Ugh not for me! The staff was great. So welcoming and sweet. She asked me if it was my first time and walked me through it. It wasn’t expensive either. And the ambience was good. I liked the place. I did not like the pizza though. I don’t know if it was the sauce or the ingredients they used but it just wasn’t good quality pizza.

Good service — cool environment. Nothing special about the pizza. Had the Buffalo chicken, wife had marguerite. I can think of 5 better pizza places in Elmhurst.

The last time we went there, the employee used the wrong type of cheese, forgot to add an ingredient and barely put enough chicken on my pizza. Normally this wouldn’t be an issue because you get to choose your own ingredients and toppings. However, I had ordered one of their specialty pizzas that have a set list of ingredients. Pretty amateur move by that one employee. Oh well I’ll probably keep going there, its still not bad pizza most of the time.

Pretty good! This is my 1st time trying a pizza place like this. I’m a very picky eater so being able to watch them make the pizza and control the amount of toppings used(cheese/sauce, etc) was magnificent for me!!! We ordered the Windy city pizza & a Pepperoni/Mushroom pizza. Hubby added the magic dust on his(parmesean cheese, oregano, & other junk) HEHATEDITLOL. He said it made his pizza salty. My pizza was pretty good!!! I got easy cheese & extra sauce which was delicious. I had the Artisian crust & spicy marinara which was yummers! It took only a few mins for the pizza to come out. They both were hot & fresh. It was $ 19 bucks for 2 pizzas & pops. Which I guess isn’t that bad. I enjoyed it & I’d definitely go back. I didn’t have any issues, the workers were friendly & helpful. I would like to try the competition before returning.

Better food and service across the street at Mod Pizza. There’s plenty of fast pizza places popping up-skip this one. Cashier was rude, organization is pitiful and pizza is just average.

Pie five gets a five star from me!!#!! To me the most important part about a pizza is the crust and the crust was really good. I love the fact that I have the choice to add whatever topping and done in a short time. I took a friend with me and they loved it as well. Piefive is now my favor pizza spot, just need a location by my home!!! The elmust location has a great team I enjoy my short time with them

First I want to say I love pizza so I had high hopes for this. But it is basically the McDonald’s of the pizza world. The menu is vast with lots of choices. Prices are fair with healthy and tasty beverage choices. Try the ginger peach tea! Flavor on the two pizzas I tried was utterly lacking. Chicken carbonara and the margarita pizza were rather bland and I exciting. When I eat pizza I expect the flavors to dance on my taste buds. I paid around 19 dollars for two pizzas and two drinks. I might try one more time. If unimpressed will go else where … Like McDonald’s. Potbelly is across the street.

Pie Five should be renamed Pie Two… because that’s what I think of this 2 star pizza. Let the record show, when it comes to pizza, I’m a LOVER — not a fighter. I try to find SOMETHING good on SOME level. Searching high & low. I could not find anything to like about this pizza. Nada. Zero. Zippo. None. Niente.(that’s Italian for ‘nothing’). My gut told me not to expect much walking in(& happened to be correct walking out too). I was in the area, stopped next door for a buy one get one free bundtlet email promo… and…My sister & I needed a quick bite. We were hungry for real food, not dessert… and this was convenient. A friend gave me a slice from here once, awhile back and I wasn’t impressed. Thought maybe I’d have a better experience dining in. Upon placing my order, the very friendly girl behind the counter suggested I try the Classic pan. She mentioned it was popular too… I chose the marinara sauce with spinach & half mushrooms and half sausage for my sister. I watched as she made the pizza… which looked kinda small vs the artisan thin… more of a personal size… I was asked if I wanted ‘magic dust’, and said why not, but requested on the side(never did end up using it). In retrospect, maybe if I had used this magical dust, my pizza would have whisked me away. The interior looked well kept and tables were clean. The guy that rang me up was super nice too… As far as customer service goes, no doubt they deserve 5 stars here… the place was empty and I enjoyed chatting with these workers… they were so personable, initiating conversation naturally and that never goes unnoticed by me… Pizza was ready in what felt like 6 minutes… but when I got it, it was room temp. I don’t know what it is with me getting served less than warm food lately,(Kuma’s cold burger), but I must be on a roll… Apparently, I shouldn’t take this personally as some reviews have mentioned the pizza being on the ‘cold side’. It looked as though the pizza was taken out of the oven as soon as the cheese was JUST melted. Dough was cooked through, but it was so mediocre and blah to me… you get more gluten from a $ 8 Hot-n-Ready. The sauce was too sweet. Everything about this pizza screamed sub par ingredients. From the crust, to the sauce, cheese and non-veggie toppings… Sure, the pizza here is cheap, and that’s what your getting!!! The two slices I ate, was quite enough. Thank you… Yes, it is most definitely like the«Subway» of Pizza’s, with the assembly line of fast, ‘pick your toppings’. But even Subway produces a better product and when you expect it hot, you get it that way…(yes, I realize I’m not comparing apples to apples here, but you get the picture.). Pizza should never be served cold(or a burger for that matter) unless your grabbing it out of your fridge. As far as FAST pizza chains go… I think I’m good without ‘em… There’s a plethora of better pizza to be had, and I’m saving my taste buds for them. For excellent customer service and MEH pizza… Pie five gets a three star review.

For being a 5 min pizza joint. This is good — fresh — reasonable — quick, even for reheating. They say try your own. I suggest asking them what is there favorite.

This place is faster than MOD during the lunch rush. I also enjoy the crust at pie five over MOD. They have ricotta cheese and MOD does not. MOD can do pesto as the base sauce for your pizza but pie five only offers it as a drizzle at the end. I’d say they are pretty close with prices and size but the staff at pie five triumphs in friendliness.

I decided to try Pie Five because I had both a coupon and a gift card, and tho I’d been to another location once, I hadn’t yet tried the Elmhurst shop. Everyone was SUPER friendly and incredibly helpful. The gentleman who put the finishing touches on my pizza even struck up a conversation that didn’t feel forced. The pizza was out quickly, it was hot, tasty and fresh. I found the price fair, and love all the choices and the ability to make modifications. I’m sure that next time I’m craving a quick pizza in Elmhurst I’ll stop back in. Thanks!

I really like Pie Five — it’s quick, tasty, and their combo deal is great. We’ve come here several times now and always had a good meal. The people who assemble the people are great and patient. The people plating the pizza and ringing up don’t always have the greatest customer service skills. I haven’t tried the other fast casual pizza concepts, so I can’t compare it to other chains in the area.

Pie Eight! It’s been a while since I had something that was good AND disappointing at the same time. To start with the BIGGEST flaw I have with Pie Five. The pizza is COLD! At first I thought it was just me, but have seen other reviews hear and other pie five locations suggesting this. They need to cook the pizza LONGER. I’ve been here 3x and all 3x the pizza was delicious in taste but irritated me as some of the toppings were hot, some warm, and some cold.(maybe I’m getting to many toppings?) 1st time I didn’t know any better and was hungry and ate the whole pizza when parts was cold. 2nd time I mention my first experience to the crust maker/first person at counter, they told the manger and the manger reply was«it shouldn’t be»(I KNOW!) She said some other things about my previous pie maybe being rushed or off day etc. The first person at the counter(crust maker) asked If I wanted to put the pizza through a 2nd time? Sure. When they brought out it was only done once. Had to put it BACK in. The pizza was hot but parts of the bottom of the crust was slightly burnt. not black burnt but very noticeable taste… of course not enough noticeable I didn’t eat. lol. 3rd visit went as the 2nd time as I watched them pull out the pizza. I touched the top of pizza and certain toppings were cold and had them let it cook longer… so much for Pie FIVE(minutes) Hopefully Pie Eight does a better job. The only thing I’ll SOMEWHAT accept is that it’s based on the crust that I’m getting which all 3 times have been the artisan. which doesn’t really come in a circle when they stretch it out on the pan. Pizza– Have all the toppings you want. TREATYOURSELF the drawback the fresh ingredients may or may not cook all the way through the first time. that’s usually what happens to FRESHRAW toppings. Pizza crust bowl — Gotten the chicken Caesar. when you look at it your like this is SMALL, but it’s more of a side item — at 2.99 Normally I’m quick to sign up for all the promotions for places I like but want sign up for the«circle of crust» until they fix temperature. VERY Large and good for groups. Price range for a single individual seems fine, but not so much for a family. P. S. Can I give the bathroom five stars… I really love the hands free setup they have all in one spot.

Having tried both of the new«Subway» style pizza places in town I can honestly say that I prefer MOD Pizza over Pie Five. While Pie Five is more ascetically pleasing, and they have a really cool sink in the bathroom(spoiler alert — it has the water, soap, and hand dryer all in one), the food is better at MOD. For one, they have a pizza oven at MOD as opposed to a toaster at Pie Five. The oven makes a better crust. Two, I ordered the salad at both places. The Pie Five«bread bowl» is just a bowl made with pizza crust. It fell apart, probably because there was more dressing than salad. But, seriously, you should try both places and make your own judgement. They’re not far apart from each other in terms of location, price, quality, or friendly staff. As of this writing there are ninety-six restaurants in Elmhurst. I plan on eating at, and reviewing, every one. Follow me on Unilocal

Stopped in here because I am interested in how all of these fast casual made to how you want pizza places are. Have already tried Blaze and MOD pizza and now it is Pie Five’s turn. Ordered a basic thin crust cheese with basil. That was it. This pizza was the best of the three places that put out this style. Crust was OK, sauce had flavor, cheese had flavor, and it was properly cooked. For a chain place they did a pretty decent job and I would try them again. Funny thing is that there is a MOD pizza right across the street from this Pie Five location. Wonder how that will shake out. Cheers to All

Much better than I could have ever expected. That also includes the value factor. I really thought this would be a walmart corner stop with crap and more crap. But the quality and ingredients, as well as the price and service, blows expectations away. Between them and MOD, I see no reason to ever tap the aps of Papa Johns,. Domino’s, or Sarpino’s(except Sarpino’s delivers and has fabulous Q-puns). I have nothing bad to say about Pie Five but MOD seemed to be just a bit better. A little better value, a little better user friendly but that is a concept mentality, not an individual store or service judgement. The service at the Elmhurst location is top notch… but so is MOD. Both are clean. Both are friendly. I’ll probably go checkerboard between them but a «pepperoni to my head», MOD gets the nod. Something just a bit better.

Our first experience here was good. We ordered thin crust pizzas. Nothing very exotic. Just pepperoni and black olives. They seem to have a good working process for getting the pizzas made for each person, put into the oven and then taken out of the oven and cut into 6 slices. I thought the salad sounded like a good idea because it is in a pizza dough bowl. Then I saw how small it was and thought no way would that be enough as an entrée. Its a nice restaurant.

Ooey gooey cheesy pizza! Hot and fresh! It’s pretty much the Chipotle of pizza. Fast food pizza with fresh ingredients… Stellar idea. Here’s how to Pie Five: –select a pizza from the menu like«the windy city» OR –build your own without any extra charge for adding a bunch of fun topping! –select from 4 crust options… There is even a gluten free option! –select from 6 different sauces… Spicy, marinara, white, etc –select from oodles and oodles of toppings. Meats, cheeses, veggies, pineapple! Not a pizza fan? Try a salad! Don’t miss out on the turtle brownie dessert… Mmmmmm! Join the«circle of crust» to earn rewards! For a family of 3, we had dinner for under $ 25!

Went to soft opening. Ingredients are overwhelming and they don’t charge you any extra it’s all $ 6.99. Got the high five one. Definitely rich and filling would get it again. My friend got the Italian beef and he said it was good as well. Plus they have freestyle soda machine and loyalty program. Staff was nice. Pizza took about 2 minutes. Will try again but not rushing tho because at the end of the day it’s pizza and there’s at least 10 of them around me.
