The selection of eye catching beach booze is extensive. The place is large and easy to slosh across isles without disturbing bottles. Lotto tix are available along with typical behind the counter Tobacco and also cigars available. The guys working at the location they are pretty un happy and not interested in actually being friendly. The guy always seems put out to help me. I don’t care about that I rate 5 stars for selection and location

In a community enamored with funk, it is no surprise that we cherish the iconic 40 foot tall turquoise Leucadia Liquor sign. For years the sign was missing a letter, but they fixed it and now our community is whole again. I think of it as the mast of our community by the sea. Their shelves are stocked with every type of liquor, a decent wine selection and some local craft beers to complete the lineup. I typically stock up on craft beers and don’t mind paying a little bit more to support a locally owned funky small business. Rumor has it that the spiritualists who named Leucadia after a Greek island danced in white robes. I suspect the dancing was fueled by liquor, so I will drink and dance for the sake of tradition.

A nice little liquor store. I was visiting a friend, and as his wife’s family was Turkish I broke my bourbon tradition and went in search of Raki. The ‘Turks in the Know’ all recommended this place as it carries a large assortment of Raki. Sure enough, in a small(and sketchy looking) liquor store, was a treasure trove of 20ish different varieties of this Turkish version of Ouzo. The fact that the store keep knew which ones were good and bad and could help me choose between the competing ‘bests’ the Turks had sent me to find, also helped. All in, not nice, not fancy, but a decent place to find

The famous«LIQUOR» sign in all of Leucadia! When BevMo’s not having their 5cent sale or I’m all out of Trader Joe’s 2buck Chuck, I come to Leucadia Liquor. Just a few blocks from my house and conveniently located on the 101, this shop has it all: wine, beer, hard booze… videos and mags too. There’s a deli counter to the left of the front door as you walk in, although I’ve never seen anyone work it much less spotted any sandwich ingredients ready for the picking. The guys that run this joint are rad albeit a little flirty. I don’t mind. Who doesn’t love a friendly hello every now and again.

The sign says fine wines and I’m sure after a few glasses the wines do taste mighty fine… in addition to fine wines, they sell a fine selection of ice-cold beers and the usual liquor store paraphernalia and a rather LARGE selection of DVDs. This is good to know because you never know when you are going to need a date flick to go along with that fine bottle of wine you just bought. I think there may be an adult section as well but we will just keep that hush hush if there are kids around. The deli is estranged but the Russian guy behind the counter very cool…
