we,… more like me,… go to honeys for breakfast and their popeye omelette soft, but i finally found something to order other than their popeye, their corned beef and hash. the best corned beef and hash ever, only thing missing on the wife’s order was super runny eggs. it was more corned beef than hash(++), seasoned well and it was flat grilled perfectly where it had enough light crunchiness in every bite. just killer and i wish i had ordered it.

We have had amazing food & then order the exact same thing & it’s not good. Wish there was more consistency. Disappointing.

If you like looking at food and not eating it this is the place for YOU! Honeys? More like dog poop’s because the food tastes like when a dog eats dog food and then poops it out. Corn beef hash? More like corn beef ass. Steak hash? More like steaaakk away from this place. I highly recommend this place if you want to play a prenk on someone and order them a pile of CRAP.

We love this spot. We stick to the lobster benny, but the other benny options are good too. We also love the coffee bar. Good service, but difficult parking and seating during peak times.

The food is great and prices are reasonable, good for the area they’re in. Parking can be a serious pain and sometimes when it’s super busy it can be difficult to find an open table. They have really good smoothies and a large assortment of coffees. My favorite items would have to be the lobster eggs benny and the banana pancakes. Best banana pancakes I’ve found!

This place is the same owner of Swamis Café. So the food is basically the same. Find yourself a seat type of establishment. Fast to get the food out to you. A bit on the pricey side for some egg omelets. Stuff French toast is yummy! Wish they put more of that raspberry drizzle. If you are fortunate, you can get parking right In front, if not, go walk a block to the side street(which isn’t to bad but if you have an infant and other small kids with you it’s a bit of hassle.) It gets crazy busy in there, like out the door busy.

The food is amazing and the food comes quick but unfortunately the service especially at the register isn’t great. It makes such a difference when the person you first see, who should be the cheerful greeter makes you feel welcome. Some of them do, but particularly the blonde young female who we unfortunately get most of the time can’t even smile. She just goes through the motions and clearly doesn’t like her job. Its uncomfortable. It would make the experience that much more pleasant. Customers should feel welcomed positively when first stepping into the restaurant. Its so important. Other than that, and them forgetting my cheese on the side of my scrambler every time, and because its small its a bit cramped and loud, we just go there for the food which is always delicious, and will continue to go in hopes the service will improve.

This is not the first time ice ordered to go from honeys but it will certainly be the last! It never fails that they mess up something on my order. I went in personally to order and waited there for my food to go. I ordered the ham and cheddar sandwich no lettuce no tomato no mayo add bacon. They kept the lettuce and tomato on my sandwich. I also ordered the fresh fruit salad with granola and yogurt. I have no yogurt. Unfortunately I had to get to work so I didn’t have time to wait and have them fix it. Honeys you blow at taking orders for to go :(

A must go to place for Breakfast or lunch! So much awesomeness going on in this little hidden joint. [5] Food Fresh, Organic, flavorful, great texture and cooked right well. On a note* If you are ordering the pancakes with the fruit inside, sometimes the batter will not be fully cooked under where the(lets say Oranges are), that is because of the fruits they add, Had this experience with other places and well it just happens. So no worries. [5] Very attentive staff and friendly! also checking in and cleaning, making sure everything is being re-stocked and or taken care of. [5] Own baked goods, and they are wonderful. [5] Variety on menu options: from Acai Bowls, to lobster Benedict, to fresh whole fruit smoothies. You are sure to find something different compared to other joints. Stuffed french toast are great! [5] Big portions Now for the not so happy parts, you may find of an inconvenience: [1] PACKED — This place is banging — so the above resembles what people like and they like this place a lot! is it worth the wait? I don’t mind, just depends when you go too, weekends expect to wait longer. Tho I must admit that they work really fast to get everyone through. :) [1] Along with the wait, you have over crowding and the place is [1] SMALL. You are waiting in line and you have people trying to get through from their tables to get coffee and the coffee is where the long line is. You have to ask people in line to let you through, same for the creamer and sugars.(Yes you get your own coffee) Tho, the young man that brought our food was kind enough to bring my mom some coffee for her. This is something I do find unattractive. [2] Parking — It is on main street of Hwy 101 in Encinitas, parking is hard to find. We usually have to park about 1 block away or in the back streets of the the establishments there. Maybe your lucky to find parking right in front on the 101. I yet have to get that opportunity, I don’t mind the walk at all, I enjoy it. Just stating facts. No private lot. [3] Pricing — this one I’m not going to complain about too much because you are in Encinitas and you do pay for what you get, quality is very broad here and you cannot go cheap with this. I don’t come here often because it always ends up being over $ 40.00 for breakfast for me and my mom. It’s not that bad, I just cannot give myself that luxury ahahahaa ;) Once a month is good for me. And on cheat days. Every person I have introduced this place too, has gone back several times and they love it. It is worth the try. Happy Unilocaling.

Well… I’ve been here twice now and I’m not fully impressed. First time was ok, crowded but I suppose it always is. Near impossible to find a diner in Encinitas on the 101 on a Sunday that isn’t crowded! Dur! The first time I got an omelette and was not impressed. The food came somewhat quickly but it wasn’t that good. It was cold too… It was a ton of food though! So that’s nice. The second time the service was just pretty bad. We came at 1:45 and that’s about a little more than an hour before closing. I figured it wouldn’t be too bad. Well, the food was still just meh. I got the clubhouse sandwich. And I ordered one to go as well. Wellllllll they brought my food but not my to go order. So I told the waitress and she had to come over 3 different times to ask me about my order. Maybe she was just having a bad day? I don’t know… But I will say the fries were delicious! All in all… I don’t plan to come back. With all the awesome diners in Encinitas, especially along the 101, you really need to stand out… And this one didn’t to me.

I had the Artichoke and chicken sausage omelette this morning at Honeys in the early morning, on my way to the library(which is just up the street). I was looking for an alternative to the usual haunts, Encinitas Café et al. I was pleasantly surprised! If you are in the mood for a hearty, protein — rich breakfast, this would be it! Slightly-spicey chicken sausage, artichoke, asparagus, tomatoes and a generous portion of goowy, yummy swiss cheese fills this omelette out with a side of potatoes that are amply garnished with parsley for a refreshing flare. I’m gonna save the rest for a mid-afternoon snack cuz this sicker is big! Their smoothies also look luscious as well. Note: be sure to ask for gluten-free toast if you arw g.f.

Just had the best GLUTENFREE cinnamon raisin French Toast. It was absolutely perfect! Go try them ASAP! And the bacon was thick cut with the perfect amount of crispy. Yummy! Overall: fast casual, friendly/quick service, large tasty portions. I was my first time there and I’ll definitely be back.

Honey’s is my favorite spot. I love to grab breakfast here. Everything that has come from their kitchen has been good and the coffee bar can’t be beat. They have about a dozen different coffee’s in carafes along one wall. I find I’m always getting the organic Guatemalan but it’s good to have options. They have big mugs or to-go cups waiting. It makes it easy to grab your coffee and settle in after ordering at the counter. They have both indoor and sidewalk seating. The tables inside can be a little cramped but its worth it given how popular the restaurant can be during the summer and on weekends. The staff is always friendly and laid back. The kitchen is pretty quick and food arrives promptly. Service is minimal since coffee and water are both self serve but that works just fine. I’ve tried about half of their savory breakfast options and everything has been good. I am a big fan of ABC omelettes. The avocado, bacon and cheese is a combination few would argue with and they make a good one here. It’s my usual. I have also gotten the chilaquiles benedict a few times and it’s a winner. I have a thing for tortilla chips and what could possible be wrong about building an egg dish with hollandaise on top of them. Look for me when you go.

Today is my first time eating here(and first time FINALLY writing a Unilocal review myself), and let me just say I think I finally found my new favorite brunch spot!!! The menu is amazing, the selection of Benedicts both extensive and creative, and there’s a huge selection of coffees, smoothies, and fresh juices. I tried the lobster Benedict and it really was as tasty as the previous reviews stated. The portions are big, so you can either be really full or have some leftovers. The area is super crowded on weekends, so a bit stuffy inside, but despite that the service was exceptionally fast and the food well worth it :) The only reason I gave 4⁄5 stars is on my significant others behalf, because the menu layout was confusing. He wanted a scramble, but only saw two of the available options on the chalkboard so settled for one that had veggies he didn’t particularly like. There are chalkboards detailing all of the drinks, benedicts, and specials, but if you want the FULL list of available food items, grab the actual fold out menu(which we didn’t see). This has tons more options that can suit anyone’s dietary desires!(Including several more meaty scrambles for those carnivores out there) Overall, amazing breakfast joint!

This place feels like family. Friendly and loud. The only thing it was missing was the drama and the broken dishes, okay maybe that’s just at my house. The line was out the door which is always a good sign. Everyone in our group ordered something different so we could all try them: Lobster Benedict, The Big Breakfast, and the California Benedict with coffee all around. I had a Mexican mocha, not as sassy as I like it but still pretty damn good. The energy at Honey’s is high and service was quick. There is a hum that fills the background, not that noisy chatter that annoys the hell out of you, but rather a positive vibe generated by folks living in the moment and enjoying great food with friends. I love this place and will be coming back often.

Honeys is a nice little breakfast joint located right off of the 101 in Encinitas. The food and the environment here is actually outstanding but it is freaking crowded on the weekends. By crowded, I mean really freaking crowded, so much that it seems almost uncomfortable sitting inside if you’re not fortunate enough to snag an outdoor seat. Aside from the crowds, this place is outstanding. The have an excellent selection of egg benedicts and a fantastic acai bowl that’ll make anyone smile. Overall I’d highly recommend Honeys To anyone looking to have a great breakfast/brunch. Pros– Food Portions Price Ice tea taste Service Promptness Taste Selection Acai bowl Cons– Limited outdoor seating Crowded Parking can be tough

Went here for breakfast. Streets were blocked off because of the Encinitas Street Fair. We managed to find parking a few blocks away. As we enter, there were a lot of people in line ordering food to dine in or to go. My husband ordered for me while my daughter and I grabbed a table. My husband got me the steak hash with fruit and bread. Inside the steak hash was potatoes, cut up pieces of steak and scrambled eggs on top. There was also green and red peppers in the mix. The steak was soft and very good. The potatoes and eggs needed ketchup to add some flavor. The potatoes were plain. It was good. The bread was thick like Texas toast and had butter already spread on it. The fruit was delicious and fresh. I had an orange juice to wash down my food. The orange juice was thick and tasted fresh. I needed to water it down a bit cause it was too thick in consistency but good. Overall the food was delicious! The service was great. As soon as we were done, the guy cleared off our table and other tables. People were friendly. Cute place to dine in. There were also tables outside if you wish to eat outside. A nice place to have breakfast. I highly recommend this place.

Honey’s is a nice spot to grab some brunch on the go. Order at the counter and they bring you the food to your table. Menu selection is huge ranging from juices, smoothies, acai, pancakes, omelettes, scrambles, vegetarian, sandwiches, wraps and burgers. It should be pretty easy for everyone to find something on the menu to eat. Coffee selection is also huge with a dozen different flavors. Prices are also very reasonable. I have ordered the Chicken Bacon Sandwich and the Chicken Caesar wrap. Portion size on both were both pretty big. They mistakenly gave me the Chicken Santa Fe on the first time but not biggie. Our dishes have been varied from ok to really good. My wife really likes their veggie scramble. The restaurant is located in downtown Encinitas where you will need to find street parking. It can get quite busy during peak hours on the weekend and seating can be limited. The inside also can get very noisy inside when it is full of people. There are also a few tables outside if you have a dog. There is also a Buy One Entrée Get One Entrée Free coupon available if you have the San Diego Entertainment Coupon book.

I dream of acai bowls and Honey’s is where I love to go to get my fix:) Every time I come here the service is fast, the employees are friendly and my bowl tastes fresh! I don’t mess around and get the ½ bowl, I come in hungry and order the humongous one-acai blended with apple juice and topped with delicious granola which they make fresh, bananas, blackberries, blueberries, raspberries, strawberries, bee pollen and coconut shreds. …dream fulfilled:))
