Went there last night for dinner after I went dress shopping. I am from out of town and got this recommendation from the dress shop to go here for dinner. We were a party of 9 and Mezza Luna was very accommodating when I needed to switch my reservation. The food is amazing! I am from New York and can be very picky as well as the rest of my party and no one had anything negative to say. The calamari was one of the best I’ve had and I try calamari everywhere I go! The breading on it is fantastic! Their mozzarella caprese was delicious as well. I had a chicken special which was breaded chicken with bruschetta and mozzarella cheese and veggies on the side with balsamic vinaigrette. OMG the chicken was amazing as was the dressing. I didn’t care for the veggies but that’s just because I like my veggies a little more over cooked but that was my fault for not saying so. I was so full anyway from the chicken I don’t think i would have gotten to the veggies. If your in the area I would definitely recommend this place!

I’m giving one star because I’m actually still wall waiting for an order I placed an hour and a half ago online. I’ll give more stars if, when it arrives, it tastes good. Just moved to the area and wanted to find a good spot to order food. UPDATE — Mezza Luna contacted us and tried to make this right, which I appreciate. They called me back after researching my order further and when they realized I was quoted 40 minutes when I placed the order and it actually took 90 minutes. Some of our food was cold and part of the order was slightly wrong but they were very apologetic and explained that they were unexpectedly busy given the end of Passover. I am updating this to 3 stars because I appreciate that they took the time to apologize and they did give us a credit in the amount of our meal to use toward another order.

Great food, great service you have to wait but it’s Saturday night so I understand. You always need to wait if the food is great…

Delicious pizza. I usually have the Salad one or Brooklyn pie. Always delicious. Great staff and family. I also enjoy their byob restaurant. Awesome choices and a lot of gluten free choices which makes my husband happy. You will not be sorry here

When I’m heading south on Route nine to visit my mother I will stop by Mezza luna for they’re delicious pizza. I work in Staten Island which is famous for their Italian food/pizza and I have to say Mezza luna blow them away.

This place is a solid go to Italian restaurant. With so many options in the area, this gives probably the best value for the best food. Plus it is BYOB so that is always a huge plus. When ordering an entrée you get a salad or soup to start plus some pretty good bread. Italian is never my go to cuisine to go out and eat for, but I am okay with going here!

Mezza Luna is the best restaurant for Italian food in this area. There chicken Parmesan and the salad pizza are absolutely the best! Large portions and fair prices make this a great place for a great lunch or dinner. Penny k

Good food and cute self-sitting room in the back that my 4-year old loves. He also loves the whole wheat pizza, so no junk and good family time — best of both worlds.

This is my favorite restaurant in town. No questions asked. Their food is incredibly delicious with great portion sizes and even better prices. They’re also beyond accommodating, with additions, sauces, putting things on the side, etc. I’ve been coming here whenever I am home and am always greeted by the guys and servers. This place is the absolute best!!! If you haven’t already, try something with the house dressing or vodka sauce– drop dead delicious!

We’ve been ordering here for almost a decade now and we almost always seem to get some great tasting pizza in the end. The Sofia salad is also a great choice I will say though that they are prone to a few mistakes here and there whether it be the staff themselves or sometimes a subpar pie. Although this is uncommon and most of the time it’s forgivable so dont take it too serious. All in all like I said ordering for almost a decade and I dont think we plan on stopping. So for those looking for some of the best tasting pizza in NJ this is a must try for pizza lovers.

Pizza is good here but the dinners are just ok. It’s hit or miss here if the employees are going to be nice or not. But good pizza deals on Tuesdays

My family’s favorite local Italian restaurant. Great food, no matter what we order. Also, I’ve gone enough that I know some of their rotating specials and they’ve always accommodated a special request to have something that wasn’t on the menu for that night, so bonus on that front, too! Sometimes the service is a little slow if it’s really busy, but overall it’s still a really good deal(especially since it’s BYOB).

As you approach Mezza luna keep in mind it’s not an easy place to find in the back of the Town Point shopping center behind a chase bank smack dab in the corner. Keep your ears open because you will hear the Italian music flowing letting you know what direction to walk. The effervescent scent of tomato gravy and garlic fills the air upon entrée. There are 2 sides the casual pizzeria with a TV and take out with a few tables. The formal dining room lies to the right with a clear division. Plenty of tables scattered about in this long rectangular dining room with pics of old Italy upon the burnt yellow walls with mahogany finish and accents. Pleasant Italian music fills the air. No TV’s in the dining room. The menu is quite extensive with every & all Italian dishes known to man Lol. The Neapolitan cold antipasta $ 10 with prosciutto, sopressota, fresh mozzarella, parmigianino, olives, plum tomatoes, roasted red peppers, basil, garlic and olive oil was fresh & oh so divine. This was a lunch visit so being a carnivorous veal type of a guy I couldn’t resist the $ 10.5012in. sub. Veal pressed and breaded so delicately practically melting in your mouth splattered a top is a wonderful gravy with the perfect combo of acid & sweetness & a hint of garlic not too watery or thick, making mamma proud. I kept licking my lips over and over again. The service was good. Food exceptional. I reserve my right to raise my rating from 4 to 5 after my second visit and perhaps a dinner excursion. From the look to smell to taste, I feel quite confident that this place is gonna go straight to the top of my list of Pisano joints to swear by in the fine state of New Jersey. Throw in the fact that they’re a BYOB and you got a winner kids.
