I’ve been to Nordstrom a lot with my wife, but I recently got food at the café for the first time. It’s located on the first floor of Nordstrom by the entrance on the other side of the mall(if that makes sense) next to the baby/kid section. There was a lot of things on the menu that sounded good. I ended up ordering this: CHICKENTOMATOALFREDO11.75 ~ 762CAL penne pasta, organic baby spinach, roasted tomato, alfredo sauce, parmesan cheese It was really good and a pretty good portion as well. I ordered it to go so they packed it up in a box. The wait wasn’t that long for the food. They have a good amount of indoor and outdoor seating here as well. The prices are on the higher side but the food is really good. I think the next time I come here I want to try out the other food to see if I really like this place. Overall, this place is good and I’d recommend it to anyone who wants to grab a quick meal and doesn’t want to go to the food court at the mall or a big restaurant.

Love love love the tomatoe soup. You can also buy it in a glass jar for later although you have to add cream! I always ask for extra crostinis. I usually pair this with one of their flat bread pizzas which are delicious. If I go during lunch I’ll spend around $ 16 which includes soup and pizza. Service is also great they are very attentive. I always get the same gal when I go and never leave disappointed. Great lunch spot and also located inside the mall which makes for great location and good eats when your done shopping It’s a order and then sit down kind of place, nothing super fancy for being Nordstroms.

This place is fresh, healthy and tasty. I love their turkey, Apple and cheese panini. Their grilled shrimp salad is good as well. Everything is reasonably priced. I’ve never gotten something here that I didn’t like. You get your food pretty quickly. The tomato soup is also always a great option.

Always a good choice. The tomato soup is the best hands down. I always ask for extra little cheese bread to dip in the soup. The Santa Fe chicken sandwich is my go to favorite. The chicken is delicious. Perfect size portion. Staff is always friendly and on point with refills. The kids Mac and cheese is also delicious.

Great place to eat! Chicken tomato Alfredo was delicious and the sangria was so delicious. Karla my server was great and Omi another server had great attitude and so much energy I would have thought he was the manager. Wonderful experience and I will definitely return.

Great place to have lunch, excellent service and good food as well. I love coming here on Saturday evenings because there’s a really nice quiet atmosphere and is never too crowded. They have the usual as the other Nordstrom Cafes including their delicious signature tomato soup and the assortment of different salads and sandwiches. This location is a bit smaller but there’s never a line when I’ve come on weekends and is centrally located on the first floor of Nordstrom. I wish they had a little more variety in desserts, and in entrees like the Fashion Valley location but the North County Nordstrom is also smaller as well so it makes sense for this MC to also be smaller than the FV location. As always, they have excellent service at the Nordstrom Cafes and most of the items are the same as the other Marketplace Cafes. All in all, I always have a consistently good experience eating here, and would love to return for another lovely Saturday brunch.

Ok! I’m completely shocked! We’ve had several meals here so far… And all our entrées have been delectable. Service has been outstanding from the beginning to the end, every time. Then… the food! Never would I have guessed that a café in NORDSTROMS in the MALL would have such good food! We had a seriously perfectly cooked salmon fillet! JR you rocked it AGAIN! The manager David runs a tight ship. Keep it up! Thank you!

Now called Marketplace Café it’s a reliable casual dining experience. This last trip was for dinner and I thoroughly enjoyed my meal. — Pizza — Shrimp Salad — Spicy shrimp pasta(My fave) Bonus! Their Kids meals are the star of the show here. Surprisingly affordable, higher quality.

I’ve always seen this place but never thought too much of it because it’s in Nordstroms. Yes it is kind of like Nordys great quality food for a great price in a clean relaxed restaurant. There is no hostess so as you walk up you look at the menu the go to the register to order. I ordered the mozzarella prosciutto on ciabatta and it was very tasty with enough cheese and a generous amount of prosciutto. The sandwich wasn’t overly huge but it was far from small. It came with some chips which were pretty good but nothing amazing. The service was great and I would absolutely eat here again. This place kind of reminds me of a step up from Panera Bread.

Marketplace Café aka Nordstrom Café is my go-to for a simple lunch. I’ve been going here for years and the food here is always made just right. It is located on the 1st floor at the edge of the Nordstrom department. They have a variety of foods from soups, salads, sandwiches, pizza, and other specialties. I always get a grilled cheese sandwich and tomato basil soup. :) Their food is always fresh, and the soup is addicting, it’s my most favorite spot to get the tomato basil, it’s the BEST from Nordstrom. The order I get also comes with a side of fruits for a sweet ending. The service is fine here as the cashier takes your order at the front(just like Panera/Boudin’s/Corner Bakery), and then when you’re seated a server gets the receipt at your table and delivers your food & drink and they give you chocolate mints at the end. The food here is 5-Stars all around. YUMYUM.

I’d give this place five stars if it was triple point week… The food was delicious and the service was on point. Everything from the entrees to the dessert was awesome! Our drinks were replenished without having to ask and our server kept checking in on us. I’ll be back for sure. Shopping and a meal all in one place! Nordstroms knows what they are doing.

I am a once per week café visitor. It’s always the go-to place for lunch and my kids ask for it on a daily basis. The last few visits have been sub par and today’s visit is probably the worst. I have two kids, ages five and three. I come here because it’s usually quick, the kids get crayons, raisins and coloring pages while we wait. Today the server brought one box of crayons, no raisins and our food took 30 min. Maybe it was my roasted chicken that took the extra time but seeing the tables around us who came in well after us almost finished with their meals before we even received ours is just upsetting, especially with two young children. I love the remodel but it seems as though service has been compromised. Obviously we’ll still be going back because my family loves the food.

If you want a cheap delicious meal, you can order the kids grilled cheese with tomato basil soup for $ 5.50 !! You get a full-size sandwich with a cup of soup alongside strawberries and grapes. Can’t beat that!

I would like to nominate the Nordstrom Café for having the best Tomato Basil Soup on the planet! I tend to order the soup with a half sandwich or salad. I’ve been coming here for years and I can honestly say I have never been disappointed. The line at the resister gets long around lunch time, but it diminishes quickly. They always seem to get the food out quickly even when they get busy. I noticed last time that they carry IPAs(I think Stone was one of them), which is pretty unexpected for a café setting, but I like it! Their cookies are delectable too, but if you don’t want to order a full dessert, not to worry! They serve a little stick of chocolate to each customer at every table at the end of each meal!

This is my go to place in the mall to grab a bite to eat. The staff is really friendly and every soup, salad, sandwich and dessert I’ve tried have been on point. I don’t feel like I’m at the mall when I eat here and it’s nice to get away from the hustle and bustle of shopping and enjoy a yummy meal in a nice café style setup. It’s the hidden gem of the«North County Fair» :))

Where does one eat when one knows nothing about anything in this area, needs something relatively fast, but *not* greasy fast food? One searches the app for«nearby» and finds this. Nordstrom Café– a comforting, familiar place. I’ve never been disappointed with the coffee drinks or the food at the Cafes. This one in Escondido is convenient for a bite to eat on the road. Has the usual: everything from soup and sandwich combos to salads. Tomato basil soup, definitely satisfying, comes with a crunchy savoury crostini. Great with half a sandwich and greens. Nice light bistro lunch. Ingredients are fresh, everything is presented well, and the type of food seems healthy enough so I don’t feel too guilty. Besides the whole coffee zeitgeist, Nordies is the other great thing from the great Northwest to take hold in Cali. Much to the delight of most everyone who’s into retail therapy. Thank goodness for Nordie’s.

Nordstrom Café is delicious. Its probably a step up from Panera. I love their Tomato Basil Soup which comes with a crostini. The shrimp salad is also wonderful. I love the polenta that acts as the croutons for the salad. I also enjoyed the mushroom ravioli because it was rich and creamy. The portions are pretty huge so you could probably share a salad and entrée with someone if you wanted to. The service is also friendly as usual.
