Depending on who’s cooking it can be «ok,» @ best. Don’t order when the younger girl is cooking: she’s terrible, then bitchy about it. The guys who run this place are assholes. Say«good morning» or give them a tip they don’t even acknowledge you. F’k ‘em, my money is worth more than that.

All I can say is «DAMN»! The food is amazing, ordered the club and was not disappointed best club I’ve had in the EUG. hands down. I usually just stop in to grab a six pack of craft beer or fine wine from there enormous selection but I went all in this evening and the wife and I will be back for the grub!

LOVE the food, LOVE the wine selection, and LOVE the coffee. The women who work the deli here however, are incredibly rude and slough around like they’re miserable. The day before yesterday, the younger girl acted like I just ruined her day because I ordered a sandwich. Its a deli, that makes sandwiches, and you’re working there. AND those owners who work their asses off are paying you to do a good job and respect customers, not ruin their business with a sour attitude. Rolling your eyes because I asked for pesto on the side is a bit ridiculous. If you hate your job so much, guess what? You don’t have to work there! Find a new job, probably somewhere where you don’t interact with other humans. I love the place, so I won’t stop going there, but I definitely will never tip that girl again.

I have tried every burger in town and this is by far the best. Nothing fancy, but exactly what I have been looking for.

I would give this place ZERO stars if I could! The long dark-haired waitress didn’t seem to care that my ½ sandwich took over an HOUR to make(& it wasn’t even that busy!) Super rude service from her. Also, she served two others who arrived after me before bringing me my food, but by then my lunch hour was long over & I had to return to work. Another time, I arrived with 2 friends & we ordered 3 burgers & she brought out two. She said she’s still cooking the third, but didn’t bring it out for another ½ hour. By that time it was cold. I’ve permanently lost my appetite for this dirty, run-down dive. If you like waiting an extremely long time & getting rude comments from staff, then this place is for you! If not, I suggest you spend the extra dollar & go to Jimmy John’s.

Have not encountered the grumpy old man cook since my last review and I just recently started going back to this place. Would highly recommend the food!!! Super yummy and definitely a good & reasonable price if you are tight on cash.

I have had food here before and it was excellent. I was excited when we moved within walking distance so we could have easy access to their delicious sandwiches. Unfortunately, I will probably not return after my visit tonight. Rarely do employees piss me off enough to send me home in a bad enough rage to immediately write a Unilocal review. Actually, this is the very first one. So congratulations Jiffy Mart. My friend and I got there at 8:30(they stop making food at nine.) We waited at the counter for the girl to notice us. She looked at us three times but continued cleaning. Finally I asked to order and she said they closed at nine. I looked at my phone and told her it was 8:45. She looked at her clock and told me it was 8:50 which made no sense to me because she had just said they close at nine not eight fifty. She told us she had closed the grill and that we couldn’t order anything. I understand that people want to get out right at close and get on with their life but you should be happy you have a job and not act like the paying customer is a total inconvenience for you. I really fucking wanted that grilled cheese too.

If you don’t understand what a club sandwich is, I would suggest taking your pathetic waste of space down to visit Joe and Tom at the Jiff. Incredible selection of wine and surprising breakfast options will leave you drooling like the German Shepard getting his balls washed next door. You should consider punching yourself in the face if you haven’t been here. Cheers!

I come here at least once a week with my friends after school. The sandwiches are pretty good, but the best thing is the bacon cheddar fries. Ask for tater tots instead and they’re just that much better! Everyone working here is super friendly, and has a really nice, neighborhood atmosphere with tons of regulars. Definitely a great place to sit back, watch the game, and relax.

Shhhh, don’t tell anybody about Jiffy Market. I wouldn’t want my glorious double bacon cheeseburger dripping in smoked gouda with crisp breaded fries all washed down with a can of blue dog mead to be spoiled by all the customers this place would get if only people just knew…

Okay, gotta say, the customer service here is ridiculously inconsistent. I’ve been coming in for about six years and some of the deli folks are wonderful, but some are downright rude. I know that it’s tough to be a one-man(or woman) show at a busy deli counter like this, but that’s no reason to be an asshat towards your customers who just want to place an order. I love the food, and I would come in more often if they got things figured out on the service end.

Seriously good food. Best breakfast sandwiches I’ve found in Eugene. Good coffee, friendly staff and really really low prices on food.

I absolutely hate when people do this… I have been in the service industry for 15 years and I am ashamed and furious about the attitude problem of the woman working in the kitchen. In the past this has been a favorite place for me in eugene, but this was the second time i have had a issue with that woman. The first time she glared at me for about 5 minutes like i was a idiot cause i didnt know what I wanted yet, then scoffed at my choice. The second was today when I found a hair in my sandwich and asked my girlfriend to bring it back inside(I was in car). You would think that if you made a mistake like that a little remorse and even maybe a tad bit of embarrassment. Nope. The lack of both caused my girlfriend to get our money back and leave. The woman glared like we made it up. She wouldnt apologize and she was just down right mean…“Service” Industry, she might be in the wrong one…

The sandwiches are great! Unfortunatelly the owners have a very rude girl working behind the counter that completely ruins the experience there. Every time I come in she is constantly rolling her eyes and is very rude. I am a regular there and the last time I came in she saw me and said«oh it’s you» very rudely. She then turns around with her back to me and I ask if she has a problem with me. I ask this out loud several times and she just keeps her back to me and pretends like I’m not there. I actually have to call in my order ahead of time because every single time I order in person she always does something to ruin my meal. I explained this to the owner and he actually said I wasnt the first customer to have a problem with her. Seriously? If you go do not expect good customer service. Save your money and go somewere were they appreciate your business.

Jiffy! A Eugene hole in a wall! The Club sandwich is huge its like three sandwiches in size. My favorite is the hot pastrami sandwich with everything. Pulled pork lunch special with battered fries is wonderful as well. A close friend lives down the street so I used to go here pretty often. The deli lady is really nice. I normally call in because the sandwiches can take up to 20 minutes to wait for. Sit grab a beer or sit outside when the weathers nice on the patio. Great beer and wine selection as well! Enjoy

I would rate the sandwiches a 4⁄5 but the customer service here is a 1⁄5! I brought my family here during graduation weekend because I loved the sandwiches so much. There were 7 of us who ordered first of all. it took TWOPEOPLE25 minutes to make 5 sandwiches! Which would have been fine because we were in no rush but it took so long because they were talking to each other the majority of the time. I was so embarrassed that I had recommended this place. The red headed girl is so rude! She was constantly rolling her eyes and saying mean things under her breath. I’ve been here 3 times and it’s always been the same terrible service. They literally act pained and pissed off when you order a sandwich. Point taken, I will never spend my money here again! It makes me so sad though because the sandwiches are DELICIOUS! It’s the servers who make the experience so terrible! I’ve never felt so uncomfortable and been treated with such disrespect.

I. Don’t.Get.It. This place is GROSS. First, there is a layer of filth on everything. Most symbolic representation of this is the«ad» for a «gourmet» cheese plate with wine for $ 7.95 taped to the counter COVERED in DIRT. MMMMmmmmm sounds appetizing. Second, it stinks inside(more on that below). Finally, the store is completely disorganized. I went in on a Thursday night and the customers were drunk and acting stupid. The crowd reminded me of a class of 1990 high school reunion. You know, the type of people who were really«cool» back in the day and thought their good looks and charm would get them through. They were loud, obnoxious, and much too old to be acting like a bunch of drunken teenagers. Ugh. The«smoking» patio really turns this place into a smoking establishment. The smoke came into the building and I felt like I was in a smoking bar from back in the day. The layout of the store is chaotic. I felt like I was walking into someone’s storage shed. It’s not well lit and it’s not easily distinguishable where you’re supposed to order your food, pay for your food, etc. The woman at the sandwich counter acted like she’d rather be eating my toe lint than making my sandwich. The sandwich was surprisingly good, although they put about a pound of meat on it. Dang, this place is a hot mess.

I can see how some could think this place is junky-looking. Just at first glance, it looks sticky and just generally unclean. The store is composed of haphazardly lit aisles of beer, energy drinks, soda, etc. and stacks and racks of wine enclosing the 6 tables in the center of the room. There’s also an outdoor patio area for a nice summer day. This place is confusing because within its mess lies uncertainty. Is it a place to study(because there’s free wi-fi and people with laptops hang out here), a place to drink(as there are beers on tap), a restaurant(as there is a deli that serves burgers, fries, sandwiches, etc.), or a market(as there is decent selection of wine, plenty of beers and drinks)? Maybe that’s the appeal of this place. I didn’t have a problem with it because it looked clean enough for me– just a little messy. There weren’t any critters in sight, so I was fine. The Jiffy Market is a nice little nook in south Eugene. A place to get a burger to go. They have thick cut fries which are nice once in a while. The burger itself was pretty good and decently priced as you get fries with it too, though I’ve had better elsewhere in Eugene. The burger meat itself wasn’t very hearty or tasty. The lettuce, pickles and onions were fresh. I think the thing I didn’t like about this place was how the cashier asked me directly if I wanted to leave tip when I was paying for my order. Let me explain how this works. So you walk into the market. To the immediate right is the«deli» where you order. Then once you make your order, the person gives you a receipt then you take the tab to the cashier which is to the a few steps away to the left. Then at that point you pay for your meal. So I handed the cashier my credit card to pay for my meal, then he asked me if I wanted to leave tip and then he proceeded to explain why he asked, «because it doesn’t print a line,» he said. I responded saying Oh. But what was going on in my mind was, WHAT? Really? He wants me to leave tip on a TOGOORDER? Interesting. Not only was my order to go, but I also had to walk over my receipt to the cashier. Also, when I walked in, I had to asked to order. I don’t know. I’m not against the idea of tip at all, but I’m not staying to eat, nor is anyone providing me any service what so over, other than cooking the food, which is what I’m paying for in the listed price. Either way, I said no because I don’t see why tip is necessary on a to-go order in which the cook just cooked the food, bagged it up and announced there were 2 cheeseburgers ready and left it on the counter. The lack of enthusiasm and general assistance + to-go order didn’t warrant a tip. In this situation, I was offended that he even asked me if I wanted to leave tip.

Ditto all the other glowing reviews. I love to head here for their burger and a brew special(I think it’s Monday or Wednesday nights, $ 8?). If you love a laid back atmosphere and wonderful deli/greasy grill type food, and pretty much any beer you can think of wanting, you must check it out. They also have a tv where we watch basketball games. Selfishly, I hope it doesn’t catch on too much so I can still get a table.
