicken(rotisserie or fried) and 2 sides. I like to get the white meat meal with mac and cheese and salad. It’s good and cheap!

I frequent this place for lunch 2 – 3 times a week. Its the only place i can find a good grilled chicken salad. Their chicken tastes great no matter which way you have it — grilled/rotisserie/cutlet/fried/hot wings Their other main dishes seem pretty popular, the chef seems pretty consistent with cooking really tastey food. I wasnt feeling well one week and tried the chicken and rice soup — really good. All their soups are homemade as well. This is not the type of place i would eat-in at though. There is no privacy, its very out in the open type seating.

I probably would not make a special 45-minute trip from home to come here. But for employees of Elmhurst Hospital, this place is pretty freakin awesome. The neighborhood is predominantly hispanic and it’s rare to see anything but authentic spanish street food. Chicken Fest caters to a more American palate and has the creamy mac&cheese to back this up. I’ve only been here twice but I’m definitely going back before my rotation ends at the hospital. I ordered a fajita the first time I went, stereotyping the neighborhood’s specialty cuisine. But I later realized the café-style restaurant specializes in everything. People come for the fried chicken, the roasted chicken, the fresh juices, the rice, the mashed potatoes, and even for the people who work there. I later tried their chicken with spinach and mac&cheese on the side. It was a very Boston Market thing to do. But I very, very much enjoyed how rich and homemade it tasted. Oh what the hell, I may actually make the 45-minute trip one spontaneous day just to try other things on their menu. Ooh, big portions too.
