HECTOR is AMAZING! Best place in town. He never disappoints us with our 2 cockapoos. He Does an amazing job for over 4 years!

Today Charlie had his haircut second time at this place and we loved it again. The customer service is excellent. Hector did exactly what we wanted -” teddy” haircut that is so cute. We will be back.

Fernando took 1^st class care of my dog while doing a professional teeth cleaning and attended to me and my concerns for my dog as much as he did to my dog. Probably the best experience I’ve ever had for me & my dog anywhere, ever. There are very few places that don’t anesthetize in order to clean a dog’s teeth… And even fewer that don’t hurt the dog while doing it. THIS IS THE PLACE! Not to mention it didn’t break the bank. Thank you Fernando for treating both me & my dog so well & being so reasonable in this economy. Hope the good vibes come back to you and your business, 10-​fold.

Wow — completely blown away with the quality of service at Pride n’ joy. Hector did a fabulous job with our golden doodle Norsey. We brought him in with several mats thinking we would have to shave him — but Hector was able to save his beautiful coat and make him look like a show quality dog!

Under new ownership and now called Laundromutt. I have now taken my poodle mix here two times. We recently adopted him. He had been abused and is fearful of new people. The staff and the groomer, Hector, were great with him! I have used other groomers with previous dogs, and I can honestly say that they are reasonably priced and do a great job! They are tucked away in the center with CVS and Starbucks. A hidden gem!

Pride ‘n Joy has been taken over by new management and renamed «Laundromutt» — cute. Hector, my favorite groomer, is still there. Fernando, the new owner is very cool. He’s got a new way (to us, anyhow) of doggie tooth-​cleaning (may work for cats, I didn’t ask) that is low-​stress and inexpensive. Good place, tucked away in the CVS mall at Ventura and Louise.

First time I came in and asked if they do toe nail trim on my Boston they were very friendly and said yes and took my dog back right away and completed the service promptly. While I was waiting I found a rubber bowl I liked so I asked if I could purchase that. They said you may have it no charge just come back to us again. I of course paid for my service and gave a tip as well. Second visit today I walked in and they brought my dog boogie back and said he doesn’t need it showed me how close they are to the quick and did a shave down free of charge. They told me to come back in a month but they dot want to hurt my dog and take my money for nothing. Both times I’ve been on the men that work the front and the back have provided exceptional and honest service. My dog is like my kid and it is very hard to find someone that you Can trust. I’ve had plenty of bad experiences. I will only go here from now on, thank you for the excellent customer service! Your employees are top notch! It’s not about the money it’s about the care and education they provide!

I have always been comfortable with leaving my fury baby in the hands of their groomers and always extremely satisfied with the outcome of my pup! The new owner of now what is The Laundromutt seems to be very experienced and I am beyond happy to see the new services and management. I am also quite pleased to hear that they have kept the same groomers as they are great at making my baby look amazing every time!

Fernando is awesome! I took all 3 of my dogs to him and they were all so happy and they looked beautiful! I’ve never seen them leave the groomer like this before.
This place is more than just a groomer. Fernando is a well educated and an exceptional vet tech, so you know you can trust him with your pets. He knows what he’s doing all around.
I will be bringing my pets to him regularly to have them groomed. I’m so happy this place opened up!

First time customer at Loundromutt and the service was great. The staff members were very friendly and my puppy was looking & smelling amazing. Great price! I definitely recommend them.

If you are looking for a groomer your dog, look no further! My doggie frequently comes here and I have been more than satisfied every time! My dog is everything to me and he’s a little fiesty but the groomers are so patient, kind, and amazing to him. The owners are very friendly and are sincere about wanting your dog to be the healthiest and the most clean as possible. They also have amazing prices.

This review is based on my experience with the Encino location. Dedicated staff who you can trust with your fury baby. Tony (the receptionist) is always kind and eases my anxiety whenever I drop off my puppy. They give you an accurate time frame of when you can expect to pick up your puppy and sometimes they’re even quicker. You have the option of getting a full grooming package (bath, haircut, etc) or a trim which is almost half the price and includes most of the services except a full body haircut. I’m always happy when I leave pride n joy and see my handsome little guy smiling.

If Unilocal allowed the option to rate –5 stars on this place I would! I took my female Yorkie today for grooming and it was the worse experience I’ve ever had! She came out looking like a stray dog I picked up off the street! I have them the benefit of the doubt since I had taken her there before and I was t too happy, but this time I walked out of there mortified and swear to never take her there again! My yorkie looks like a short hair chihuahua. It took me so long to grow out her hair and now I have to wait another 6 months to get her look back the way it was. I used to be able to put her hair up with a bow and now she had no hair and patches all over her back. If you love your pets, do NOT TAKE THEM HERE!!!

My dad likes taking my dog there and in the past they have done a decent job. However this time they did a terrible job and we ended up paying $ 120 for 2 small dogs including tip. 1 poodle male 6 pounds and 1 poodle female 11 pounds.
We requested a summer cut and said WHATEVER YOU DO DON’T CUT ANY OF MY DOGS HAIR ON ITS HEAD. but clearly they don’t understand. The hair on my dogs head finally grew out a little since the past grooming horror at another groomer so I made sure to stress how important it was to not cut or trim any of his head hair. Well it is very very short and almost stuck to his head. They left some patches here and there all around his body. Poor work.
My female poodle Angel, now thats on a whole other level of TERRIBLE! The hair on her head is even shorter and looks like a kindergartener cut it! Just check out the photos. You can’t make this shit up!
My dad is too nice and took the dogs home and even tipped but noticed when he got home. I just came to get my dogs and I am annoyed and pissed off and feel ripped off!
They didn’t even put a bow or any decoration on them like they used to!
Never again will I bring them there and neither should you!

Keeshond got showered! Nappy puppy of mine couldn’t get any nappier. He was ushered into the grooming salon and came out with a scarf! Check out the coat on this baby! Just make sure that when you are taking your babies anywhere you are specific to the person actually doing the job if you really care about the outcome. Price was average and the customer service was cool. I would take my Keeshond here again.

I love, love, love Pride ‘N Joy! I am writing a review for their Sherman Oaks location which I don’t see listed on Unilocal.
This place is a sure gem in every way.
They groom all three of our family’s King Charles Kavaliers for $ 135!
Last time they groomed, cut their nails, and cleaned their teeth for $ 123!
They also do summer cuts in a snap.
I would give this place 10 stars if I could.
They are the friendliest down to earth staff who care about the dogs… super efficient and well knowledgable.
Tons of love for our regular groomers that we’ve used for over 5 years!

Looking for a place to have my dogs teeth cleaned, anesthesia free, I decided to try Pride N Joy. The last cleaning my dog had was 2 years ago with a mobile cleaner, but I cannot find their name or info anywhere although the results were amazing. I called around to a few places and had quotes ranging from $ 120 – 175 for in-​shop or mobile. Pride N’ Joy charged $ 80. Note that the tech is not on-​staff, but doesn’t matter to me. The results were amazing. My dog is 8 and her teeth looked almost puppy clean.
Since the cleaning was much less than I expected, I decided to give her a bath as well. I have a small dog, 20 pound rat terrier, so the grooming was really just a bath (possibly anal glands as well). I can’t say how they do with cutting/​shaving. I also paid $ 10 extra for a defurminator brushing. I have one of those things at home but $ 10 is worth it to me to not have to spend the time. Her little white hairs get all over the place.
She came out looking great, smelling great and happy.
Although she doesnt need grooming or teeth cleaning all that often, I will most definitely come back here.
If only their cat grooming prices where a bit better though I would bring them here rather than do it myself at home.
