Awesome pizza. Great friendly place. Just what was needed in this neighborhood. Owner is in there slinging pies and still makes time to talk to every guest. Big thumbs up!

The best pizza in Elmhurst! So amazing! I’m giving 4 stars because I wish they delivered to where I live and the one time I ordered a onion pepper pie, it wasn’t good. The onions and peppers were thrown on top of a plain pie so everything wasn’t baked together and the peppers were huge. Didn’t enjoy this pizza, but the plain pie is the way to go & it’s only $ 12!

I’ve only ever had delivery. The staff on the phone are GREAT, delivery is always fast, and if they are busy and it will take time they warn you. I only have ever gotten a pepperoni pie delivered, so that’s all I know about this place, but it’s a great pie. Old school New York pizza, but good quality, not doughy, good crisp crust, high quality. This place is modest in its appearance, but don’t pass it up– best pizza in Jackson Heights(though admittedly, that’s not saying much for JH.)

Im literally writing this review as i drive away with a margerita pie sitting in the back seat. Called in and ask for a pie to be pick up. Guy on the other line«yes will be ready in 15 mins» hangs Up. Im like wait dont you need my name?! Gets there. Walk– in Guy from phone«margarita pizza ready soon!» Me: :in shock: how?! What?! I didnt even say hello! Howd he know?! Brownie points right there! Guy: heres your margerita pizza with fresh basil. Tells me more about his pizza vs supomni garden(since i told him from bk) I ask«whats your name» Guy«louie» Me: wow hes the owner! I havent tried the pie yet but i can tell from the owners efficiency, friendliness, and personable personality that I love supporting small businesses! Louie, I will be back to try your grandma slices!

As a recent transplant to the area, I’ve been searching for my favorite slice of pizza. Louie’s has hit the spot! His pizza is amazing and tastes like fresh and real ingredients were used in the process. I was scared off at first by a review that said the pizza was very oily. Well I know now from first hand experience that it was as oily as any slice should be! I will definitely be making this my main pizza spot.

Though I live close by, I’d only been here once when they opened, just for a quick slice. Came here on Wednesday afternoon with a friend, based on the Unilocal reviews. So glad we did! The counter staff(perhaps Louie himself?) was very attentive and friendly. There was a lot going on between other customers, deliveries getting prepped to go out, and food being made to order, but this didn’t slow anyone down! I got the penne arrabiata with chicken, plus garlic knots. My friend got a Caesar salad, pepperoni roll, and a slice of the buffalo chicken pizza. With a couple of the bottled sodas, the total was maybe $ 30. But: So. Much. Food! This would last me for days! Everything tastes delicious, and the staff was helpful in getting me a to-go box. I would definitely return. I gotta try that steak on the menu!

Love the eggplant parmigiana plate! We’ve been ordering delivery for quite awhile now and this is my go to dinner meal. The portions are huge! I share half of this with my preschooler and toddler and I still have the other half to eat later! Hubby gets the chicken parmigiana hero.

It is good to find a good pizza place around Jackson Heights /Elmhurst area. I have ordered here several times for class pizza parties. Their pizzas have the perfect amount of sauce, cheese and crust. The prices are also very reasonable at $ 12 for a plain pie and $ 14 for a pepperoni pie. They have also always delivered on time or earlier which is important because of our hectic schedule. The only downside is that they are always very busy when I call. Nevertheless they were always accommodating and the orders are always correct and timely.

I reserve the fifth star for only the superb, but for the affordability, casual atmosphere and Hot Louie, I will continue to eat here every doctor’s visit(being since the hospital is next door). Well done on choosing the pizzeria’s location.

5 stars for Louie, the magnificent food and prices! If you see a friendly, energetic young guy with a twinkle in his eye, it’s probably Louie. He is very welcoming as you enter his shop. May I suggest that you eat here so you can eat(scarf) your food while it’s hot. Now onto the food! Grandma slice $ 3 Got this fresh off the oven. Bottom was a tiny bit crunchy, dough was nice and soft. The tomatoes and basil were fragrant as I bit into the yummy goodness. Pesto agnolotti $ 12 A big plate of spinach and ricotta stuffed pasta with pesto sauce made as you order. It was so hot I almost burned my mouth. Lol. The pesto sauce was divine. I wasn’t too crazy about the pasta itself, but only because I’m not a fan of ricotta. So much pasta! Girls with smaller appetites won’t finish it. Steak $ 20 My brother to me, knowing I have an ehh relationship with beef: «This is so good, you must try!» And try, I did. Tender and flavorful, the steak was indeed wonderful. He even said it’s better than outback’s. Pasta substitution for steak $ 2 It’s a whole plate of penne or linguini in red sauce. Pasta was al dente, sauce was flavorful enough to make it tasty but not too much that it overpowered the steak. My brother who isn’t a big fan of pasta finished the whole plate. So, dear Louie, I’ll be back! :)

Devoid of glamour, Louie’s looks like a safe bet for plain slices but the Unilocal affirmations convinced me to try pasta. The penne arrabiata was more complex than usual. I can’t tell if it was by the book but it was excellent. I also like the grandma slice featuring fresh mozzarella.

Couldn’t find parking and had to double-park. A guy outside asked me if i was picking up. I said yeah and he told me to wait in the car so i wouldn’t get a $ 115 ticket… The hood has great food with cheap prices. But it’s a trade-off for non-existent service… Louie’s is the exception. Cause the guy who went to get my pie was Louie himself I believe… Pretty good pizza here at a very fair price. The only thing is that the pizza is really oil. Definitely get some extra napkins to blot off the excess, Still good pizza though and I will no longer go to Gino’s on Broadway because their prices are ridiculously expensive…

Note: I was watching«Mystic Pizza»(1988) on a frigid January night, which may or may not have played into my pizza desires and the expectations from Louie’s. Anyway, hopped on Unilocal in search of an option and found Louie’s at the end of my block. I took a frigid walk, and was greeted by Louie himself. Picked up two slices of Grandma(thanks, Unilocal!) and was on my way(and only $ 7 poorer! Not bad!) Rushed home and dove in. Solid pizza, filling, perfect crust(and I NEVER eat the crust). I’m so happy to know this is nearby! Go to Louie’s if you call Elmhurst(or anywhere NYC) home!

Definitely the best slice in the neighborhood, and quite possibly the best slice in Queens. They’ve got their slices down to an art form. Thin, crispy crust with just enough chewiness. Probably the first time that I’ve tasted a crust that was equally as tasty as the pizza itself. Perfect amount of tomato sauce and cheese as well. My favorite has to be the margherita slice. The cheese they use for their margherita pie is amazing. Just enough saltiness that compliments the tomato sauce perfectly. Extremely friendly staff. Louie’s the man. Five stars for everything. Tip: Get the pizza warm if you’re eating it immediately or in the restaurant, hot if you’re getting it to-go.

My girl and I tried this place for the 1st time yesterday. After seeing all the pics on Unilocal… we ordered a GrandMa Pie to go… It was pretty good. Not the best grandma slice but pretty good. Thought the crust was a bit thick for a grandma slice… Anyway, we plan to try out a few more things next time

Their pizza is fresh, hot, and delicious. Had the grandma slice. The crust was amazing. Some other grandma’s I’ve had, the crust would be soggy from too much sauce or just too chewy. The slice here got it just right. Not too much sauce, just the right amount of cheese, and the crust was perfectly crisp. Will definitely be back!

I’ve been here a couple of times, normally for take out, once for delivery and dining in. We ordered a whole Grandma pie for delivery, it was massive. Everyone loved it, but I think it was a lil too much for me. We’ve ordered the agnolotti pesto a couple of times, its really rich and flavorful. I’ve never eaten it all by myself, but even if I could, someone would’ve grabbed some from me. That’s probably everyone’s fav. I tried the Black Linguine Seafood once and we didn’t really care for it. I guess it’s just a bit bland when compared to the Agnolotti. Great prices, friendly owner.

Why am I only finding out about this gem??? I am born and raised in Jackson Heights and somehow this place flew by radar unnoticed. Looking from the outside, this place doesnt really catch your attention. However, once I walked in I knew they were something special. Firstly, the front man was VERY welcoming and kind. This pizzeria differs from others that I’ve visited because they have a nice dining area where you can enjoy your food whereas other places have you standing or only have 1 – 2 tables available. We were easily able to seat 7 people in my party. I had to order the food at the register but that was fine with me. I ordered a corner slice sicilian and a chicken cesar salad. Others in my group ordered the following: eggplant parm hero, white slice, green salad, penne a la vodka and plain slice. I TASTEDEVERYTHING and EVERYTHING was PHENOMENAL. The front man even asks you what temperature you want the pizza; medium or hot! Amazing! To those reading: I have a lot to compare this place to because I am a pizza fanatic. Prior to this visit, I would have pizza regularly at places like Joe’s Pizza, Rubirosa, Keste, Danny’s in Queens and Lucali’s and Julianna’s in Brooklyn. I use to think the traditional slice was better at Joe’s but life has since changed. LOUIE’S ISWAYBETTER. What’s even better is that its located right here in Jackson Heights! I cannot wait to return and eat there again. I definitely recommend this place for your traditional cheese slice. WORTHIT.

DEcent Pizza, Grandma is the safest way to go. I got unlucky with the black linguini seafood. Definitely not homemade, pasta was sticky and bland. Don’t expect seafood to be sautéed together on anchovy butter with the pasta. Sea food was fresh but disconnected from the pasta. Maybe that was my problem because of my high expectations. Attention was great.

I miss living in Queens! Just stopped by on my way to cover the World Series and I was in and out in a New York minute. The pasta is clutch and the pizza is clutch(get the grandma slice), you can’t lose. Every time I’m in here I’m treated like family– what more can you ask for? Shout out to Louie for the Lithuanian shot, I’ll catch you guys next time!

Have to give an update. My most recent trips to Louie’s have all very very very disappointing to say the least, because it was hard for me trying the pizzas as I have been officially hooked by the pasta! I kept on thinking that I will get the pizza on my next visit but I keep failing miserably. Anyhow, sorry(or not so sorry) for the misleading intro. Here’s what I have tried so far: 1. Black linguine with seafood — 4⁄5 — large portion, very filling, not a big fan of the imitation crab 2. Chicken with Crab Meat with linguine substitute — 5⁄5 — love love love the buttery flavor, the linguine tastes fresh, again large portion 3. Chicken Francese with linguine — 5⁄5 — the acid and buttery flavor complements each other another solid dish Now.will for sure get the pizza on my next trip … or not… and I’ll fail all over again.

This place is awesome. Went there today since its my neighbor. First of all, i have to say that im not a fan of pizza but this place got me. The foods were so delicious. We ordered Black linguini seafood, chicken fettucini alfredo, rib eye steak and 2 slices of pizza. Never get disappointed from this place. Service is excellent as always! I love how close Louie’s is to my place of employment because when I’m working late and getting HANGRY, I can always count on getting a huge pile of delicious comfort food at Louie’s. First– the grandma slice is everything it proclaims to be and better. Snagging a corner piece is a good move since you get even more of the delicious crisp edges. I also like the regular slices, especially the white slice. The chicken parm hero is comically large, as in it is always a two meal portion and sometimes three. The chicken pieces are giant. The sandwich is delicious. Sadly, the eggplant parm suffers from not being fried(I think; otherwise, I just got a soggy eggplant). Minus one star because I love eggplant parm and Louie’s doesn’t quite cut it. Can’t wait to come and try the homemade pastas! I have a string of night shifts coming up so I am excited to eat myself into a food coma.

I grew up in Queens but it’s been a long time since I’ve been home. I brag to my friends at New York city is the only place the world if you can get a decent slice of pizza. I went back home because a reputation not tested has no value. Louie’s pizza did not let me down. it was the best slice of cheese pizza I’ve had since I left home 13 years ago. I would have given it 5 stars if my Sicilian wasn’t cold or lukewarm rather. Also Jackson Heights is very busy it took me a couple of times around the block to find parking. other than that I would be happy to go back to Louie’s. Growing up I didn’t remember having acces so Hawaiian pizzas or veggies maybe some garlic knots but not fresh pasta. Louie’s restaurant has all of that too. Next time I go back I might give that a try.

I love going to places where the owners are super cool. I have been here a bunch of times over the years and Louie has always been very friendly and courteous with me. I also like that it’s a family operation since he works at the restaurant with his dad and a few employees. The pizzeria is a low key place, a standard looking pizzeria but it’s a pizzeria that happens to have really awesome homemade pasta, Ribeye Steaks as well as really well made pizza. I have been here on several occasions and grabbed really good food while watching the Rangers or some baseball on TV. I love that this place is not too far from me and I enjoy the walk over since parking can be a pain. The food: Agnolotti Pesto– The picture pretty much says everything you need to know about this dish, it looks as awesome as it taste. The pasta is homemade, it’s so fresh, light and tender. The pasta sauce has so much flavor, the pesto is nicely flavored but it is on the rich side and it doesn’t give you the greatest breath but who cares! It’s so good! lol The cheese and spinach stuffing pair really well with the pesto. This is a must get and the prices are really fair. Agnolotti Arrabiata– It’s like the spicy cousin of the version above. I thought this was great, it had such a pop of flavor. It does have a spicy kick since it is a spicy tomato sauce and there are chopped up jalepenos in it. I really enjoyed it but it’s hard to beat a creamy pesto =) I say try both and you won’t be disappointed, or try one depending on your mood. lol Grandma– I think this is a really good Grandma slice. The ingredients are very different from what you get at other pizzerias. You can actually see and taste the difference in the ingredients they use here. They use crushed tomatoes, they have slices of mozzarella as opposed to grated, you can see actual chunks of basil and to top it off, there is a wonderful crunchy bottom. I am a fan. Black Linguine Seafood– homemade black linguine with the use of calamari ink with clams, crab, shrimp and calamari. Sure, squid ink pasta is exactly what you would expect to see at a pizzeria lol I thought this dish was great, the linguine was so fresh and tender. The seafood was prepared nicely and the sauce was super tasty and tied everything together nicely. Ribeye Steak with roasted potatoes and carrots. Sure, Ribeye Steak is exactly what you would expect to see at a pizzeria(Yes, I said it twice). I thought the steak had great flavor and it was cooked to a nice medium, the roasted potatoes had a nice outer crush and the carrots were nicely flavored and tender. The flavor of the steak was great, my only gripe, I do wish it was a tad more tender. Chicken w/Crab Meat with Mustard Sauce and Pasta– I really wasn’t sure what to expect from this dish since it was a chicken dish with crab meat but it was so freakin good. I also give extra points since I am not a fan of chicken breast but the chicken breast here was so tender and juicy. Then the mustard sauce with the crab meat was great, it had actual pieces of crab. There was a nice crab flavor throughout the dish. Homemade Fettuccine, Bolognese– It’s a meat sauce with homemade Fettuccine. I really liked this dish, it really does taste like a grandmother made it. The meat sauce has great flavor and the noodles taste very different, in a good way, compared to dried pasta, it is a very noticeable difference. Margarita– I thought the flavor of the margarita was great, they use the fresh sliced mozzarella and basil and I do like it, but I do like the grandma more. The grandma slice is special.

Grandma Pizza, Margherita Pizza, and the Black Linguine Seafood was amazing!!! The word I would describe my encounter with Louie’s Pizza is… serendipity. I was just taking a walk around Jackson Heights with the intention of only getting bubble tea and tacos. As I was making my way to my taco truck, I passed by Louie’s. I was immediately attracted to the smell of fresh out of the oven pizza. Ever since I was a kid, pizza has been my favorite comfort food. No brainer, I wanted it right there and then! I ordered my two favorite styles of pizza: Grandma and Margherita(I really could not choose!). The Grandma slice was the best! Fresh ingredients and it had the right amount of pizza dough, tomato sauce, and cheese, just the way I like it! It was perfect in my book! Margherita slice was also pretty good! I would highly recommend both to serious pizza lovers like myself. Black Linguine with Seafood was a delight! I have never eaten black-colored pasta before and it sounded interesting to me, so I ordered it. It did not disappoint me! The pasta tasted homemade and it is made with love! It has been a while since I had such a flavorful seafood pasta and this dish went above and beyond my expectations! I also loved the generous amount of fresh clams and shrimps it came with! I was so surprised! I am curious to why the linguine is black! I will definitely come back to get this again to investigate further. Mr. Louie was such a gentleman! He welcomed me at the door, updated me on when my food is ready, and interested in striking up a conversation with anyone. I loved that he knew a lot of his regular customers’ name and it tells you something if they keep coming back too! The staff was also very friendly, they are all very well-mannered! When I finally looked on Unilocal,it did not surprised me that this spot got nearly perfect ratings — it is well deserved! Louie’s Pizza, I’m in love with you and I will be back very soon! You may have just become my favorite pizzeria! P. S. I’m that Passionfruit Bubble Tea girl. :)

Louie’s Pizza is a real gem in this neighborhood. I’ve been meaning to try this place for quite some time now and finally decided to visit our old neighborhood on my wife’s birthday. We came in for lunch since we both have work later in the afternoon. Upon entering the pizzeria, we were greeted by Louie himself. He’s a real kind gentleman. Immediately, I had to order the ribeye. My aunt works right across the street at Elmhurst Hospital and says their ribeye steak is legit and indeed it was! I ordered their agnolotti pasta for myself and shared a grandma slice with my wife. Ribeye — Tender and super duper juicy. Nicely seasoned, full of savory mouth watering flavors. In a taste test, this steak can easily beat some steak houses and diners. We parked our car on Broadway because we didn’t expect to find any parking on Baxter ave and the time limit was only an hour. I was really surprised to see my wife finish 15 minutes before the meter ran up. If you’re ordering the steak, I highly suggest you dine in and enjoy it. Agnolotti — Delicious pasta stuffed with ricotta cheese and spinach in creamy pesto sauce with a side of bread. I’ve read some reviews about the agnolotti and notice some people calling it «bland». I must disagree. The agnolotti was incredibly tasteful. The leftover pesto sauce went very well with the bread and the pasta was heavenly. Was it heavy? Yeah but in a good way. I personally think this pasta was very well executed. If people are complaining about this being a heavy pasta, I can’t imagine how they feel about fettuccine alfredo. Grandma slice — Hands down, the best grandma slice I ever had in my life! NOLIE! Ingredients taste rich and fresh and the crust is to die for. It’s not soggy or doughy at all. Louie really serves a good grandma slice here. They put other famous grandma slices to shame. Beverages — Ordered two Stewarts, 1 root beer and 1 orange and cream. Verdict — Louie’s is a really good spot on the low. I don’t think much people know about them. They serve up some really good stuff out of their kitchen. It’s NOT typical pizzeria joint or some whack pizza shop next to a hospital stereotype, its a LEGIT pizzeria in Elmhurst/Jackson Heights. I’ll certainly be back again. Walking down Baxter ave today was a real blast in the past. Huge thumbs up to Louie and his entire staff for bringing authentic Italian cuisine to this block.
