Brett was terrific. I went in, thinking that I might want to replace my existing Miele canister. No hard sell, Brett wasn’t convinced I would see that much difference moving to the Marin, but I bought one anyway and LOVED it.
Very much appreciate the thorough information, and follow up service. I will likely replace my dishwasher soon with a Miele, because of the terrific experience that I had here.

This is the place to buy a Miele vacuum. I was doing my research and I stumbled upon Brett’s exceedingly clear and informative videos. Once I watched them, I was pretty sure that I wanted the Marin Vacuum. I called The store and Brett walked me through the options based on my requirements and I ordered the machine, The vacuum arrived the next day and I was vacuuming immediately. This thing saves me so much time because it makes it easy to dust as well as vacuum. And it gets underneath most of the furniture with ease. I just love the extended hose and suggest getting that as well, because the hose is what makes it a breeze to dust an entire room in just a few moments.
A few days ago I received a very courteous follow up post card checking to be sure everything was all right. Amazing service and amazing information! A+ experience all around.

Brett is great! He has loads of information and can basically tailor a vacuum to fit your needs. I have an S7 upright now but I REALLY want an C3 Marin! I will be back some day soon to get one! I took my S7260 upright vacuum since it had lost suction power. I was told that I could have it serviced but they wouldn’t guarantee that would fix the problem. Brett told me they have so many uprights coming in for service and that I should buy a Miele canister vacuum. I just spent over $ 700 on this one in 2013! I wouldn’t buy another Miele product again. I hated being told how mine was inferior and I asked why in the world would I buy another Miele vacuum? No way.

I’d like to give a 2-​part review on both the product I bought as well as the purchasing experience.
I found Brett @ HomeLux via some very informative YouTube videos explaining the differences between a number of Miele Vacuums. His presentation skills impressed me and were validated during an extended call when he was able to answer a number of questions regarding the S8 line of vacuums. I ended up purchasing my Miele Marin (S8) from Brett having never put my hands on the machine itself. HomeLux service was top notch, and I cannot speak enough about Brett’s professionalism and service. I’m on the east coast and could have purchased this machine from a number of local stores but wanted to give this location my business.
Regarding the Marin itself, I have been using the vacuum for a few weeks now and I must say it’s one of the most impressive vacuums I’ve ever used. I have experience with orecks, hoovers, and sharks and this one really meets my needs. I’d strongly recommend doing some comparisons between vacuums, as I was in the market and was prepared to step up to a higher-​quality unit than the $ 200-​and-​under items you can find in big-​box stores. I had not heard of Miele until I started doing homework comparing hoovers /​dysons /​etc and I am extremely happy with my purchase. The operation is very silent, the features are amazing, the tools work great, and the flexible powerhead gets it done for my home (approximately 4000 sq/​ft with a mix of plush, berber and hardwood). I’d recommend this line of vacuums to anyone who was serious about cleaning their home.
Side note — changed the bag for the first time and since everything is contained in the filter bag, there was NO DUST on the inside of the unit. Those with allergies could benefit greatly from this setup.
So to sum up — love the Miele Marin which looks to be in my family for a very long time. When it comes to service and sales, I can easily say that HomeLux Vacuum & Appliance was a wonderful purchasing experience and give Brett full marks on his efforts. Thanks so much sir!

Great place to shop from. I ordered the Miele CM 6310 coffee system from them and they shipped out the same day and I got it the next business day. I could not be happier with the process. While I could not click and order online I was able to make a phone call ask Brett about 75 questions get answers to most and place an order fairly quickly. They even met a competitors price who completely failed and would not even ship me the product.
A couple days after I received the order they even followed up with a personal email to make sure I didn’t have any questions, or if there was any way the could help me. I really appreciated the follow up and attention to detail. For any of Miele needs or anything else offered by HomeLux I would definitely recommend them.

These guys are awesome. They stock a ton of Miele parts and filters. They offered me a discount on the bags and filters «to match what I could find them online» without me even asking. This is refreshing after getting bent over by Vac+Plus for years. HomeLux knew all about my vacuum and what was available for it. Super friendly, great location. I bought the Miele dog and cat and it’s totally awesome. Worth the $.

If anybody is looking to learn before they buy, I would highly recommend Brett at Homelux. I first learned of Brett and Homelux on Youtube, where he gave an informative demonstration on Miele vacuums. I was still unsure about which model to get, so I called him from Sacramento.
I could have easily went to my local Miele dealer here in Sacramento, but because Brett does such a thorough job of explaining things, I chose to call him and buy from him.
I spent about 20 or 25 minutes on the phone with Brett and I was torn between the Calima and the Marin. Because I have a house with hardwood flooring, Brett recommended the less expensive model (Calima) and after a great education, I bought it. He could have very easily sold me on the more expensive model but he didn’t. He even told me that he would make more money if he sold the Marin, but because of his integrity, he did what was right for the me, the customer.
I know this is long, but I really feel like Brett is the real deal with sales and service. Made me feel like I was buying an appliance in the year 1910, when people were honest and trustworthy.
LONG STORY SHORT — Confused about which Miele model to buy? Thinking about buying a great vacuum but not sure what to do? Give Brett a call at Homelux and the only thing that will suck after your transaction will be your new Miele vacuum.
