I visited this taco truck in front of an office building in Emeryville. The prices were very reasonable compared to other food trucks. I ordered two tacos and asked for lettuce instead of onions and cilantro. I was expecting to pay extra but they were able to substitute without an extra charge. I posted a picture of their recent price increase but still very reasonable.

I’m a pretty impatient person, so given that I had to wait over 30 minutes outside of a food truck for one entrée prepared me to give a pretty bad rating. And then I tried it. The most perfect, delectable torta you could ever taste. And immediately, all was forgiven. I had never tried a torta before, but another Unilocaler deemed it a must-try. It’s almost like any regular sandwich, except for a lot of Mexican flair. I ordered it with steak, and there were little bits of steak throughout the sandwich, just as you would find in a burrito. The salsa, cheese, occasional cilantro, and avocado add so much flavor to it. More than anything, though, I think I loved the sweet, soft bread the most. I was pretty sad when I finished. They gave a handful of chips, salsa, and a small pepper with it. All in all, it’s a really filling meal for $ 8 with no tax. The woman who took my order was very friendly, even though I could tell she felt the pressure of being rushed with so many customers. If you’ve got the time, I’d suggest waiting. But I understand that that’s really not the culture or purpose of taco trucks. It’s all about food on the go, and customers aren’t looking to wait outside for their food. But I promise you, if you’re patient, it’ll all be worth it.

You wouldn’t be able to guess that the food here is from a truck! This is greatly appreciated in this food desert area if Emeryville. I ordered 2 veggie tacos for $ 2 apiece. They were quite delicious! The veggie tacos contain beans, lettuce, guac, cheese, rice, and a slice of tomato with a nice dollop of sour cream on top. Radishes, jalapeños, and carrots garnish them on the side. The homemade and authentic quality in the food here can sincerely be appreciated. What a great bargain snack this truck offers. I’m excited to try the burritos and tortas.

There was nothing wrong with the tacos here; there just isn’t anything that would make me want to stop again. Although I was able to squeeze in behind the truck parking is almost nonexistent. I had asada tacos. The beef was bit dry for my taste and was not very flavorful. Even the salsa did not improve the beef. On the plus side there was a good serving on beef on the tortilla and the radishes were really fresh. I think the next time I want tacos I’ll remind myself that I will not waste away before I get closer to home and my favorite truck.

All I can say is thank GOD this place is cheap! The tacos themselves are decent, but having to wait 45 min for THREEFREAKINTACOS… what a time waster! I got the al pastor, carnitas, and chicken tacos. The chicken was not cooked all the way through and made me feel a little uneasy about consuming, so I only ate half. I hope I don’t regret that later today… After waiting in line for 10 – 15 min or so, I was told the wait for food was about 15 minutes from the unfriendly woman taking orders. After waiting around for a while, I heard other customers commenting to each other that they had been waiting 45 min for their orders!!! Some even said it was an hour! This is ridiculous! There was only one cook and one person getting the orders out and taking orders in. I saw multiple burritos ready in bags, but the person taking orders would only stop to announce the ready orders once every 5 or 6 customers. UM, WE’REHUNGRY and have been waiting 45+min for our food! I think those who have already ordered get priority over those ordering. Get another employee to help make the food flow faster out of the«kitchen»! Sheeiittt… Thought this would be a quick lunch fix, ended up using more than my usual time for lunch just waiting around for my order to finally come. IFYOU’RESHORTONTIME, DONOTCOMEHERE. Also, don’t order the chicken. Definitely under cooked… GAH! Side note: I also heard from someone waiting for their food that they bump up the prices when they go to businesses. There were post it notes over the actual prices printed on the truck, but I am not sure if there is truth to this.

Hands down the best option for a taco truck. The only reason for a 4 star review as appose to the 5 star is because of the times I’ve had my heart broken when I drive down the street and see that the truck is not there. Taco trucks are not Mexican food. There a place to get a quick bite with some Mexican flavors(I’m from Mexico so I should know: p) so no one should expect more than that. This taco trucks hits all the marks for me. 1. They have lengua and it’s not chewy! 2. Great salsa and they always give a baggie with a jalapeño and pickled carrots. 3. Lady’s are nice!(Not sure why others have a problem with the customer service here). 4. Quantity! I’m a big man and need big quantity. 5. A huge bargain! I always expect to hear 16– 20 bucks and it’s usually around 10! Tip them well guys, they’ll take care of you. 6. Tasty… If you’re adventurist, try the chicharon… Most places in the area don’t have it, it’s not traditional at all(they way it’s prepared) but boy it yummy. It’s got a slightly gelatinous texture.

This is a taco truck out in emeryville. For taco truck standards, I would say it’s on par or maybe a little below. However, eateries are few and far between in emeryville, so you can’t be too picky with what you want. I’d be lying if I didn’t say I went here more times than I would have wanted for lack of a better option. The prices are decent($ 6 for a burrito or torta) The food itself is your average mexican food. It’s not drool worthy, and I don’t go lusting for it hours before lunch time, but it does the job. Big portions for cheap prices can’t go too wrong in my book. I do want to point out that I think the tortas are the best thing on the menu I’ve had out of the burrito, breakfast burrrito, and torta I’ve tried here. The bread is nice and light and the insides ever so delicious. All in all, I’d give this place a 3.5 stars with the added half star there for the lack of other options.

I am not sure where the recent reviewers ate, or if they had some other motivation for their poor reviews, but I have been going to Jerezanos for YEARS(+10) and never had a bad experience with the food. The truck(in my not-so-humble opinion) is well-kept; clean for a taco truck… the ladies running it are pleasant, even accommodating(idk — did these others think of tipping?), and the quality is very high. Brian A. is right on the money mentioning the line(a constant, which should say something more than a few bad reviews) but you can call and order ahead(just ask for their number).

Never again. The service is OK. But the food is flavorless I had 3 different kinds of meat. I had chicken, spicy pork, and steak and they all tasted the same. Like nothing. My tortillas were also cold. Pretty disappointing.

YUM! Just got 2 chicken tacos & they were amazing. Very reasonable prices. This is a food truck so don’t expect plush seating & ambiance. Do expect really good food, great service & possibly a line(see above ;-)

Good prices, good tacos. They also have a small foldout table that can seat 4 people of you’re looking to sit down to eat your tacos.

GOODVEGGIEBURITTOAND A DRINKFOR $ 5!!! ok, so maybe this isn’t has good as the taco trucks in the fruitvale but it the best taco truck in emeryville or north oakland in my opinion. the veggie buritto is all i get and it is really good and big and the price is excellent! flavorful salsa, with plenty of onions and celantro, tasty rice and beans plus chips and a jalapeño. also the service is fast and friendly. its right down the street from my house so i go here all the time and its always good. if you’re in the area and want a good quick burrito hit this place up!

Tacos here were very nice plus they had a little table and chair set up for one or two lucky customers. I wasn’t in the mood for their breakfast burritos, but one day I will be. I only have had one experience here so far but it seems to be a high quality truck(and well decorated as well). There are a plethora of packaged snack options as. Bottom line: t seems like the owners really care.

Tacos Jerezanos is 6 years old, judging by nobu k’s review. J’s longeviety at this emeryvile location is puzzling cuz: –there’s little legal parking –carna asada burritos(5.50) pricey for mostly rice and beans, some gristle, ground beef, some salsa, little guacamole and very salty. –greasy, is it lard? –noticed beginning price was 3.50.for burritos. pros: –fresh chips provided along with a jalepeno –courteous, fast service –choice of ten meats for filling. –3.5 stars. there’s better mex out there but not in emeryville.

I was lucky enough to try two of the carnitas tacos tonight at the Unilocal event at Linden Brewery. Yum Yum or Nom Nom. Is that the sound a baby makes when it is happy and satisfied with the bottle? Yeah. Thats the sound I was making. Tender pork hugged by two warm corn tortillas surrounded by onions and cilantro. There was fresh lemon slices, quartered radishes, and extra jalapeño. For a mere $ 1.50 each. Best dinner in months. Not lying.

I flipping love tacos! And I’m not talking about fish tacos, taco salad, or tacos made in a cardboard tasting Old El Paso stand up shell.(I mean, who seriously buys those stand up shells anyways?!) I want my tacos made with two small corn tortillas with anything from carne asada to lengua, cilantro, onions, and salsa. I heard good things about Tacos Jerezanos from a friend. Today while heading to Target I finally noticed the truck and decided to walk over and have a looksie. The menu had your typical taco truck food(burrito, tacos, torta) all very reasonably priced. I decided to go with a carne asada taco($ 1.25) which was bangginnggg! The meat was well seasoned and it was topped with just the right amount of cilantro, onions, and salsa. The ladies who were working even covered it with foil and added some lime, radishes, and a jalapeño on the side. I must add that I did notice that all the ingredients were very fresh. I’ve been to taco trucks where they’ve served limes, radishes, and cilantro that were wilted and brown. The ones they served at Jerezano not only looked fresh, but tasted fresh. I’ll be back for sure.

Just had a Torta w/carnitas. It was so good, I decided I had to risk any mangers seeing me on Unilocal and not working just to tell everyone how good it was. To me, what makes a Torta better than the rest is the BREAD. BREAAAADDDD. They definitely had a delicious bread unlike anything i’ve ever tasted. It was soft, yet a little bit crispy on the edges. I usually get a burrito but I decided to try something different and I’M SUREGLAD I DID! If you work near the Target, DEFINITELYTRYTHISTRUCKOUTFORLUNCH!

Let’s just say the churning within my tummy makes me believe I’m gonna set sail to some ferociousness later on .and I’m not looking forward to it. The ladies here were totally weird. not rude, not slow per se. just strange. I felt like it was me for a moment and then I realized, it was them. Not sure I’d come back. the al pastor was runny and weird and the beans weren’t anything to talk about. The chips pissed me off. you know the kind. Dorito corn flavor. I think I’m done with old school taco trucks. they just don’t even make an effort to be fantastic anymore and that’s what I like to aim for in my quest for lunch and nutrition.

Fantastic Food. The ladies are super nice. I usually order the burrito with carne asada. Huge burrito for 5.50. PS if you love spice, they provide fresh serrano chile pepper. i can gobble up jalepenos like popcorn, but man these serranos killed me. i only finished 1 :(

Judging by the address, this is the Tacos Jerezanos taco truck, but I’m going to review it here under generic«Taco Truck» because I want to be like Nobu! ;-) Great al pastor tacos. The corn tortillas were not greasy at all and the salsa added some nice flavor. It didn’t taste like the meat had been cooked on the vertical rotisserie spit, but it’s got a tasty marinade/sauce with a nice kick. They give you a wedge of lime, radish slices, and jalepeno/carrot slice mix. The radishes looked a little sketchy, but everything else was very good. Prices are $ 1.25 per taco and $ 5 for burrito w/guac & sour cream.
