Cost Plus World Market

This place is pretty fun, I’ve been going here for years even back in my days of living in Portland. They have some pretty competitive prices on kitchen stuff and lots of one of a kind things that you can’t find elsewhere. The furniture they sell here is overpriced though. I absolutely love their international foods section and their beer and wine section too. the holiday season is especially fun because they carry tons of seasonal cookies, cakes and candies that make great gifts, and they have some really fun wrapping paper and holiday decorations.

I had such a weird experience here, I have to share it. My review isn’t on the merchandise, which is awesome, but on the customer service. I went in yesterday and found a rolling table that I really liked, and took the tag up to the gentleman working one of the registers so that I could keep shopping and nobody else would take the item. It was very cool, and a great deal.
All is good, and I’m enjoying the store until I go to pay, and the woman who works the register next to the one I am at starts telling the man who is helping me check out that I can’t buy the table because it’s discontinued and they want to keep it to serve coffee on some sometimes. Ummmm, WHAT? You want to keep this one random table that’s for sale in your store from being sold so that you can serve coffee on it? Are there not other tables that you could possibly procure to serve coffee that someone isn’t trying to give you money for? And if so, don’t put it out on the floor for sale! And may I mention, this is not even a coffee table. She is very rude, entirely unapologetic, and makes me wait at the register while she walks off talking on a phone and saying she’s going to check if they need it for the coffee service. Ultimately she won’t let the guy at my till sell the table to me and just walks off, no apology, no interest in customer service. If she had been at all apologetic I wouldn’t still feel annoyed, but she wasn’t.
Basically, a really weird experience that makes me no longer want to give this store my business. The man at my my check-​out was nice and apologetic, but it couldn’t at all change the horrible way his coworker acted.

This location is the best World Market I’ve ever been to, and I’ve been to them in three different states. The employees are super kind and helpful, the store is extremely clean and well organized, and the sale items in the food section are always surprisingly delightful.

I love browsing through this place because there are so many eclectic finds here. Cute kitchen items, interesting international foods, and cute paper items. This is a great place to go if you need a gift for someone who likes… whatever. Prices can be a little higher, but considering a lot of what you’re getting is imported, it makes sense!

Typically I don’t like these kind of shops, but World Market is different than other importer type stores. I like the wide variety of teas and snacks. The sundry items like soaps, candles, kitchen supplies, and furniture are pretty vast as well.
The shop is clean and well-​organized, and they have lots of employees willing to help out customers. They have nice merchandise. I definitely suggest visiting World Market if you’re in the Eugene area.

The variety of selection at Cost Plus great. From furniture, to home décor, wines, cheese, and canned food item that are hard to find else where.
The staff is knowledgable, and happy to help, and Cost Plus has a good bonus program if you shop there frequently, or if your going to make a high dollar purchase.

Great store with lots of unique and cool items. Great food choices and some pretty cool home décor items. Pay attention to their ads for some pretty good sales. I have bought several pieces of furniture for 40%-50% off.

This is an excellent world market! They have so much stuff and all for some really good deals! The staff was friendly and helpful and the store was interesting to poke through and find some neat things.

Awesome selection

I enjoy the World Market more that I have a price checker app on my phone. The prices can be competitive with other stores or up in the night, you have to check before buying. Sometimes it is just fun to walk through with the colors and textures to find inspiration for other projects.
They have the cheapest metal tea pots I have found outside of Asia.
There is a sale on dining room furniture for another week.

Ever wanted to travel the world and fill your home with mementos of your adventures?
Well don’t bother with the plane ticket. Swing through World Market and grab all that stuff you could have acquired abroad. Then play a game with your spouse. Any time you have house guests over tell flagrant lies about where you acquired your home décor. Go tit-​for-​tat and see who can weave the most audacious tale.
Oh, this vase? Well we acquired it from a terminally ill Hmong woman on our backpacking trip through Laos. Her final request was to have it placed next to our 60″ plasma LG television.
Oh, that six foot tall tapestry? It was produced by a five year old Quechuan boy in the highlands of Peru. He is well known throughout the district of Junin for both his llama wrangling skills and his proficiency behind the loom.

Just like Dawn, I have to avoid this place or else I’ll leave with a car full of goodies! They have everything from wine, kitchen tables, silverware, scarfs, jewelry, soap, candles, couches, coffee tables, food, shower curtains. Great place to find wedding center pieces and any other form of decorations. Lots of great ideas, lots of great stuff… and if your lucky you can find a show table on sale for 75% off.

Although this is chain, it’s a fun place to shop. You can get your favorites from abroad such as turkish delight, german sausages in a jar and beer, beer, beer! Wonderful selection of beers and wine from abroad. Helpful staff, and lots o shiny sparkly things to entertain you for hours!
