Jessica the Über blonde. Not only did she make the night, but she is also extremely intelligent and had very knowledgeable recommendations. Her recommendations were beyond superior and exactly what I wanted This bartender is a keeper. She is vibrant with personality and effervessance. I will be back!

This is the second time I will ever apologize in a Unilocal review for the loud moans I’ve made during eating dinner. This is such a cute place located in the Downtown Encinitas area and if you are coming for dinner, make sure you spend the time to look for parking, or go to the train station parking lot cause the street parking can be hard. I love the décor of the joint and the host are nice. When we got seated we were on the outside patio area and, of course, the one random time in San Diego, it started to pour on us while were sitting outside at our table. We grabbed our drinks and rushed inside. The servers and hosts both did a great job in working together and moving tables and getting people seated. I must give my server, Kelsie a big shout out for holding her group when a group was trying to swoop in and steal my groups table and she basically said we were there before that group so we needed this table before them. The other group was RUDE! I ordered the Pork Belly Burger and holy deliciousness, this burger is packing some greatness!!! I loved the bacon, the pork belly was prefect and the truffle fries were on point!!! I love this and I have to again say a big thank you to Kelsie for all her hard work on such a crazy night!!!

This is my favorite neighborhood hang — especially for brunch. Every dish on the menu is great — plus my favorite spot to watch football! After discovering Bier Garden, it’s tough to accept any other local sports bar.

We have come here for both brunch and dinner on multiple occasions. We LOVE it! The Bloody Mary menu is amazing and has something for everyone’s pallet. The waffles fries are fantastic, the chicken schnitzel was great! To be honest I have yet to have something I didn’t like. Must must must try it here. Chuck went out of his way to get my family of 6 a table during«rush hour». Huge cheers to Chuck for being so awesome! It’s people like you that make the spot awesome!

3 stars 1. The bartenders are not very attentive. They spend more time topping off limes and working the service well then concentrating on their guest in front of them. 2. The food seems pretentious and is a little overpriced for the quality of product you get. I ordered the big boy breakfast sandwich and the only thing big about it was the brioche bun. Pretty lame if you ask me. Also don’t serve French fries with a breakfast sandwich, that’s not very American of you. 3. They do have a great selection of local craft beers but I wish the bartenders could get my order correct and help me in a decent amount of time so I could have sampled and ordered a few more then just the one beer I was able to order in the hour time I spent at the bar. 4. The patio chairs made me feel like I was 7 years old at the dinner table, a little to weird for me. Had to move to the bar, the seats worked well there. Overall the place was ok. It’s another rustic atmosphere and gastro pub type menu. I was a little disappointed because I had heard good things. My recommendations for this place is train the staff on attention to detail, don’t let your bar back or busser make pre work out or protein drinks behind me bar, cut the fruit in the back and out of view of the guest and stay on top of quality customer service.

Kelsey was our server tonight at Biergarten and that made our night fantastic– she understood us from the beginning and made so many fitting suggestions, making us laugh the whole time!!! She knows the tasting menu so well and we could give some vague indicators about our likes/preferences and she pointed us in the right direction every time. We will always come back for Kelsey’s supreme service!

The food made my taste buds happy. Everything about this restaurant is well put together and gives off a good vibe. Bier Garden is what makes Encinitas complete! I recommend the Steak Crostini and Pork Belly burger, but really everything is great here.

Party of two for brunch on Saturday 1÷9÷16. Great bloody menu with a 4 oz beer back. So fun and creative. I had the Meaty Mary(not the actual name :) and a lost Abby red barn saison(or something like that), it was amazing. I ordered the chilaquiles and I must say it was outstanding. Great stewed and shredded bird, wonderful fresh mexi cheese and the salsa was clean. My wive’s crab Benny was good(4 out of 5). Great service, solid food and overall a lovely experience. The places gets packed so go early like 10.

I really enjoy the food here! I have had the fish sandwiches, waffle fries are a must, salads and even their breakfast, it may just look like just a bar, but the food is YUM!

Popular place with the 20&30 yr olds as well as older groups. Pros: short rib dip excellant, salmon burger excellent, fish tacos«OK». Drinks, lots of fun ginger beers and cocktails, in fun cups to boot. Very energetic lively crowd, heated patio for those brutal San Diego winters… Cons: our waitress was great, perky and remembered everything. Only issue was they didn’t have enough of her for a Tuesday night, longs periods in between the meal before seeing her. Not cheap, the 3 of us had 1 drink each and a main course for $ 98-.

This place was very nice I thought, decent happy hour offerings and wasn’t too busy at the time of our visit. I really like seeing the growth of Encinitas and it makes for more fun and memorable visits when I’m down visiting my relatives. Would like to swing by again for some munchies and another beer of course!

Cool chill place to grab a drink before hitting the train or to watch a game or to try and meet girls. I’ve actually met a few girls here already just hanging at the bar. Its usually just chit chat type stuff but if the hunt was on this is a gr8 place to start! :D Have yet to taste the grub but most def looking forward to that night. The bartender is very social and handles the clientale well.

Haven’t been to Encinitas in a while and boy have times changed!!! We stopped by for a pre-party and to grab a drink before our event. This place has an open air concept where you can totally people watch from the bar seating. We grabbed seats right next to the front and you are able to see who comes and goes. The place was crowded for a weeknight. I opted to order the Strawberry Basil Mojito $ 10. Not super sweet, but really refreshing. Service was really friendly and the ambiance is very chill. Nice spot to grab some drinks and to hang.

A fun place on Coast Highway in Encinitas to enjoy some food and watch the traffic and people go by. Completely open restaurant so you get lots of fresh air and views of the outside and what’s going on. Located next to Whole Foods, another one of my favorite places. Experience here was absolutely positive. Menu items/dishes you don’t see other places. They have a very original menu with some delicious choices. Simply look at the photos on Unilocal to get an idea of what you are in store for. Super friendly and attentive service from our server. Great food, reasonable prices, nice atmosphere, upbeat and lively. Looking forward to another visit soon.

I love this hipster little restaurant! Encinitas is such a cool little hipster– beach town, and The Bier Garden fits right in. It has an indoor/outdoor bar with some outdoor seating and tables inside. It’s located right next door to Whole Foods Market, and has an underground parking lot! 2 hours free before 6 and 3 hours free after 6. I came here for lunch today to meet a friend and we were able to get a table right away. The waitress let us do our thing(catch up like girls do) until she came to take our order. There was no rush and that was nice. I’ve eaten here before and the food has always been delicious. I opted for a side salad with some waffle fries. Hey why not? When she brought our order, I thought she was mistaken. The«side» salad was huge! I’m kicking myself for not taking pictures of it. There is no way I could eat an entrée salad if that was only a side. The salad was fresh and dressing was light. The waffle fries were amazing– crispy, seasoned to perfection. Again, for a side it was super generous. Drinks come in mason jars which is cute(hipster) and they have a huge selection of beer, wines, spirits. I highly recommend this place for lunch or dinner. I haven’t tried their brunch yet but I will be back eventually. Service was amazing. Our waitress was super sweet and on top of our orders. Thanks again!

Where do I start… I awoke this morning with a blistering headache and knew food and a cocktail needed to be in my near future. Being a resident of San Francisco, I had little knowledge of my culinary options within Encinitas. As a sufferer of chronic food FOMO, I obviously sacrificed in extreme hunger while scouring Unilocal reviews of nearby restaurants. Enter: Biergarden… I’d looked at the menu before but something about reading it in person, at the bar, in front of a beautiful bartender and a pint glass of bacon and slim jims for their mimosas made it feel surreal. What did I order? THEPORKBELLYBURGER: Medium rare patty, pork belly, candied bacon, crispy shallots, BBQ sauce & secret sauce… I never want to eat anything else again. Of course, being that it was quasi breakfast, I added a fried egg to complete the burger of my dreams. I’m literally sitting here at the bar writing this review because I’m compelled… Both by gratitude and separation anxiety from the love I just devoured. Come one, come all. I’m going to cry.

My second visit here and I really dig this joint. Figures we’d discover the Bier Garden AFTER we have a child but I have to say, I’m glad we finally did. The hubby and I came in again over the weekend after our initial brunch ideas fell through. We arrived right before noon and had our little one in tow. I wasn’t sure if it would be inappropriate to go to a Gastropub with an infant but since it was during the day and we weren’t planning on going crazy with the alcohol, we felt we would be fine. It seems that other parents agree that’s it’s cool to bring their kids because minutes after we were seated, 4 other families came in with strollers and soon, the small open area right outside the bathrooms became stroller central. Luckily, we got the one table in the joint where we were able to park the stroller alongside our table. Everyone else had to ditch their strollers. Our little one was sleeping so we we were grateful we didn’t have to disturb her. Score! I ordered the pollo loco and my husband ordered the BK brekkie which is 2 eggs any style, choice of meat(sausage or bacon) and roasted potatoes — all for $ 8. He thought everything was tasty but felt it was really heavy. Perhaps cooked with a lot of oil and/or butter because the scrambled eggs he chose were a bit oily. I on the other hand had no complaints about my pollo loco. It was a fried chicken breast served over biscuits and topped with a fried egg and a sausage gravy. Healthy… this was not, but tasty it was! Since I was not able to have runny egg yolks during my pregnancy, I’m all over meals with runny yolks and this one did not disappoint. I loved the pieces of sausage in the gravy. Usually dishes like these are too salty for me but they did well with the seasoning. I was one satisfied and stuffed girl. We did not have anything to drink but I would love to try a Bloody Mary here. They looked good and it seems they get great reviews so next time for sure.

I went in here with my friend Kevin for brunch 2 weekends ago, I have been eyeballing the place for a long time and finally made it in. We both got the Bloody that comes with a piece of bacon and a Slim JIm and a salad or whatever. Dayum! Good, but almost too pretty to drink. Comes with a beer chaser! Love it! I had the French Dip, Kevin had the Lobster BLT, which I was going to get, both were on point. The atmosphere was right up my alley, we sat outside at the bartop and I will definitely be back when I can.

Have you seen their Bloody Mary menu? Seriously? They are unreal, and, come with a beer chaser. When in this part of North County, you really should pop in here. Also, they serve food, it’s ok, nothing from the kitchen has blown me away, but the people watching is excellent!

There were things that I liked about this place and there were things that I did not. Came here for brunch with a couple ladies from a prior workplace– the Grand Del Mar. We met for drinks and some good food. We were seated, and we had to sit at the bar where you look out onto the street on problem was that there was three of us and it was really hard to hear the conversation at times. Our waitress Chelsea was great, I only have one thing to say… albeit that she told us that it would be worth us ordering a bottle of champagne for mimosas, however when she brought the carafe it was shattered near the top… I had to tell her that it was shattered and she did replace, however the amount of juice was now cut down by half… which meant that we did not have enough juice to mix with our las mimosas. that was a let down… other than that things were pleasant to a certain degree… I did feel rushed by oncoming busboys, asking if we were finished with our plates and sometimes not waiting for the answer which was no. I think maybe it was a busy morning and they may have been a rush… who knows. It was a little bothersome since we were trying to converse. I ordered the Biscuits and gravy… which was grand. I also sampled the Lobster Benedict which was a delight— and I had wished that I ordered that instead. So delicious with the lobster and the poached egg and the bacon… yum We ordered a kid’s portion of the Orange French Toast which was pretty good, it was not overly sweet and did come with syrup to sweeten it up even more if you are into that sort of thing! All in all, I vote three stars.
