I have been a frequent customer of this place for almost two years now! They are always amazing and it’s the greatest little secret in Encino.

Omg! The tarts are soooooooooo delicious and Leticia, the owner, is wonderfully sweet! My husband and I bought six tarts — chocolate PB, red velvet cheesecake, chocolate pecan, salted caramel, key lime, and s’mores. Absolute favorite was the chocolate pecan but they were all amazing!!! Definitely recommend!

I tried 2 things from this bakery — cake pops and a wedding cake. It was for my brother’s wedding. The cake was absolutely gorgeous — a small, single tiered cake covered in icing that looked like white and purple roses. It was a stunning beauty with equally great flavors. Moist and thick, there were 4 layers of raspberry infused Madagascar bourbon vanilla bean cake. With its subtle sweetness, it was one of the best wedding cakes I’ve had. The cake pops, matching the cakes white and purple scheme with glittery accents, was a beautiful accompaniment. They were a touch too sweet, but still excellent dense bites of chocolate for those wanting a more decadent treat.

My experience with Tart Bites have been nothing but wonderful. I wanted to order a few tarts for my boyfriend’s family thanksgiving dinner. I called and Letizia had helped me over the phone. She asked me different questions to try to match me with the perfect flavors of tart for his family. She was very knowledgable and helpful! When I came to pick up my order she was very welcoming and the store was very cute and charming. She had the order all ready to go. She also gave me a slice of her pecan pie to try since I’ve never had it before also a free lemonade tart for the road. The pecan was amazing I loved every bite of it. Hopefully my boyfriend’s family will enjoy the tarts this thanksgiving. As for me I will be back :) Thanks again!!!

I have to give this place a 5 because it was THAT good all round. First off, Michelle is incredibly welcoming and friendly. The place is so cute and even the packaging is adorable! She decorates each box of goodies by hand. We were able to try a couple of tarts before we decided on which we wanted. The pumpkin cheesecake and chocolate pecan were phenomenal. We also tried a pastry and it was divine. Would definitely recommend this place.

Found this place on Unilocal this morning as I was looking for baked goods in the area. So happy I decided to try this place! The shop itself is small but incredibly adorable. Letizia cheerfully welcomed me as soon as I walked in the door. I was overwhelmed with all the delicious options in front me and Letizia took her time explaining all of them to me since I told her it was my first time. I decided on a piece of coffee cake since Letizia told me it was her Achilles heel. That and the strawberry cheesecake brownies(that I will have to go back and try as they were already out of them for the morning). After one bite, I immediately knew why. The cake was buttery and perfectly moist. It was simply heaven! She also said since it was my first time, I could choose any mini tart on the house! After a long deliberation with myself, I finally settled on the salted caramel tart. Gooey salted caramel oozed out as I bit into all the chocolatey goodness! Simply amazing! I didn’t get a chance to take a picture of either one as I ate them both in about 2 minutes. Bottom line, exceptional food and impeccable service! This place is a MUST try!!!

Tart Bites exceeded my expectations in so many ways this weekend! I got married on July 18th, which turned out to be one of the biggest storms in CA July EVER. We had an all outdoor venue in Topanga Canyon without a nearby backup plan. Tart Bites made sure to get all of the beautifully hand crafted woodland themed desserts over to the new venue and arranged them perfectly upon arrival. All of my guests were in awe over the intricate designs. The desserts were so delicious that they were all gone almost as soon as we got there! My husband and I and close family enjoyed the fantastic almond and chocolate buttercream cake the day after the wedding, since all of our reception plans changed due to the rain. I highly recommend Tart Bites for their enthusiasm, helpfulness, and super delicious desserts. I am forever thankful to them!

This place is hidden but if you love chocolate with rich and heavy taste this is the place to check out. It’s a specialty not one you will find in your regular twix or snikers bar. If you’re around, try it out.

I came here because I needed a snack, was craving something sweet, and saw that this place was close and has good ratings. The lady behind the counter(I think it was Kelly) helped me. She was so sweet(pun intended). She found out that I’m a newcomer to the LA area and also a first-timer to the bakery, and so offered to let me try one of their tarts for free based on what my taste is(chocolate). I tried the salted caramel, which was amazing. Since I already tried the salted caramel, I ended up purchasing the key lime and the chocolate peanut butter tarts, a vanilla petit fours, and a brownie. They were really good. I’m not a huge sweet tooth, I just have my cravings now and then, so I would have just given this place 4 stars, because based on taste, it didn’t blow me away — it’s hard to do that as someone who has a savory palate. But the reason I’m giving this place 5 stars is because the service was amazing. I had a nice conversation with Kelly who showed me pictures of a colon cake they were making for a GI doctor’s party. She personally found it gross, but said they do their best with whatever requests they get from their patrons. She then showed me more pretty pastries they’ve made for other catering events so I’m not left with the image of the colon as my first/last impression of this bakery — LOL. She was so funny, sweet, and down to earth. I really felt like I could come here for anything I wanted, they would do a good job, and I wouldn’t get ripped off. Would definitely recommend for a small craving, a small girl’s night, a present for someone, or a big catering event!

Kelly and Letizia are amazing. These tarts are delicious. I needed 2 dozen for a party this past weekend. I ordered 12 of the famous Key Lime tarts, and 12 of bakers choice. They were a huge hit. Luckily there was one left for me at the end of the night. Service is always great, the store is great. Amazing service and always a smile. These ladies have a good thing going. Let’s keep it that way. Great job!

***SERIOUSLYAMAZING*** Kelly & Letizia did an EPIC job on the dessert table for my wedding. You name it, we had it! Macaroons, Cake Pops, Cookies, and Cupcakes… Oh My! My dessert table was something out of the movies… beautiful in every way. And my wedding cake was a masterpiece! They are super creative, fun loving professionals who go above & beyond… The best part? They get just as excited as you do! And when your wedding is being filmed for television you only want the best! Who needs the Cake Boss when you’ve got Tart Bites? Visually stunning & equally delicious!

I first called to ask how much gluten free stock they had in. I have celiac disease, & Letizia sensitively confirmed their stock & I drove in. The shop is little & inviting(park in back) & smells like a bakery with a coffee house inside. Letizia came out & explained all the flavours & techniques. I bought the following gluten free minitarts & went home to try them: Lemon drop: fresh lemon flavour in a light, cohesive crust. Very satisfying. A wonderful introduction & an instant favourite. Salted caramel: decadent! Messy! Fantastic! The house-made caramel is on the bottom nestled in a subtle chocolate crust & covered with a firm fudge. It is ridiculous. If you love real caramel & chocolate, this is your new obsession. Key lime: Oh. Em. Gee. No jokes about us Limeys & our love of lime; this is my favourite. It’s tart, luscious, sweet, illuminating, majestic. I want to live inside it. You can visit me there. In short: Tart Bites is phenomenal. Go now.

Visited for a Unilocal Elite and event to sample some their most popular tarts! The owner and associates are so kind and welcoming. They set up samples of six of their best selling tarts as well as coffee and their house passion iced tea. I tried the Key Lime Pie, Red Velvet, and the Lemon Blueberry all of which were great! My only wish is that they made the tarts a little bigger, like a personal fruit tart, because they are so yummy!

This place is delightful! Thank you Unilocalers! I found this little gem of a place just doing a search for pastries and boy did I hit a gold mine! I can’t rave enough about the passion the owners/bakers have about what they create. And it definitely translates into their tarts. The ingredients are pure and made in house as much as possible. The customer service is amazing! The product is fantastic! The whole experience is wonderful! I am not a fan of red velvet but the red velvet tart was lovely! I also tried the raspberry cheesecake tart and it was perfection. I love these mini bites of heaven! I will definitely be back!
