We used to come here at least once a week, but since the manager, Augusto, left we have no interest. The pizzas are ok, but the ambiance has gone…

A must stop in Encinitas — love the Wine Alley! It is like a mini-vacation when you walk back to the little bar. Enjoy some wine, some food from Giovanni’s and meet Augosto the knowledgeable Wine Alley owner. Let’s keep Encinitas fun, funky and local — stop by the Wine Alley!!! But you may miss it because it is very hidden — just south of Giovanni’s and right before the car-wash.

This place really is really in an Alley. It’s on the side of Giovanni’s and next to a car wash. New business just opened up a few months ago and they are open Wednesdays thru Sundays from 5−11pm. We happened upon this place after the month car show in downtown Encinitas and discovered our new favorite wine. This place is reasonable and quaint and they serve little cheese plates and other little apps that go well with wine. You also have access to the full menu of Giovanni’s which is a mom and pop style Italian restaurant that shares a wall with Wine Alley. The proprietress Marjorie also works the oyster bar at Fish Market Del Mar. She provides excellent service, good wine and a nice selection of beer for reasonable prices. We are on our way to being regulars and advise anyone who likes the above to do the same. See you there.
