Good store, good service and excellent selection. I have flat feet and if I don’t have very good shoes my knees hurt, a lot. I went through a number of expensive shoes over the years until a friend turned me on to SAS. I’ve been a fan ever since. They may cost twice as much as a cheap shoe but will last 4 times as long. And that’s with 8 hours a day on concrete. And they are a lot cheaper than a knee replacement .I recommend the crêpe sole(flat from toe to heel).

These guys were very helpful. In response to the customer who left a bad review I had a similar predicament but with a different outcome, I was buying shoes for someone and I let the friendly salesperson know that I needed a little extra time because they were a gift, and without hesitation he said«no problem.» Beyond that, I found that since they were a SAS only store, they’re selection and knowledge of the product was unmatched by any of the other multi-line stores in the area. I hope this helps.

I called this store because I wanted to buy my daughter a pair of shoes for Christmas. I have bought shoes at this location for myself in the past. My daughter works in the restaurant business and needs a good non slip shoe for work. They are expensive $ 150. When I was told about their rigid return policy(14 days for exchange only), it made me think twice. Especially since I am 19 days before Christmas. I ended up calling and buying at another store that sells SAS that is more consumer friendly, no problem on refunds or returns. No problem buying now with a gift receipt and can be returned, no questions asked after Christmas. You just lost yourself a sale… and customer Update, 1÷14÷14, my daughter loved the shoes from the other location in Rancho Bernardo and they fit her well. So, your store lost a sale and a customer for no reason. I was really turned off by the treatment I got in the Escondido store and won’t be going back.

Since 1976, SAS shoes have been hand-made in the U.S.A by SAS Shoemakers in San Antonio, TX. I’ve been a true convert to SAS since the last eight years and I refuse to wear any other brand and torture my beautiful feet when going to work. Sure my Pathfinder shoes are now almost double the price of what I paid eight years ago(almost 200), they are really really WORTH it — I won’t need another pair for at least two(maybe three or more years). And, just like New Balance, these also come in a variety of wide sizes, and are very very comfy. The owners or Escondido location are very friendly and helpful. The décor is more or less similar to other locations, kind-of-barn environment. Women styles have more choices, of course!
