I purchased one of G-Spa’s promotional spa packages which included a facial, a nail service, and a haircut for $ 47. I got this package back in August and had been trying to schedule an appointment since late September, but I kept getting an automated message that said the salon was facing«challenges». Finally, I got in contact with Cinthia from Bullseye Promotions, the agency that sold me the package, and she informed me that the salon is now closed indefinitely. I asked for a refund and was informed that it was not the responsibility of the promotional agency to hand out refunds, which is an issue. How can I get a refund from a salon that is no longer operational? Did Cinthia essentially just admit she scammed me? Also, be warned all you coupon hunters! I still see G-Spa offering groupons and deals online, despite being closed. While I can understand that emergencies pop up unexpectedly, what I cannot understand is a company continuing to offer promotions when they are CLOSED indefinitely. All in all, G-Spa, and their associates Bullseye Promotions, receive a 0⁄10. Would not recommend to a friend.

I wasn’t impressed the first time I went. I tried it again, and for the 2nd time they mostly failed. The hair wasn’t cut has I asked & I explained it multiple times besides it being a simple basic cut & simple layering. Then, when she tried to dye the hair it did not come out to the color she said it would. It’s like she needs to learn the chemistry of dying hair and the color balance. She also said it wouldn’t turn orange and it did! 1 shade lighter blonde shouldn’t turn your whole head a funky orange color. I will never go back, especially when I have to spend money to fix their mistakes that shouldn’t have happened in the first place! Not worth my money. There are way better people in this town and I almost feel Super Cuts could do a better job or actually listen to how I asked multiple times to cut my simple hair. The stylist should learn how to listen to their clients!!! Every head of hair is different!

I don’t like writing negative reviews either but I purchased in August one of their certificates for several treatments to be used in three different visit. I asked the woman that sold it to me if the spa was not closing… or anything of the sort… she assured me they are not. Finally ready to redeem a visit(they expire November 15th) I called only to receive a recorded message stating the spa is temporarily closed due to «Spa issues»(or problems), then I was asked to leave name and phone number… nobody called me(I stated in my message the reason for my call). I called again two days later. same response. I hope they either re-open and honor the certificate(with extended date) or refund my money. I only purchased because years ago I bought the same kind of deal for another Aveda concept spa and it worked out great! Slim hopes…

Really don’t like posting any negative reviews, but i felt i should after my few encounters. So here are my thoughts about this salon. I received a gift card package from my best friend for my birthday. It included a facial, a color treatment, and a mani pedi. Working crazy hour weeks, makes it difficult for me to get in and get pampered. I called the first time and scheduled my appointment for my facial. My boyfriend needed to leave town that weekend and i needed to cancel to take him to the airport so i called early morning of(my appointment was at 3pm and apologized and canceled). the front desk staff who later i found out was the owner when i actually got in on a separate occasion, gave me a hard time about it, and said they required at least a 24 hour cancelation policy, which i completely understand but emergencies happen and if I’m giving you a curtsey of calling i feel you should be a little flexible. anyways i called back in and scheduled the color treatment and blow dry. I came in, sat down in the chair, we discussed me wanting to get some red undertones out, she mixed the color and applied it in the shampoo bowl. 15 minutes later i was washed out, and brought back to the chair for blow dry. when the stylist asked what i wanted, i said just straight with volume, and 2 minutes into the blow dry asked if she can curl my hair. the look she gave me right away told me she doesn’t want to do it, and i might as well stick to straight because ill leave with a half done job. Anyways 20 – 25 minutes later i was done with my blow dry. Left to the front to checkout. I gave the owner my gift card, he stamped it, and i asked if i can tip her(no matter whether i was happy or not) on my credit card. He said yes, and then proceeded to tell me a story about how soon he will not do it on the credit cards because he pays high fees on it. I booked my next visit for the facial. The day of my facial i got a call the esthetician is sick and they will have to rebook me. But i worked my whole day around coming in to fit the SALONSSCHEDULE! I understand emergencies happen people get sick, but if your a stickler for cancellation policies and you expect me to understand, you probably should of been nicer to me when i had my own issue to take care of. Anyways once it was all said and done, i walked out the door. I still have 2 services pending, really debating whether i even want to come back in to get them done.

I made an appointment with Jennifer and she confirmed it and I even got an auto confirmation via text but when I arrived they didn’t have it on the books and Jennifer wasn’t there. No one called no one canceled. I came from the west side through traffic. It’s not a way to do business.

I had my hair done by Aaron a few months ago. I asked for subtle balayage and he did a terrific job! My roots have been growing out and the color still looks so natural. I highly recommend.

I moved from San Diego to the valley not long ago and this was the 4th salon I tried… So since I’ve been an AVEDA fan I found them at Aveda’s website. So here’s what I think: 1– Great Ambiance(clean and bright!) 2– iPad’s instead of magazines 3– Great music Selection!!(jazz, rock, bossa nova etc) 4-Very friendly staff 5-Talented hair stylist(JEN) 6-She got my color just peeeeeeerfect… loved it so much. 7– PRICES are good(note Ive been in 3 other Aveda salons before, this one had the best prices) I’m gonna make a note here about why I’m not giving 5 stars(at least not today) and its because they got double booked, so what happened is: I got there at 10AM and left at 3:15 and wasn’t able to get my pedi either. Now, I’m 100% sure this was an isolated incident, Jen was working her A** off, like a PRO, The owner(Gary I believe its his name) was checking on her constantly to make sure everything was okay, if she needed anything etc. That’s great team work right there. I guess the most important thing here is that I felt welcomed and prettier when I left and I will be back! I’m sure I’ll be giving a 5 star after my next visit. Thank You :)

I actually live in Arizona, but am in Los Angeles one a month or so to visit my parents. My schedule has been so crazy and I was desperate to have my hair done. I must have really been desperate as I NEVER let an unknown touch my hair. I walked into this Salon as it was down the street from my parents and asked what products they used etc. They were extremely welcoming and accommodating. I was directed to a lovely young lady name Jen who retouched my color and did a Phenomenal job!!! I couldn’t of been happier. The truth of the matter is that I was actually happier with this color than I was with my regular stylist in Phoenix. I am sorry that I do not live in California, but will defiantly return as I am there often. Lovely staff — great experience! Thank you!!!

Went to G Spa with a groupon. Aaron did amazing job with my hair! It’s a full service spa and everyone is super nice! Got a complementary mini facial while my hair was being washed and conditioned. Amazing experience. Loved Aaron! Will be going back!

I’ve been here 3 times, all with Aaron as my stylist. The first 2 tines were just for a trim but the third time I got highlights for the first time and I love the job he did. He’s never boring and can keep up a conversation for hours, which is great because I’m pretty quiet! He’s super nice, I definitely recommend him :)

Not to pleased with the highlights they were not distributed nicely and now after 2 months I have to go get them redone because it just doesn’t look rite. Sorry I tried to like it but im just not into them. Have to go spend another 100 today to get the highlights fixed.

This review is based on my experience with the owner. I booked the appt and told him ahead of time that I am planning to use a groupon. He advices me to not buy the groupon and that he will honor the groupon price. When he charged me i noticed that he charged more than the groupon price. When I point this out to him and also show him prove by opening the groupon app. His answer is he has no idea why groupon is offering the price they are but it must be a discount on their end and they are eating the cost. I didn’t feel like arguing with him so i paid and left. If he had offered to match the price on groupon or even just apologize he would’ve gained a customer but he decided to take the other route. I would’ve been back for balayage but now I will take my business to another salon nearby.

Jen did my hair and it came out amazing!!! Firstly let me feel you I had my hair worked on prior and the salon I went to botched my hair so she had a good amount of work ahead of her! I went from rags to riches it only took 4.5hrs and trust me when I say I expected it to last 8hrs because of the amount of work she had to put in! She walked me through what she was going to do step by step!!! Everyone was very sympathetic to my hair disaster!!! I would recommend Jen and this salon for sure.

«Junior stylist’ turned my hair black — and would not re-do color to repair. Looks like the G Spa has some good reviews, so, perhaps my experience is unique — but — buyer beware -«Jr stylist» works for less $$, but unfortunately you also get what you pay for.

I recently went to get my hair done at The G Spa by the awesome Aaron. He did beautiful things to my hair. He lightened a good portion of my very long hair with the bayalage technique and then added a fun teal color over that. Then he fixed my botched DIY layering job to perfection. He’s very cool and down to earth. I enjoyed the conversations we had. I definitely plan to have Aaron do my hair again. I was also very impressed with how committed to being green the salon is. There were fresh towels in the bathroom instead of paper towels and iPads instead of magazines. The owner Gary is very knowledgable of the Aveda products. He was super nice and always checking with me and everyone to make sure we were comfortable. I felt like a queen the whole time I was there.

I had originally come here via a Groupon for a manicure/pedicure, but hadn’t tried the hair salon. When my birthday rolled around I received an email saying I get a free wash and blow dry. I came in and was completely pampered from start to finish with a scalp massage, facial mini massage, a latte, and just perfect curls for my birthday bash. I enjoyed my experience and was so pleased that his was all for free! I will definitely be back :)

Jen is absolutely Amazing! So far favorite. My experiences at the G-spa have been nothing but Perfection, the«Dry Bar» has nothing on her. I love how I can just relax and enjoy my service without having to worry about how my hair will come out and if she’s using the right products, because she knows what she’s doing & she’s good at it! Not many people can do what she does in the time frame that she does it in, with the passion that she does it with. I recommend her to anyone who wants to look and feel fabulous
