Went to this place today for lunch based on the positive reviews and I was not let down. Got the 14″ veggie pizza and my wife and I loved it. I’m going to come back soon to see how the pepperoni pizza is. Went back again(06÷16÷16) for a thin crust pepperoni pizza and it was awesome. The sauce and crust are spot on!

Really good pizza! Too bad they don’t deliver but worth the pick up. Fresh ingredients and awesome crust. Favorite is the supreme. Decent prices too.

It may be slightly better than the ubiquitous Pizza Hut and Domino’s et al. No real reason to ever go back except to maybe purchase for a kids birthday party. A-OK, but barely.

Out shopping, I found that my downtown Escondido fave pizza joint was closed for Memorial Day, and looked up pizza. Pizza Bueno came up with the highest ratings, and I took a chance. A real disappointment. The guy taking the orders was a hustler, and a little bit intense, but he was encouraged that I had never been there before, giving me the vibe the place had just opened. I was looking for a Margarita, which was not on the menu, so I ordered a cheese pie, with basil to go. To my disappointment the guy told me there was no fresh basil in the shop, but there was basil in the sauce. A hint presented itself that this was to be industrial pizza. The place is not a sit-down restaurant, but pretty much to-go only. Only one or two other customers came in while I was there. The service from the woman who prepared the pizza, which a customer can see through a gap below the wall menu was very cheerful, and I expected something tasty. When, I got home my wife and I found that the top of the pizza had burned spots on the cheese, which is not a bad thing if the pizza oven is hot enough, as it should be. But the pizza proved to be cakey, with too much cheese, of some unknown variety, which was supposed to be Mozarella but tasted very much like bagged processed American cheese. It tasted like overcooked cardboard. If you need a measure, it is very similar to Little Ceasers, Dominos, Pizza Hut, or similar chain pizza. Don’t believe the glowing reviews; it looks like the owners have been doing a bit of astroturfing. The price was very reasonable, at about eight bucks, and you get what you pay for. Hope they open an URBN Coal Fired store in Escondido soon.

Excellent, quality pizza and an extremely friendly staff that makes you feel like your business is truly valued! Trust me, they show it in their attitude and generously topped pizzas! They have some unique specialty pizzas that you also have to check out! Try this place once and you won’t want to go anywhere else. I honestly can’t go anywhere else without being disappointed… call me spoiled but these guys are just amazing all the way around! Keep up the amazing work! See you next time!

This was our first time ordering from Pizza Bueno. Chris was very good on the phone, even recommending the pan style crust for the vegetarian pizza because of all the vegetables he uses. I opted for the thin crust on all three large pizzas, and they were perfect! This was our first time and certainly won’t be our last time getting pizzas from Pizza Bueno. Thanks Chris!

Ordered a pizza last night around their closing time, I don’t like eating Pizza Hut and rather support a small business so I thought they shouldn’t mind too much! I’m glad I ordered from them because the pizza was very fresh and tasted great. I ordered a supreme and the toppings were everywhere and very generously added which was awesome! Only suggestion is to add some cheese on top of the toppings so when I pick up a piece it won’t fall off as fast. I’ve orders pizza from this place before and I wasn’t disappointed those times. Keep up the awesome pizza making!

Simply the best Dam pizza in all of San Diego county… and I dare say all of CA! Great staff /owners. Never a bad pizza. Once you try one you will actually crave it. Take out only. but absolutely worth it.

Pizza bueno has awesome pizza the kids love but even better is the gluten free pizza for me! Always ready by the time I get there and always with a smile and true appreciation for my business! Try it with mushrooms! Yum! Yum!

The pizza is good but a bit pricey for the size. $ 19 – 20 for a large TexMex pizza… not enough to fill the tummy with the goodness of the cheesiness. The lady at counter was friendly and pretty enthusiastic. Just minus 1 star for the price and size: C

They serve up very good pizza at a terrific price. A 14 inch pizza-which works out to 8 good-sized slices – with 3 toppings was 14 bucks. And the toppings were plentiful. That’s a great deal. I’ll add that the bacon topping gave a great smoky note to the pie and the fluffy crust was nice and buttery. I’m not saying it’s the world’s greatest pizza but it is very good and for the price, it’s 5 stars in my book. Great values are hard to find these days so we should appreciate them when we find them.

Great pizza! Excellent service. Possibly the best service from a pizza place yet. Cheese bread is also delicious. I will definitely stop back in if I’m ever in the area!

Wow worst place ever. They’re so expensive. They are basically little ceasers. Their food is no better. Cheap ingredients and gross breadsticks. They should rename them cardboard sticks. They’re hollow and some are flat and they seriously look like strips of carboard. I could imagine the guy in the back cutting strips of cardboard and baking them and tossing them in cheese and garlic Theyre tough to bite also. You literally have to rip it. Its like eating beef jerky. So gross! $ 13 for a family special is outrageously stupid. My wife wanted it and i couldn’t say no so we got it anyways. Big mistake. I go to Tasty Pizza on valley parkway and the pizza is better cheaper and the bread sticks are actual bread. Forget this place. They suck sp much!

I really really wanted to like this place. I always see it when i go to the gym for zumba. Well today i decided it was a cheat day and i tried them out The workers were friendly. I ordered the family deal that costs $ 13. It includes a large pepperoni pizza, 2-liter soda, and your choice of garlic or cinnamon sticks. I chose the cinammin sticks. Service was really good, the guy kept offering me stuff left and right. Napkins, cheese, and peppers. So i took it to work and I was ready to eat and I opened my pizza and it looked good. I opened the cinnamon sticks because I really wanted to try them they even included icing on the yummy. Anyways I found out that they gave me garlic sticks instead of cinnamon sticks I got really upset because if they can’t get simple things down like cinnamon sticks I think that says a lot about their business. I called them up just to let the guys working know what happened and I give them kudos for offering to make me some new ones but I kindly declined because I was at work across the street and was on my lunch break and I had already taken plenty of time from my break just to get the pizza and I can’t be spending my lunch break driving around because of their mistake. But the pizza really wasnt that good. Its basically Little Ceasers. Its also pretty expensive. Can’t forget to mention the hollow breadsticks. They seriously look like strips of cardboard from a box laying around throw in cheese and garlic. Check out the pics. Will never return. I don’t get what the hype and all the good reviews are about.

Why 5 stars? Because this place is the American dream. Manned by two cool guys who are loving life and making dope pizzas for a more than fair price. Got the Chicken Bacon Ranch pizza. Tasty crust and heavy on high quality ingredients. Matched it up with a solid Saint Archer Blonde Ale from Vons. Bliss! Will definitely be back next time I come down from LA!

It’s a pizza you definitely have to give a try, came in to great staff and great customer service, the positive attitude and vibe was going well so i was eager to try the pizza. The staff broke down the menu for me because it was my first time, he gave me a lot of options to choose from and truthfully not all pizza places do that or explain to you in detail. I was ready to order after a few minutes and when i had told him what i wanted he gave me an even better deal, i wanted to substitute items on the pizza i didn’t want and he told me i can build my own pizza and it would cost less, «sounds like a deal» i said. I ordered the pizza for takeout so i was expecting it to be really good. Once i had enjoyed the 8″ personal pizza i was blown away of how good it was. I had ordered cheese bread as well to go along with it but as i was half way into it i thought to myself it’s too much food, but never enough! I’m more than pleased with the food. The pizza spsaks for itself so give it a try! Not only does pizza bueno and staff provide great customer service, greetings when walking in, but you get an awesome experience. they didn’t try to buy me out by offering me a lot of sides, instead what they did was give me a deal and to me thats loyalty to customers.

I know I’m supposed to write paragraphs about how wonderful this place is, but I’m going to keep it simple: Awesome pizza Friendly staff Clean clean clean shop Why go anywhere else? It’s tough to find a place that puts this much care and love into their product.

Only a wierdough doesn’t like pizza. I have to say this placr stole a pizza my heart. Ok ok these are getting cheesy. Anyways, welcome to my review, it is slice to meat you. Walking up to this place you feel like you are walking up to another regular pizza shop. There are so many in the area that you are not really expecting anything great. You’re in for a treat! The service is outstanding. They are very nice and definitely make you feel welcomed. They dont have an actual dining room but now they have outside seating, which is awesome! The prices are phenomenal! They have specialty pizzas that are a little pricier but still very affordable. A large cheese or pepperoni pizza is only $ 6.49! That beats going to little ceasers. Its not«hot and ready» though, for any pizza you order the wait time is usually 15 minutes, give or take. You can always call in advanced to order, strongly recommend this! Just dont be a jerk face and not show up or show up late and then complain about your pizza being cold. They have lunch specials! From what 10:00am to 4:00pm an «8 pepperoni or cheese with a 20oz drink for $ 6.49. Dont get confused, this is only a personal sized pizza. So a lesson for you, cheese has its own natural grease that it releases when it is melted. If you dont like this just dab it with paper towel. I ordered a single sized BBQ chicken pizza that was just so delicious. The crust is soft and warm. It does not become chewy and hard like others. The bottom of the pizza was nice and crunchy. Dont be mistake! It was not burnt but perfectly cooked. This particular pizza had so much flavor. I cannot wait to try the seafood pizza. The pepperoni pizza was also delicious. It seems greasy but as I explained it is what yoh want it to be, if you dont like it just take it off. I will be coming back time after time. Im so glad its so close to home

How can a place called Pizza Bueno have a perfect Unilocal score? In Summation — I ordered a few pies, a veggie with pepperoni and a BBQ… The crust of the«Hand tossed» tasted a bit like the bread sticks from O’s American Grill(formally Pat and Oscars). Toppings were all good and tasted fresh. The chicken tasted like chicken, not processed /brined. Everything was scarfed down and everyone had rave reviews. You wouldn’t think of Pizza Bueno as a great pizza place by the name or the location, but something about it resonates with the people of Escondido. These Three Things — — Pizza crust definitely has a buttery garlicky flavor but seemed to be an element differentiating it for other pizza places. — Great friendly service — The only knock was the additional toppings are 3 bucks each.

I think the pizza here is bringing out that fat girl in me. I thought I got rid of her but she’s finding her way back. I’ve heard good things about Pizza Bueno so I was excited to try them. There’s always people coming in and out ordering pizza so it’s definitely getting out that they are good. I’ve been a few times already. The crust is amazing. The dough is made fresh daily. I’m all about supporting locally owned businesses. They are so welcoming and friendly whenever I come in. I love that they don’t skimp on the toppings. My go to pizza is always the supreme pizza. It’s loaded with toppings. It has pepperoni, beef, sausage, onions, green peppers, and mushrooms. So delicious. I finally tried the seafood pizza and it’s my new favorite. It comes with a garlic butter sauce, shrimp, crab, bacon, onions, and green peppers. It’s amazing with the garlic butter sauce. Definitely my new go to pizza place in Escondido. Super friendly service and amazing pizza.
