Ace Grooming By Sara

I love the owner Sara, she always does her best to make me happy! She lets me know when my dogs needs extra attention from the vet. I also love her do it yourself dog wash. She is the only person that can clip my daughter’s dogs toenails, every time my daughter visits from Phoenix a trip to Sara is a priority!

This was in August 2014, but I just realized this was a draft review I never finished writing. Took my Havanese in for a grooming. Asked that they trim about half off and that they cut her nails. Her nails were not cut and her length was still too long. She also seemed frightened when I picked her up. I will not be returning.

I came here because of recommendations from customers. I took my dog here twice. The store is very dirty and there’s a lot of product but a lot of it looks very old (I saw a VHS tape of some kind for sale). All the staff just don’t seem to be very friendly. They can get you scheduled quickly which is appreciated. They did a good job grooming my dog, I have a poodle mix so it’s a lot of hair. However, my dog just didn’t smell awesome like when I’ve picked her up from other groomer’s. It almost smelled like they bathed her and then she sat in a kennel for a while and then they cut her hair. Also, when you look through the little door to the grooming area it just looks bad, unorganized and dirty. Their pricing is cheaper than others and they’re close to my house but for $ 10 more I can find a cleaner, friendlier place.

I went yesterday for grooming services, when I spoke over the phone a week ago or so for specific details I decided to make an appointment in advanced, everything looked fine to me and they were very polite. When I get into the place it wasn’t like I’m used to. The store doesn’t looked like in place, a little messy around the store and the cages has some sort of vaccuum hoses (I didn’t asked for this last thing)…
Then, the owner told me I was late and I explained her why I was late… (this place is very close to my home and I thought that I could find it using the GPS because I’m new in the area but never find a big SiGN of the store) well, after all I am totally aware of their late policy, if you get 15 mins late, they suppose to rescheduling your appointment but they definitely didn’t do it, instead, they decided to take care of my dog the same appointment date. The owner said it would be approximately 4 hrs to taking care of my dog then they’d call me when he is ready. I called after past 3hrs and 45mins asking if they did something to my little baby and she didn’t understand what I was saying so I went straight to that place, when I got there they just did the bathing and brushed up so I specifically asked them for a Full Grooming service, she said I was late so they were running behind schedule but it wasn’t my fault, they decided to take my dog when I was late instead of rescheduling. After that she asked me they would be there until 6pm so they’d finish something in between so I could pick up my dog later than the hour she told me first time. She was VERY VERY upset and bitter with me because I picked him up at the time she told me to but they didn’t finish with the grooming service I asked and letting me know that was my fault getting late to my appointment. So I decided to leave instead of pick up me dog on almost closing time BECAUSE it is not my fault having my baby in a place like this for more than 4hrs even for more than 6 hrs like she was insinuating me.
That ‘s right this place is cheaper compare to others BUT does not worth the money, your time and your dog’s anxiety to be in a cage for longer hours to get everything done.
You can try this place at your own risk maybe you will have luck like others or maybe not so I wish you the best, but not me, I’m not going back to this place anymore…
Mi advice to you are the followings ask many details and questions you may have, go to the place before and look nearby and READ every helpful online reviews before making any decisions.

Not a very good place. It’s dirty and they did a poor job of grooming my dog. I asked for the furmanator process which reduces shedding and they said they would do it. However, my dog is still shedding only days after her bath. Since this is close to where I live, I thought I would give it a try but I won’t go back. Had better results from Petsmart.

I would stay away from this place. I’ve been here on several occasions, and after the last visit will never go back. I took my dog here for a bath and nail trim. They use drying cages and don’t groom a dog from start to finish like others in the area, meaning your dog can end up waiting between steps and it takes much longer than it should. This can also lead to more stress for nervous dogs. I picked up my dog and he had scabs all over his body, and wouldn’t let me anywhere near his paws– which was a new thing after they trimmed his nails. There are much better places in the area, and while Ace Grooming may be cheap, you get what you pay for.

We take both our Maltese and our Lab here. It is one of the only place where you can get both dogs groomed for under 100 dollars. They are true dog lovers and do a good job.

This was a terrible groom job for our dog. One week after, and he looks like he was chopped like something out of an Alfred Hitchcock movie. Long tufts here, very short there. His paws were not symmetrical, and the hair was removed from one ear and not the other. His face is a mess, his chin not clipped at all. We are on a tight budget and cannot afford to have him groomed for another few weeks, and it is so sad to look at him and what was done to him by this supposed groomer. I should have known something was wrong when I had to pay before I saw him! Don’t go here.

They have groomed our Golden Retriever mix since 2008. She was a rescue dog and we did try other local groomers for the first two years of having her and was told she was aggressive and needed to be medicated when she was groomed. However, we were referred to Sara and told she was wonderful with animals. This is completely true — our dog loves this place! Since we took her here in 2008, there has not one issue with grooming. We actually live up North but are willing to drive all the way down here because they do such an amazing job. We highly recommend Sara and her crew.

I LOVE Sara! She does a great job with my dogs. I buy my pet food there. I highly recommend her!

Ace Grooming is one of the best groomers in the Denver Tech Center offering first class services for reasonable prices. I have been using her services for over 10 years and two generations of dogs for bathing and grooming services. In that time as owner of Baby’s Wonderful World of Dachshunds, I have referred numerous dog owners to Ace due to her patience and gentleness with pets. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND ACE GROOMING AND SARA FOR HER SERVICES, HER FACILITIES, REASONABLE PRICES, KNOWLEDGE AND CARING. To my pets Sara is the «Dog Groomer Whisper». :) They are not initially overjoyed on getting a nail trim and bath, but once they get in the door and see Sara their tails start wagging and a toy later after the event all is forgiven. Both Baby and Rusty get the best care possible and I do not hesitate leaving them there to be groomed and treated right. I also bring Crystal (my long haired domestic cat) to get shaved monthly!

Not worth the money. I went here because it was closer than my traditional groomer. I asked them to do a few specific things and they said they could do them all and upon picking my dog up he wasn’t groomed to my expectations. It’s been a month and he already needs to be groomed again.
