Buffet House

I gotta say I would never pick Chinese food, a buffet, as my 1^st, let alone 4^th option of food when it comes to what I want to eat, but this place happened to have good reviews on my MapQuest so I decided to give it a try. This place is bombbbbb! Soooo soooo soooo good for a Chinese buffet. It’s actually one of the best Chinese buffets I’ve eaten at! So many options, lots of fresh trays being made ongoing, and attentive staff. The price was decent too! I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in town!!!

After a long time if closing for renovation. This place is finally open and it looks pretty neat and classy. And the important part food is still the same, GOOD! They also added Mongolian stir fry area which is just cherry on top.

I stopped eating here nasty buffet last time I went we witness roaches crawling, hair in food, some employees not being clean, bad service, demanded tips, i had to glanced n take a peek at their kitchen and omg! U don’t wanna know what I saw! obviously I got in trouble of doing that but I saw what I needed to see to stop going to that place n to reported to the health department!

Dirty, food tasted cold and weird, low quality… even the ranch dressing tasted funky. Poor customer service. Will never ever return.

After eating at another buffet in Chula Vista that was a lot better, I had to update my review rating to a 4 star. I think Buffet House can do better!

Great food for a great price! Quite a variety! You can allso get it to go, just ask for a foam tray to go. You fill it and they weigh it when you leave (about $ 6 to $ 10, if its crammed full).A brief idea of what they have to offer, shrimp (breaded and undreaded with butter).Beef flavored rice, egg roles, steak and brocoloi mix, grilled Salmon, grilled chicken strips, breaded fish, vegtible mix, sushi, fruit bar (with a wide variety of fruits) a few deserts. plenty of seating. They even have group seating hidden in the
favorite place to eat. Edit, I stopped there today, as of January 20^th 2015 and there still remodeling, (no carpet, bare walls, no furniture, jack hammering going on inside).Looks to me like another three or more months worth of work. Call to see if their open…

I like this place. I don’t understand how people can complain about the quality of food here you get what you pay for. I like this place and will be coming back which me and my family have been doing for years already

The asian lady in the entrance CONSTANTLY PICKED HER NOSE!!!

The food is good if you enjoy bland?
IT wasn’t bad and it wasn’t great you read between the lines. I can tell you for sure the orange chicken was not fresh AT ALLLLL!
Personally I won’t be back, and not only this place, I have tried a few chinese buffets in North county and they have been mostly comparable.
Drop me a line please if anyone knows of a good one in San diego.
I recently traveled east and there are many great chinese buffets! Why not San Diego?

ZERO stars if I could. First I found a plastic rapper in my food. When I complained about it they said we will give you $ 3 off our dinner. When I went to pay I told them it was 2 adults 1 child they said I needed a birth certificate to show proof of age. I laughed at the lady who could barely communicate due to a language barrier. This is RIDICULOUS!!! I’ll never come here or recommend anyone to this place.

Went twice… The second time we went I actually saw the hostess digging in her nose!!! I stopped eating and never returned. FREAKIN GROSS!!!

I know several people who have gone here and gotten very sick. I personally haven’t eaten here. I walked in one time, it smelled like a dirty diaper so I walked out.

BEST buffet in Escondido area hands down! Great food at a decent price. They have a sushi bar, salad bar, fruit bar and dessert bar aswell. We come here starving leave super full. The customer service is average could be a bit better (asians) running the place so what do you expect. All in all a great place to eat.

Will not return. I used to enjoy this buffet even with the questionable service but after the latest experience it will also be the last experience.
While eating my friend noticed there was a long hair in his food. Needless to say he wasn’t hungry anymore. We let the waiter/​busboy know about and he got his manager. The manager instead of apologizing though said that it wasn’t their cooks or their food runners, basically nothing but excuses and no sort of apology. She then offered a discount which was maybe a dollar, if that.
The fact that they took no blame and instead put the blame on another customer shows me how much they care about any of their customers. Will never return.

Do not like the food. They use dirty wash clothes to wipe down the tables. They are very rude. They barely speak English and want you outta there in 30 minutes. Don’t go there

Goodish. Eat lunch here about once a month. The food is pretty good, plenty of it too. The servers are not very nice, just busy but they keep the glasses full, and bring the check promptly. I’ll be back.

It’s a typical buffet, you know the kind with just below average quality chicken and beef, the generic sauces in non generic containers.

I was actually pretty impressed with this place. It was very reasonably priced for a buffet and the food was actually pretty good. I only got one dish that I didn’t like, but you can’t win them all. The soups were really good and I loved the coconut shrimp. The service was not amazing, but that is kind of par for the course when it comes to buffets. I only saw one server the entire time I was there; as a server myself I understand the stress of taking care of that many tables by yourself. You simply can’t be everywhere at once. We did have to wait quite a while for drink refills, but really that was the only down fall. I left full and happy! :D

So the parents wanted to go out to eat and after careful consideration on my part I decided to go with them. Initially I did not want to go with them as they would be going to this place, which I am not a fan of based on the previous time I was coerced by them to go over.
So we get there, about 3 minutes apart, they are sitting down, great!
Go sit, and wait for the server for some water, 5 minutes gone, no server so I get up and go serve myself some food… get an array of what they have just to test it, again, and maybe serve myself a full plate of something.
Come back sit down and finally server stops just for long enough to take one drink order (my brother arrived at the same time I did) and forgot about me. I guess I’ll just use the extra water you brought for him and call it a day.
The food, well let’s just say I’ve had better. I think the best for me was the Teriyaki chicken but even then it was questionable. I’ve had Teriyaki in many places and this was not anything like what I have always had, good but not Teriyaki. On top of that it was sitting on top of a greasy looking buffet container. They had some meat as well, but the meat was overly cooked (well done) and though there was an ok taste, it shouldn’t have been cooked that much.
Overall…let’s not admit we went there! Will I go again? Only if I’m dragged and have no other option. Drive a few more miles and hit up the Hometown Buffet, I think they have some Asian inspired options now!

At $ 12 per person the Price is great! And it includes unlimited drinks? Come on! It doesn’t get better than that!

I had eaten here before and the food was good and the employees were nice. But for some reason today the food was cold, even when it was just brought out and had been sitting on the heaters. When this issue was brought up to management they basically said, that everything was hot, and they weren’t very kind about it. But I think it wil be a while before I eat there again.
